"Keurig K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter"
I have been using this product for the past two weeks. It works absolutely perfect. I have no complaints whatsoever. Sure it takes 30 seconds to wash it after each use, but I save money not having to purchase K-Cups. I have had no spills or leaks as some other people have complained about. I highly recommend this product.

"I don't use it"
This works fine and is no problem to use or clean. However, with the choices and ease of K-cups, my wife and I don't use it. We feel that one of the best things about this system is the variety of coffee. This locks us into the use the pound. Other than that, it is an excellent item.

"Simplicity + Economy - Convenience = Decent Product"
I got my K-Cup Brewer for Christmas and then lucked out in finding clearance 18 boxes Green Mountain and Caribou k-cups at Linens n Things and Sears ($2.50-3.75 a box, not the INSANE $9.95 retail pricing). The deal here on Amazon is pretty good two (2 boxes (k-cups 25 count vs 18 retail) for $20-23 depending on sale/maker...

As far as store bought coffee, I like the Eight o' Clock Columbian coffee and it makes a fantastic cup of coffee with this insert. Starbucks ground can be a little too bitter in my experience. Obviously, this is an entirely subjective matter.

The Kuerig system is a great platform, but a little bit more effort is needed to use store-bought coffee for one cup of coffee. I have two coffee delivery platforms (lol)- the Keurig machine and my trusty six cup French press. The latter can be a time/effort saver but unless you have a thermal carafe (or two are drinking the coffee) the pressed coffee cools all too quickly.

The rest of the reviewers are general right about the upsides/downsides of this insert. I like it. Sure, you have to wash it out every time, but that takes 15 seconds. I rinse out the mesh filter in cold water, shake it dry, and load up for the next cup. I use the coffee grounds for compost for my garden, so this thing makes me a lot less guilty about clogging up the landfills with my all too numerous plastic k-cup empties, too.

Bottom line is this, if you want a 'Plan B' when the k-cups run out and have ground coffee in the house (but no other coffee maker), this is the way to go.

"I'm not feeling the love"
I can understand why people like this product and why there is a need for it. I just don't care for how messy it is, pretty much defeats the purpose of the Keurig machine in the first place. OK I know that there aren't any Keurig coffees that have the intensity of Charbucks but I have a better suggestion. Use the Keurig to supply the hot water and put your fresh ground in a press pot. You will get a better cup that way and you didn't have to buy this thing.

"K-Cup Reusable Filter NOT Good!"
In 11 months I am on my third K-Cup reusable filter. The outer shell that holds the filter basket is made from a cheap, brittle plastic that is designed to fail because it is an inappropriate material for this device. When the flanges on the the first once cracked off, I attributed it to my heavy-handedness. I bought a second, and was exceedingly careful. When the edge of the top cracked off despite gentle handling, I called Keurig customer service to complain and let them know that the filter shells were too brittle. They were very nice, but attempted to chide me for not being careful with it! They sent me a free replacement. When the top of THAT filter body cracked after one month I gave up. (It will just take three more filter replacements until the cost of my B-40 has been reached.) I tried Krazy Gluing the top back together and it sort of works. I won't buy another filter until they start using a material that is more suited for this purpose.

What our customer's say!

"K-Cup Resuable Filter", This is must for those who like a particular brand of coffee or tea that is not available in the Keurig single cup series. It's easy and convenient.

"Nifty little gadget", This product might not be worth quite 5 stars, but its certainly worth a place in your kitchen if you've got a Keurig machine. It works as advertised, and the only real drawback is you've got to shake the grounds out of it afterwards and give it a rinse before you can use it again. Still, even though there are literally hundreds of coffees you can buy in k-cup form there's always those special few that don't come that way and this device is great for those.

"On my 3rd filter...breaks easily!", I like the product, but hate that it breaks so easily. I'm on my 3rd one! The top plastic breaks off making it completely unusable unless you want coffee grounds in your coffee.

"Keurig K-cup reusable filter", Have not been able to find a coffee that tastes as good as the ready to serve K-cups. Coffe tastes watered down no matter what size cup you choose. Have tried different amounts of coffee in the filter but the WOW is missing. Do not use this filter at all.

"Use it if you like coffee you can read a newspaper through", I use my Keurig about 3 times a day, 7 days a week. One of the best things I've ever bought. K-cups are excellent but this is on the lacking side. The reason why is the whole point of this filter is re-use but honestly the point of the Keurig is making good tasting single serve drinks super convienent. This is not. Granted it's not hard to clean it but it's not easy either. The grounds don't come out easy from it since water is blasted through it. You have to rinse it and dump most of the grounds through your disposal.

Either way I didn't care because my local coffee shop has the best tasting brew around and they sell beans and wanted to brew their coffee at home. No matter how much of their dark roast I put in, even as far as packing it, it comes out weak. Like fast food coffee which I didn't exactly pay $200 to drink coffee that you could read a newspaper through. The reason why is that the water shoots through it so fast, it can't pull enough out of the grinds. It doesn't have to sit for 5 mins but you don't water shooting through grinds at 200mph either which it does. Using K-cups, the way it is designed it allows the water to sit in the K-cup for a least a short period of time. The water has to come out the small puncture hole at the bottom. This has mesh area that is probably 100 times larger and doesn't slow the stream of water at all.

Instead I get my local brew on by using the single cup filters that sit on the cup with my Keurig. So it comes out exactly like my local shop. Rich, dark and heavenly. I sit the filter on top of the cup, put in a cheap 250 for $0.89 filter with coffee and hit go. Takes a about 45 sec longer to fully drip than a k-cup but well worth it. I toss the filter with the ground in the garbage. Making the coffee is about the same amount of time, clean-up is faster and easier but most importantly the coffee is 10 times better. I spent $1.99 for the plastic filter and what, buy 2,000 filters before I get to the cost of the K-cup filter. You'll ruin the K-cup filter way before that.

So summary, if you care about using a cool attachment that's made specifically for your Keurig get this, otherwise if you want coffee you can taste, easier clean-up and cheaper cost, just use a single serve filter that sits on your coffee cup with your Keurig.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"No brainer... economical, environmental & better tasting!", First of all, I love my Keurig coffee maker unconditionally, well except for the loud noise it makes at the start and finish of brewing. I knew that I would want to get the reusable k-cup because I want to use the freshest coffee and the pre-packaged k-cups seem environmentally unfriendly in terms of plastic waste. I also wanted to be economical as each K-cup came to about 40 cents a pop, which is still much cheaper than going to the local coffee shop. The pre-packaged k-cups tasted stale or had flavors that I personally found cheesy. I felt compelled to write my first product review ever because I had been hesitant to buy this product reading reviews here that the reusable cup was somewhat delicate or little hard to use. After banging the little cup every morning in the garbage for the past months to remove the previous day's grinds, I can attest that the cup appears no worse for the wear and that it is a breeze to use. I guess I don't have to worry about breaking out the second one I purchased at the same time because I was convinced the first one was going to "disintegrate". This is a refreshing problem for a change!

"Saves money, but breaks easily", I love that I can put my own coffee grounds in this reusable filter/cup, however it's very frustrating that the plastic around the top breaks off so easily. I'm careful to remove any grounds around the rim and yet I have to buy a new filter about every 3-4 months. I wish there was an alternative that lasted longer.

"Keurig My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter ", My " Keurig My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter" is very economical. A bit of a pain to clean after use, but much cheaper to use than K-Cups. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

"great device.", Very nice addition to the Keurig coffee maker. Let's us use our favorite coffees. Don't recommend for any other size than 8 oz. Coffee is too weak (does not hold enough coffee grounds for larger sizes)

"A Great Cup of Coffee", This is a product that lives up to its reveiws. It's efficient, attractive and makes great coffee by the cup. We keep it on throughout the day, not only for coffee but to make a quick cup of tea. The pod basket works okay, although I expect Keurig will improve the design for easier use. I never thought I'd be sold on this kind of gizmo, but I am.

Although this is a by-the-cup machine, you can quickly make individual coffee brews for guests.
