"Good Product . Fulfilled expectations" These biodegradable bags are worth the price that you pay for them. Size is perfect for a Kitchen trash bin. The bags are sturdy. It would be nice if I could get them locally or for free shipping. But that does not take away from the quality of the product. "Haven't leaked yet" I figured that these bags would break down ( since that's sorta the point ) while they were still in the compost basket. I'm on my second box and can happily report that they haven't leaked, broken or spilled food all over my house. Now we'll have to see if they EVER break down out in the heap. "only 12 bags" I use BioBag dog bags and love them, so I tried the kitchen bags also. The dog bags are sturdy and don't tear at all, but the kitchen bags seem to be made from something else. They don't fit in an average kitchen garbage bin and they also tear extremely easily. If you are using them strictly as compost bags and only putting scraps in them I'm sure they'd do fine, but they shouldn't be used for an average kitchen garbage bag. Also, it only contains 12 bags. Add the price of shipping and this becomes very expensive for a bag only to be used in a compost pile. "stronger than expected" I got introduced to these bags at farmer's market because one of the farmers uses them to bag the veggies you buy. I started re-using them and then bought a box of larger ones to line my kitchen trash can in an effort to cut my regular plastic use down as much as possible. I love them & I'm amazed at how strong they are. Definitely a great product you can feel good about! "Good for weekly use" I was a bit worried that the bag wouldn't last enough to make it to the outgoing garbage, but no worries. It's not quite so strong as the plastic ones, so put anything with sharp corners in the middle.

What our customer's say! "Not a plastic bag!", I have been using canvas grocery bags for a few years now, and it bothered me to still use standard plastic trash bags. These are great, though they aren't terribly strong. I find that the more recycyling and composting I do, the less trash I have anyway, though. My husband and I end up with about one bag of trash per 2 weeks. By the end of the 2 weeks, these bags are starting to weaken and you want to be careful when taking them out. Otherwise, it's worth it, knowing we're not adding more plastic to the landfills. Every little bit helps. "BioBags ", I like the BioBags because I can put my wet garbage in the bags in the can next to my sink and when its full, I just pull it out and tie the top together and toss into the yard waste bin. I wish they had a tie with them, buy I just tie the corners together. "Very, very thin", During the brief time I used these bags, at least half of the time the bag either tore or leaked. I'm all for "going green", but unless you're very delicate with your garbage, only placing perfectly dry and very soft/flexible/amorphous items in your kitchen garbage can, these just don't hold up to what I would consider typical and reasonable use. "Green Yes tough No!", These bags make your carbon footprint smaller but if you expect a strong bag forget it! "There seems to be mistakes in this listing", There seems to be mistakes in this listing. The image is of "Tall Kitchen" not "3 Gallon" size and the pricing doesn't make sense unless it is for three packages of the 3 gallon size -- the "Tall Kitchen" listing IS for three packages in which case the pricing is sensible. $19 for one box of 3 gallon size is not a sensible pricing. Please fix the listing! ![]()
Read this reviews before You buy... "Works for us", We have been using BioBags for about two years now and have been very satisfied with their performance. We use them to line a small covered waste pail, which we call a "cootie bin." We close the bag and empty the pail about once a week, throwing the bag into our compost pile. The bags break down very nicely and fairly quickly. The one thing we have to look out for is that the bags can start to break down in the pail if too much moisture makes it in with the waste and the temperature in the house is warm. I can tell you that's not a mess you clean up more than once. As long as we don't leave the bag in the pail too long, things are fine. "A great way to help the Planet", This trashcan liner is great.... I use it in my trash compactor..... so it gets used for a lot of conmpressions and STILL it holds up!!! I feel great about using a decomposable material instead of plastic, knowing I wont burden our planet in the same way as I would using plastic. Every bit helps! I use the smaller ones for our compost bucket. The big one holds up despite my concern at first of its durability. In fact it is better than the plastic ones I used! I highly recommend it!!! "BioBags ", I have been using BioBags for the last 2 years or so. The bags are very strong and depedable and best of all I don't feel like everytime I take my trash out I am adding to the plastic polution of our landfills. Try them...they are great! "Excellent alternative to plastic", I've been using the 3 gal (for the compost can), 13 gal (for the trash can), and dog pooh BioBags (for, well, you know) for a little over a year. They are a great alternative to plastic bags. I order mine cases at a time from a store when I go there for vacation, and get a discount (the one's here are kind of expensive). Great product, but I wish it was easier to find locally. "Happiness ", I feel very good about the fact that I have plastic bags that can be thrown in the compost bin and not the garbage. Compost rules! ![]() |
