What our customer's say! "H A V E.....A .....B A L L.....W I T H.....T H I S.....T E A B A L L !!!!", THIS TEA-BALL IS VERY SLIGHTLY LARGER THAN THE ONLY OTHER STAINLESS-steel tea-ball of my acqaintance....a tea-ball which my father had over 30 years ago.... It takes me back in time, just to look at it! I'm glad tea-balls are back! The main difference between the two is that this new one is a bit larger on the top. The tea-ball my father had looked like an enlarged acorn. This tea-ball looks the same....except, with the larger top, it now resembles an Easter-egg more than an acorn. This tea-ball -- at about 3 inches by 2 iches, is about 3/4 of an inch taller than the one my father had..... A tea-expert I once spoke to told me that modern tea-bags don't give the tea enough room to e-x-p-a-n-d. A crushed tea leaf will not give out as much flavour, so the larger the tea-ball, the bigger, I think. This tea-ball gives more room than I have ever seen in any other tea-infuser....so it presumably makes better tea. Unlike mesh balls, (at least those I have known), "snap closed" tea infusers, and pretty little novelty teapot shaped infusers, this one is easy to open, and large enough to be easy to clean. The screw-closure between the two halves is wide and easily put together and taken apart. The large spacing of the screw closure, as well as the composition of stainless steel, ensures that this tea-bll will NOT become rusty. I just got my tea-ball about a week ago, but think I will be able to use it for many years. I find myself wishing another type could be made -- the same, but with smaller holes....so that tea from tea-bags could be put into another version of this tea-ball, as well! If there are other, better tea balls, I do not know of them, nor can I imagine them. For one to three cups of tea, this little ball is PERFECT! "tea leaves need to float around", I never use this ball. It replaces a tea bag but requires cleaning after each use. "very very useful", I use it on my teacup when I'm the one who wants to have tea in the house. Contrary to other infusers, it doesn't let the tea out, is easy to wash and closes perfectly. Not big enough for hosting a tea party, but good enough when you want a cup of tea on your own. "Tea Infuser, stainless steel ball", The tea-ball infuser has been around for many years. It is safe and easy to use. The price is right and it lasts for many years. The loose leave/grain tea can be closed tightly within the infuser. I can hook the chain, which is fastened onto it, easily on the rim of a cup or the rim of a tea can. Once I pour the boiling water over it and let it sit, I can just pull the used tea ball out and enjoy sipping my tea. ![]()
