"Hamilton Beach Toastation"
This little fella is great!!!! Space saving, convenient and a pleasure to use. Every one ought to have one!!!!!

"It works"
It's red, it's narrow and fits under our countertop, it toasts and broils and bakes, it was inexpensive, it works! We've had it for about a month and it's been used 15 times or so. I recommend it.

"Stylish and functional!"
We got this as a wedding gift and absolutely adore it! I missed having a toaster oven... he wanted a traditional toaster... this way we both win! An excellent conversation piece for our kitchen, and unlike our previous toaster, this one gets used a lot! We've made toast for breakfast, hors d'oeuvres for company, and french bread pizza for lazy dinner nights. The only reason I wouldn't rate this a five star is that I am not certain that the toaster oven gets up to the temperature I set it at, and things take a bit longer than expected to cook. Other than that, we love it!

"Cute and reliable, missing a couple features"
Have had this for 6 months and it works great. People always compliment me on how stylish it looks!

As noted in another review, it's hard to get the toast out early. The only other nitpick I have is that there isn't a timer associated with the toaster over -- others I have can turn off automatically when they hit a time limit, but this one you have to watch. Has not led to disaster yet, though...

"Sunbird"
I have one of these cute space savers. I like the compact size and it does the toaster and toast over duties as well as the other big monsters. You can see the bottem half of a piece of toast as it toast so the doneness can be monitored. Only real complaint I have is that using the level to eject the toast is almost imposible, a considerable amount of pressure is need and the toast goes flying. My granddaughter thinks that is great. Pulling the plug is the quickest way to eject the toast, and by the way was the manufactures' suggestion when I called to complain. I also have a regular toaster and pulling the plug is the only way to get bread out early. The oven does an excellant job of toasting my French rolls and Toastation is so compact I am going to buy another for my winter home.

What our customer's say!

"toaster oven", the hampton beach toaster oven is to small to work very good. the toaster part work good but the oven is to small.

"Convenient, not super great", This "toaster oven toaster" is not a bad purchase. It was somewhat well-priced and I do use it everyday. Although, what other reviewers say is true. The tops of whatever you put in the oven will burn if put at 350 degrees or higher. A pizza slice, bagels, etc. have to be closed monitored. And while one section will burn, the other side of your pizza or bagel will barely get a browning.

The toaster function I don't even use, the toaster will heat so slowly that anything coming out of the freezer or fridge will bend b/c it will melt before toasting. And if it's bread you're toasting, it will have the toast marks on the center, but not the top or bottom of the toast.
It's very difficult to remove something from the toaster early, I've found I have to switch it from toaster to oven and back to toaster to get it let go of the food.

The last negative is: it's not easy to clean. I had to throw away the crumb pan it has in the oven about 6 months ago because any little thing would get stuck to it. It has a lot of nooks and crevices for crumbs to fall into, and hard to get them out.

If you are looking for a spacesaver, this is not a bad choice. It works decent (the oven) and looks great (if you can keep it clean). If you want a real toaster, look elsewhere.

"Should be called "Crapstation"", Got this via our wedding registry. Saw it; zapped it because it looked pretty cool. Hmm... double duty. Nice idea. Worst toaster in the entire world.

Where do I begin? The front-loading toaster oven part has only @ 1 1/2inches of clearance... you can put in a bagel, but that's about it. Anything else is scraping the top off. Plus, whatever fits in the front door is likely to get scorched because the heating elements are only about an inch away from your food(!!)

Continuing on with the front "toaster oven" part. There is no such thing as "low heat" on this thing. If you put the knob on the lowest temp and have, let's say a piece of pizza in there; it will absolutely become a scorched mess. It's like a blast furnace; no matter what temp you've assigned, it just goes all the way up to bright orange, then coasts for a while on all the extreme heat it's generated.

The only good thing about this thing is that it matches the rest of our wedding stuff that we registered for. Beyond that, it's a frustrating piece of crap.

"Good affordable little toaster...and cute", I'm usually the type of person who will take function over form any day, but I gave in and bought this little toaster oven because I thought it was inexpensive (costs less than most adequate toasters), and so darned cute! (I tried to convince myself that it was a space saver because you can use it as a toaster or an oven, but I think I could have gotten one with a better oven feature than this one. The truth is, I have a Kitchen Aid stand mixer which is Empire Red, and I am constantly on a quest to find other appliances and kitchen accessories that match it, other than the more expensive Kitchen Aid brand, because I love it so much, and we're on a limited income. I love to cook and bake, so I rarely use it for baking, and I have never tried broiling or roasting in it. My daughter uses it more for reheating purposes when she doesn't want "mushy" microwave frozen foods (ie, pizza, burritos, etc.)

Pros:
Mostly made of metal and has a glass door, very sturdy, yet lightweight. I move it often when I need counter space, so it gets banged around quite a bit. I've had this oven over a year and it still looks like new. None of the finish or color has worn, melted or faded yet.

I bake our bread in a machine, and the taller slices are easily accommodated by the toaster slot; it also handles bagels very well. The glass door allows you to monitor the toast, which is a plus. I have found that our toast consistently comes out nicely browned when set between 2 and 3. I also use the toaster slot to toast hamburger and hot dog buns, with few problems of the rolls getting 'hung up' in the slot. When things occasionally hang up in there, a good set of kitchen tongs works well.

Cons:
As mentioned by other reviewers, it is very difficult to eject toast during the cycle...sometimes if the selector knob is turned to 1, it will eject, but most times, you need to unplug it, or the toast will hit the ceiling when you eject it via the side lever.

Baking/broiling temperature is inaccurate due to inadequate seal around the door (actually there is no seal). Trial runs are needed to determine cooking times. Since I rarely or never use the oven feature, not such a huge problem for me. If someone were to need to use it often for those purposes, it might not be a good buy for them.

Botom Line: I sacrificed a little function for form with this purchase, but I don't regret it. It was a good deal for the price.

"Beautiful but problematic", I bought this toaster a few days ago at a local store. Unfortunately, I did not read the reviews on this site before purchasing.
The toaster is beautiful (I bought the red one). However, it does not perform as well as it looks.
Muffins don't fit in the oven section, and even cut in half they still get burned on the top.
Chicken nuggets (standard small Tyson-brand nuggets) get burned on the top.
Waffles sag when put in the toaster part (Have tried frozen Eggo's, I have yet to try a different waffle brand, or try them on the oven part).
Toasts come out good. But it's really hard to stop the toasting. I pulled up on the lever as the manual says, but I had to push so hard that my toasts hit the cabinets above! That's when I decided to write a review and to get a new toaster. Unfortunately, the other toasters look so ordinary after this one.

"Didn't Last Past Three Months", I was sooo excited to get a toaster oven combination but was ultimately soooo disappointed that this product did not last past 3 months! I tried it twice - but twice the toaster feature did not withstand the test of (short) time. I am still looking to replace this item with one of better quality that can perform both functions well.
