"Vacuums well but heavy"
As other reviews have mentioned, this handheld vaccuum is heavier than the "Dustbuster" type. It does much better at picking up dirt and crumbs.

If you only want to buy one vacuum, absolutely, this one is one of the best choices. It is a good helper for keeping your car,kitchen, living room and stairs clean. ,Easy carry but super strong.

First,it is strong, maybe more stronger that i expected(compared with another old black and decker vacuum i had). As some reviews said, for this product, hair really is nothing.

Second, fine design. Contemporary looking. like the little transformer.

If you want me to say something bad, the only thing i want to complain is about the sound. It is a little bit noisy, but acceptable, when you satisfied with it's super clean up work , you will feel better.







"Great unit for your home, garage, and vehicle!"
I have always been leary of handheld vacuum cleaners. They never seem to have enough power to make them worth-their-while. Even worse have been the battery powered cordless versions. In fact, I had never used a cordless handheld vacuum cleaner that I did not call "Junk". Thanks to this Black & Decker 18 volt handheld my opinion has changed.

First I need to clear up another misgiving. It seems that in recent time "Black & Decker" has earned a reputation for producing cheap but low quality products. I have found this to be mostly true (thanks to a mediocre power drill and hedge clippers). However, our handheld vacuum seems to be top-of-the-line in terms of quality and performance.

Speaking of performance, this handheld has all of the power that we need. We keep it "parked" next to our cat station. This is the area that houses our cat's food (and he is a real messy eater) and his litter. I am proud to report that our handheld vacuum makes cleaning up after our feline a breeze! Both dried cat food and misplaced litter shoot up the nozzle with ease (I am stunned to see other reviews that state that their unir will suck up cat litter!).

In the car the Black & Decker handheld vacuum has an angled nose which can extend by about 3". This makes it perfect for cleaning those tight crevices that are near impossible to reach!

The battery lifes seems to be good. In the 4 months that we have owened it we have never had the battery die while the unit was in use (we keep the vacuum "parked" on the charger). Storage is easy due to the inovative folding design - the overall footprint of the vacuum is quite small.

Final verdict - 5 full stars!

great suction, easy to empty the canister - i purchased this vacuum after having my baby - i needed something to suck up all my hair that was falling out all over the house - then i started using it all the time - works better than my upright. :)

"Great Handheld Vac"
We have tried many different models of handheld vacuums. The Black and Deck exceeds them all as far as power and performance. Has excellent vacuuming power and battery is strong for all those quick pick up jobs. Highly recommended.
