"Rastaman Vibration.....oh yeh!" Vornado fans are THE BEST. They move the most air in the quietest manner and last the longest. The bigger they are the less noise is made by the moving air [the motor is very quiet]. But....I live in an old house that has a crawl space underneath. When I put this fan on high, on the hardwood floor, it vibrates and the floor and crawl space act like a drum to amplify that noise. So I took it out of the living room and moved it to the back of the house, put it on a rug, and placed it in front of a screen door. SO much better!! No sound at all in the living areas. Also it's ability to make a wind tunnel is utilized to it's fullest this way, sending a long narrow stream of cool night air into the long hallway. Then I put my medium size Vornado 610 fan [with a different base] in the room at the end of the hallway to get the cool air to continue into the living room. Very quiet this way. I used to use a great big black metal fan to pump cold air into the house. It always sounded like we were in a WWII movie. That fan could move air, but I didn't like all those dead German soldiers laying around......just kidding! "You get Rastaman Vibration in non-slab houses-0h yeh!" Vornado fans are THE BEST. "Excellent Air Circulators" Since I had Vornado 723B at my home, I felt the stable cool environment with air condition. Another suprise is Vornado 723B helps blow in/out the outside/inside air while I open the window. Overall, I recommend this vornado 723B as green energy saving product at home or office. "Do Yourself A Favor: Buy A Vornado!!" They may be more costly than your average fan, but they are SO worth it. I have had this fan for a few years now and it has never given me a bit of trouble. It cools very large spaces, runs quietly, and is very easy to take apart and clean. And, unlike some other "high-velocity" fans, the motor does not overheat. Just keep it clean and it will take care of itself. Once you go with a Vornado you will never look back! "Powerful" This product is so satisfying, its very powerful and it has a great choice of speeds, that will keep any room size cool, and it keeps the air flowing nicely all the time.

What our customer's say! "Vornado 723B fan", Vornado is in a class by itself. The 723B was a replacement for a box fan that stopped working after about 2 years. The difference between them was obvious from the get-go; on low speed, the Vornado's air output was considerably more than the previous fan's highest speed. Also, the Vornado appears to more durable & better designed than the other fan; it's smaller & takes up less space than the box fan, yet is heavier, probably because it has a sturdier motor. This fan is far and away the best one I've ever owned, and I expect that it will last a long time. "can't be cleaned", Yes, this fan is fairly quiet and it does do everything a fan should do. It is a little pricey, but I thought the reputation of "quiet and effecient" would be worth it. I simply cannot clean it. It came with my husband and has never been cleaned, it needs a good cleaning. There was so much crusty dust on there, I thought I would just have a go at it one morning and then I could literally rest in peace. I struggled. I have had other fans in my life, they all accumulate dust, but this one needs an entire tool boxto open up. Even with that, I never did get it apart. I therefore cannot recommend, ESPECIALLY in households with allergies. "amazing product", This product is amazing on a hot day- definitely gets the air circulating. I love using this product before it gets too hot, when using the AC would be too much and using nothing would be too hot. "Quiet with good air throw", I'm fairly happy with my Vornado 723B. At the lowest speed setting, it's pretty quiet (whisper / soft voice) but still throws a decent amount of air. At the highest speed, it throws a lot of air for a good distance, yet is still only moderately noisy. I definitely like that I can turn it down for low-noise without having to turn it off entirely. "Directs strong column of air, but pricey", I'll start by saying that I'm a repeat-buyer of Vornado fans, and I think they're worth the extra money. With one exception, all of my Vornado fans have been of high quality, and produce at least as much air as any other fan that produces the same amount of noise. (My benchmark, since I hate loud fans.) The fan has three settings. The lowest setting is good for very quiet, but fairly good, air. Most fans' lowest setting is unuseable, but I did find use for the lowest setting with this fan. However, you are probably looking at this fan in order to produce a large quantity of air, so the medium and high settings are what you'll use the most. High speed does produce a bit of noise, but in my opinion it's quiter than any other fan I've tested that produces as much air as it does. The main benefit to the high speed setting is that it outputs a tremendous quantity of air in a very tight column. It is amazing how you can direct the air to a specific spot. In my case this is what I wanted -- the ability to target an exact point at which to shoot the air. The fan feels solid, and seems to be built to last a long time. That would be consistent with my other Vornado purchases, which have all lasted several years with no problems. I was initially worried about the look of the bent tube "leg" (stand), but in person it looks fine, and you don't really notice it like you do against the white background in the photo. ![]()
Read this reviews before You buy... "Amazing Fan!", When our Air Conditioner died yesterday and we were told it would be 4 weeks before the part was available to fix it (I think it's coming via canoe from the mainland), I immediately rushed out to buy some fans. I was skeptical that a fan would keep us cool. My previous experience with fans has always been with the cheapie $19.99 fans from Wal Mart. A major concern with my fan purchase was the "finger chop-off factor" (FCOF) for my 1 year old. I tested every model in the store, and the Vornado models had the lowest FCOF. So, that's the real reason I purchased this model...I wasn't keen on the much higher price tag, but felt in the long run it would save us money and all the problems inherent with a digit-less child. As soon as I plugged in the Vornado, we could tell a difference in the house's airflow. This thing actually kept the entire room cool consistently...none of that oscillation garbage that only provides you air every 5 seconds. Last night, I had to pull out the comforter because the Vornado was working too well. Thank you Vornado for keeping us cool! ![]() |
