"HOT POT!"
I Love this electric dispensing pot! Fill with water in the morning and there is hot water all day for tea., cooking., chocolate drink., etc. Of all my small electrics this Zutto is the best.

"What a great convenience for tea enthusiasts..."
Although the initial heat-up period is a bit long (I think about 15 minutes...long enough for me to forget to keep track anyway :-), once the water reaches the proper temperature, this is a wonderfully convenient product--so far we use ours primarily for those evening cups of tea, but occasionally we find it useful for other applications needing a quick dose of hot water. The steel with black exterior fits in perfectly with the other stainless appliances in our new kitchen as well so we don't feel a need to hide it--although there is a decent amount of hot steam released during the boil-mode (I just slide it forward so the steam is not captured under the cabinets), the exterior remains a comfortable temperature to touch. Except that we found it to be a bit high in price, we are very pleased with the function and appearance overall and would eagerly recommend it.

"Best hot water disepenser !!!"
This pot is easy to use, convenient, compact, good looking and a great investment.

"Mixed feelings..."
I have high expectations for Zojirushi's products. I've purchased a similar water dispenser (CD-JSC22) for myself a year ago and I swear I can't live without it because I drink tea all the time. I wouldn't expect it to malfunction in 10 years, but I'm quite bummed by the fact that it's Made in China. I was ready to return it if it's not the best looking dispenser in the market right now.

The recipient/user of this pot will be mostly using poland spring bottled water in this pot, so he'll be unable to test out the filter.

One can expect to get hot water 24/7 from this pot (except for the 20min down time when the water's boiling), nothing fancy. My family has a larger water dispenser of this sort at home, which is already 10+ years old. If you keep it in one place and take care to not soak it in water, it's an extremely stable product. I'll update this review with any technical issues I have.

"Tea Essential"
I've used this pot for some months now on a near daily basis and had absolutely no problems. It is a must for the tea enthusiast. Not only is it more stylish than most dispensing pots, it is in a league of it's own for selecting temperature and sustaining temperature over time. It is quick to boil, and can silently keep your water ready for tea for all-day use.

The cost of this pot is higher than your average boiling pot, but it shows in the extra features and in the build quality. The pump action is a much-loved feature, as is the break-away safety cord (all appliances should have such a cord in my opinion). You can just tell that the people that designed this knew what they were doing and cared.

On the downside, I wish for 3 things: 1) the ability to set the temp to more degrees (such as between 160 and 180 for green tea instead of 140); 2) an on-off switch instead of always just disconnecting the cord; and 3) a slightly deeper indent behind the spout so that more tea pots can easily fit under the spout.

If you are serious about tea, buy this unit.

What our customer's say!

"Nice, but need a larger one", I love my little Zojirushi. I use it daily for making oatmeal, hot tea, press-pot coffee, or ice tea. My only complaint is that it is a bit small, so I am planning on getting a larger model and taking my current unit to work to use for soups, oatmeal and hot tea.

"Instant hot water ", I really have enjoyed this item. It does the job well and my family has used it for hot cocoa, oatmeal, tea, etc. It's reliable so far and have had no issues- It's Japanese so it's really good quality. It also looks modern and there is a safety button that helps prevent accidents. The only minor hassle is

1. there are only 3 preset temps to choose from
2. It runs out of water fairly quickly so you need to refill often- there are other models that have more capacity but are larger and we opted for a smaller size to save counter space.

"drink more water", During the winter months we didn't drink as much water as we should because drinking cold water seem to make us colder, so we bought the electric water dispenser. It's easy to use, well insulated to maintain temperature for a long time, and a sanitary interior lining for easy cleaning. Making coffee, or instant noodles is quick too. Not exactly cheap, but nice to have.

"Best looking water dispenser, but not perfect", Its volume can be larger, for some reasons, some dark deposits keep accumulating on the inside anti-stick coating. Or are they coming out of it? Can't really tell. It replaced my Sink In-Erator inline hot water boiler and I now save a lot of money on electricity.

"Expensive but not worth it", I purchased this so I can have hot water all the time without having to boil on the stovetop. I returned this product, after receiving because I don't like the non stick coating on the interior. Instead I purchased Sunpentown SP-3618 Stainless Steel Hot Water Pot with Multi-Temp Function. This was much cheaper in price and had the stainless stain interior without the nonstick coating. It also has a nice light up feature when you press the unlock button for dispensing the water, which is good at night. You don't have to turn on the light to see where to put your cup.

"Does a solid job", I've been pretty pleased with this little water heater. It lets you select three different temperatures (though I wish that it provided more options than that), has a handy water gauge on the front, a magnetically attached power cable, and a set of two buttons to hit so that you don't accidentally engage the water dispensor. I'm pretty pleased with it.
