"Garbage!"
I would give this no stars if I could. Like another reviewer, we owned the previous version of this T-Fal Kettle (without the temperature dial) and were very happy with it. When it came time to replace it, we ordered the same Vitesse model. However, this one is made in China, not France like the original, and is cheap, shoddily made, junk. It took only a minute after we unpacked it to know we would returned it immediately. My advice: Stay clear of any T-Fal products made in China.

Although I cannot compare it to other electric kettles, I can highly recommend this one.

"Quick boil"
Very convenient for a quick boil. Probably the best electric kettle there is on the market. I wish there is a smaller model for the practical side of it since I rarely boil more than a liter of water. Very satisfy with this product.

"Love it!!"
I love my T-Fal kettle. I have an older smaller one that I still use, actually I wish they still made the smaller one as it is lighter weight. But the new one is better in that u can adjust the temp. to make it perfect temp. for drinking hot coffee. My older one is at least 8 yrs. old and still works like a charm. U cannot go wrong with this T-fal. Only thing that surprised me was it is made in China as compared to my old one made in France. If the new one lasts 8 years, I will be happy. I would never buy any other brand but the T-Fal kettle.

"Rubbish!"
Another example of poor quality chinese-made junk! We had the previous model (that was very well made) and lasted for 5 years of heavy use (6 times per day) before it sprung a leak so sadly we had to toss it away. This newer model uses much cheaper plastic, looks very cheap and nasty, and is so poorly designed and constructed that it wobbles on its base so badly that we feel it is dangerous. Shame on you Tefal! Another manufacturer that has fallen into the trap of supplying cheap, chinese-made rubbish! So back it goes and the hunt for a new kettle continues (the one available through Target is even worse!).

Update 1/08: Got a Braun WK200W - MUCH better!
