What our customer's say!

"Be aware of the warranty!!", The vacuum has good suction but it was refurbished and had some minor problems. I took it to authorized dealer and they said it won't cover by warranty because the warranty time is ALMOST over. Huh? I thought 1 year means 1 year not a week less!!! Yes they denied the repair while the warranty was still valid. That doesn't send a good message about customer service. Be careful about the 1 year warranty when considering buying this product.

"A new vacuum that works", This is a nice compact vacuum with great suction. The tools are useful, but the hard floor tool sometimes pushes the dirt then seems to pick it up the second pass through. I hope this lasts me a while because I don't care for vacuum shopping!!

"You get what you pay for.", Why I bought this:
Our past vacuums have been upright loud, heavy, cheap hoovers. We basically hated vacuuming with it. This was an upgrade in a sense for us (refurbished electrolux cost = new hoover cost). Overall pleased, but could be better.

Why I'm happy after the purchase:
-Lightweight handle
-Powerful vacuum
-Relatively quiet (quieter than the hoover upright for sure)
-Retractable cord works well
-Works so well we went from vacuuming every other week with our old heavy hoover uprights to vacuuming every other day with this electrolux oxygen canister vacuum
-Price versus new or other comparable "upscale" canister vacuums

Why I'm not happy after buying it:
-Ours definitely looked used or "refurbished". Scratch marks in several places.
-Difficult to disattach handle from carpet attachment. It requires stepping on a plastic piece to "push" the metal button in and release the carpet attachment. I can easily foresee that eventually down the line, this is going to break.
-Only the carpet attachment attaches securely via the metal button. All the other attachments do not.
-Carpet attachment only rotates one way
-You can only store 3 of the 4 extra attachments on the canister. One attachment will always be loose and w/o a home.
-Requires bags

"Vacuum cleaner", The first unit received was not the one ordered. A phone call solved the problem in a moment and the vendor provided a prepaid shipping label to return the incorrect unit. They shipped the correct vacuum cleaner the day I called and it was received two days later. The Oxygen recieved was like new. It works perfectly. I am more than pleased with it and with the vendor as well.

"powerful, but awkward -- not a Miele.", This is a decent vac, as far as power goes, and it comes with all the assorted attachments one expects, ready to go right out of the box with a vacuum bag already inserted. I can't say it doesn't do the job, it got coarse shepherd and labrador hair out of my carpet, thanks to the motorized power head, but it just feels a little lacking in the "quality construction" department. (However, to be fair, I used to own the tops in inter-homeular-dust-removal: a sweet little Miele cansiter vac that made dust balls quiver with fear. THAT is a quality vac, and my oh my do I miss it.)

Tips of the Hat

*good sucking power
*light weight
*big easy handle to carry
*lighted power head makes vacuuming in the dark fun again!
*power head turns on with a switch on the pistol-grip style handle
*it's red
*it's guaranteed despite being slightly used
*the quick reel for the cord is a nice feature
*three of the four attachments store "on board"

Wags of the Finger

*many aspects give an overall impression of cheap construction. (the stiff wand 'flexes' as one tries to direct it; the quick cord reel is rather slow and not so very powerful, as slight twists in the cord stop the reeling dead cold; the plastic body just feels 'cheap.')
*this bugger is difficult to steer. With the power head on, it wants to go off in all directions with all the tenacity of a floor waxer switched on overdrive. Don't worry, it's not gonna drag Gramma across the living room and administer wicked rug burns at the same time, but the little guy just wants to GO!
*The wand rotates a half turn in one direction where it connects to the power head, but doesn't turn the other way. It would be nice to have a smooth swivel here for effortless direction changes and easy steering around obstacles. (tip of the hat: Miele)
*kind of loud, despite having an "SRS" (sound reduction system). Turn if off if you want to talk to someone.
*The Vac Bags are small (smaller than a regulation football!)
* the canister doesn't stand up on end for more convenient storage, and all the attachments, 'cept for one, ride on top like baby scorpions on a momma scorpion.
*the flex hose is a low quality hose, does the job though.

I can't really comment on the washable Hepa filter...Mine came with the vac, (unlike new models, apparently?) and I haven't noticed an increase or decrease in the amount of Hepa's running around my house. It does seem to have all sorts of foams, baffles and filters through which the air must journey before it escapes, however, so I assume many of my hepas are becoming hopelessly entwined within. pesky little hepas.

So, if you want a vacuum that combines the power of a high-end vac with the rinky-dink construction of your inexpensive "everyman's" vac, and absolutely MUST pay a middle of the road price for it, (and you don't mind it bears the branding iron scars of being factory reconditioned), then why not? Or you could take my advice and buy yourself a nice miele. It will make your parents happy, and you'll experience pure orgasmic joy everytime you clean. Heck, you'll WANT the dogs to shed with a Miele around the house..."go ahead hair, I DARE ya!"

Since I bought it already, I say, "eh, not too bad..." I'll give it another couple of cleaning sessions before I decide if it goes back or not.
