"great for the office"
We like this vacuum for our office, but not for home. We work in a dusty warehouse environment, and our offices get a lot of tracked in dirt. We use the vacuum a couple times a week and it is great for the low, industrial type carpets. It does blow a lot of dirt around in front of it. I don't think it would work well on floors or area rugs on hardwood or tile floors.

The filter comes out VERY easily when dumping the accumulated dirt. After the first use, the original one fell out, un-noticed, when the vacuum dirt reservoir was dumped. We easily found another at the store, but a pain, nonetheless. Lesson learned and we are sure not to lose the filter when dumping the reservoir now.

For our offices it is perfect. Not for home, if you have a combination of carpet, tile and hardwood, in our opinion.

"Angel in Devil's clothes"
Have to use it to see how dirty your carpet floor is. Cleans fabulously. Assembles in 10 minutes with only 4 screws to fasten. If you are looking for a cheap solution for your dusty worries, this is highly recommended.

"great vacuum that quickly became bad"
I bought this vac because my kenmore stopping working for no reason and for the price and the reviews i read i figured it would be a good choice. At first I was amazed at how much dirt it got out that my other vacs didn't but it went down hill quick it still picks up dirt pretty well, but won't pick up slightly big stuff. It worked great on pet hair at first too, but now I can't get the dog hair out of my oriential rug anymore and its starting to look bad. The filter gets really dirty from one use and i have to hit it to get all of the dirt and hair out too, so it can be kinda messy to clean. If you just want a vacuum for light stuff and you don't have pets it works great, but I wouldn't recommend it for a pet household.

"PRETTY GOOD VACUUM"
I bought this vacuum cleaner when my other one conked out a few weeks ago. Even though I've only had this vacuum for 2 days,it's a pretty good vacuum cleaner. It seems to pick up everything off the carpet and suck it right up. It's a tad noisy but then again what vacuum cleaner itsn't???

The only thing that I didn't like was when I took it out the box I had to put a few pieces together.. I mean I put them together ok (..or at least I think I did...) :\

I don't like to read insructions... especially when they're in cartoon and not the real picture of the product. I have a hard time following directions when it's not the real pic. So if pieces start flying as I vacuum then I'll know that I didn't put it together o.k.

Overall it's a great vacuum for the money.

"Vacuums like a leaf blower"
Others have commented on the fact that it blows air out the front. For me, this was a major con. Everything I need to pickup gets blow away as I move the vacuum towards it. If this vacuum sent the air out from the side, I would highly recommend it, but for me having it blow out the front was unacceptable and I returned it.

What our customer's say!

"Good for the price", Good: Low price, light weight, floats easily over the carpet, good suction power. Does a nice job cleaning carpets.

Bad: Need-ear-plugs LOUD, switching inlet hose between carpet and attachments is a pain in the you-know-what, lacks a wide carpet attachment such as you would use under beds and sofas (fortunately, my Bissel Green Machine wide attachment fits the Dirt Devil's hose perfectly; save your old attachments).

As much as the annoyances annoy me, for the fifty bucks I paid, a good value.

"Too many problems for me ", This vacuum does a fine job at what's intended for. It will get your floors clean. However, it has several problems that are so frustrating that they detract from the things that I do like about the vacuum.

The main problem is that the suction pipe to which you connect attachments, does not lock in place when not using an attachment. This means that it frequently disconnects from the main head of the vacuum. I'll finish a section of carpet, and then realize that it's been disconnected the whole time and have to redo that section. It would have been so incredibly easy to prevent this by simply putting in a quarter-rotation lock of some kind. This is a critical flaw in my opinion.

Another failure is the way that the canister that holds the waste opens. You depress a button to open it, but the door is spring loaded, and when you do, it showers dust and lint all over the place. I have to open it into a plastic trash bag, or out doors, to make sure it doesn't mess up the floor I just cleaned.

I agree with another reviewer that this vacuum is very noisy! Much noisier than the old Kirby I used to have, or even the cheap, off brand vacuum I keep in my basement.

On the pro side, the vacuum is light, works well when the suction pipe isn't disconnected, and costs a lot less than more expensive brands. Unfortunately, this instance, you really do get what you pay for.

"Excellent vacuum", I am very impressed with this vacuum. I replaced a $200.00 Shark Infinity vacuum with this Dirt Devil vacuum and the Dirt Devil is far superior to the Shark, which is the worst, most irritating and worthless vacuum I have ever owned. Right out of the box the Dirt Devil vacuum picked up more dirt and dog hair than the Shark could ever pick up. The Dirt Devil vacuum is a great deal for $65.00

"Fantastic Price / Performance point", I must admit I was a bit skeptical about a sub $100 vacuum but this thing has surpassed all my expectations. Great suction, light, easy to setup, and easy to empty. We shall see how it stands the test of time but so far so good.

"bagless dirt devil vacuum", Very happy with the quick shipping and price on this vacuum very good
dirt devils are very good products.

"Best $50 I EVER spent", Most amazing vacuum ever! Best $50 I ever spent and by far the strongest, most powerful vacuum i have ever used....including a Dyson. Would recommend this product 110%!

"It really sucks!", This vac really has some amazing sucking power. I am absolutely amazed at how much dirt and cat hair this thing picks up.

Putting it together was so simple, 4 screws, done. I had it built in less than 5 minutes, and then took it for a test drive around my dining room and living room.
I have very small rooms and when I was finished, I was appalled at how much dirt and hair was filling the canister. It was all the way to the top.
I was previously using a Eureka every single day along with a Roomba, and this vac picked up the deep down dirt and hairs that both of those vacuums missed.
I simply could not believe just how much dirt and hair both of those vacuums did not get out, and I was running them daily!
I ran it around both rooms again the next day, and it sucked out even more deep down dirt and cat hairs. I am absolutely disgusted by the amount of dirt my two other vacuums had left behind, and they were being used daily.
I am absolutely amazed at how well this vac works and it's incredible suction power.

Like some other reviewers have noted, it does not do well on hard floors.
It has no height adjustment, so it just blows the dirt around on hard surfaces.
For me, that is ok, because the only hard floors are the kitchen and bathrooms which are tiny, and I usually sweep and mop those anyway.

This vac is amazingly good especially for the great price of just $50.
You cannot go wrong with this very cheap vac if you have a lot of carpet in your house.
It works far better than my Eureka upright bag vac ever did, and my $200 Roomba #4105 is a joke compared to this.

"Dirt Devil Breeze Bagless Upright Useless For Smooth Surfaces!", Do not Buy!!! Strong air output blows directly in path of vacuum, making it impossible to vac anything up, on tile, hardwood, or any smooth surface. This product is engineered to be useless! I have had several Dirt Devil Vacs in the past, all have been excellent, not this one!

"The Breeze is a mixe bag(less) of good and not so good", First off, how do you say "mixed bag" about a "bagless" vacuum? Well however you say it, here is my opinion on it - the good and the bad. I purchased mine as a second vac, and despite past nightmares with entry bagless vacs, wanted something I could empty after each occasional use vs. store away with a partly filled bag.

On the pro side: This unit is VERY light in weight. Great for those with arthritis or anyone who is carrying a vacuum up and down stairs. What is not lightweight is the power - it definitely has good suction. I also like the slightly narrower width whem compared to most other vacuums - 13" wide vs the more common 15" wide may not seem like much, but this fits in narrow places yet is still a full power vac.

On the neutral side: Emptying is easy, but like most entry level bagless units, the filter is a mess to deal with. Best bet is, from time, use a second vac to clean this units filter, or used canned air outside upwind.
Attachments are okay - connecting the hose is akward. Just a note - the height is actually simply fixed, not "automatic", but it does lift the beater bar up when the handle is in the upright position to prevent carpet damage.

On the negative side: This is a very loud vacuum cleaner. On a scale of 1-10, this is an 11. Pickup can be tricky, as it wants to spit items back at you - and with the exhaust blowing downward in the front, stir up dust ahead of you. Note - if you have problems with dust and allergies, avoid this or have someone else clean the filter for you.

Overall: The negatives are strong issues against the positives and neutrals on this vac. Also keep in mind that with the low end bagless vacs, the money you save on bags is more than spent on filters. Almost like buying a printer - the printer is cheap, but they get you on the ink. Here they get you on the filter.

All in all, this makes for a handy and powerful second vac, a lightweight vac for those who can't handle a heavy vac, and a vac to consider if you are really stretching the dollar. But be careful not to think bagless is going to save you money.

"Love this devil", We have been using the vacuum for the 4 weeks and we love it. It THE BEST vacuum cleaner we have ever owned . This devil sucks out tons of dirt that my old vacuum refused to take out.
