"Great Food Dryer" This dryer is awesome. We've gone through two others over the past few years. This one has a thermostat, the blower is on the top, the mechanism seems sturdy and the price is right. "Great snacks" I'm glad I bought this! It makes great healthy snacks. I just need to get faster at making them. They disappear faster than I can make them. So far I have only made fruit snacks like apple, banana and pineapple. I hope to make jerky soon. It is very easy to do and I don't find the fan too noisy, although you can certainly hear it if you have it in a room where you spend a lot of your time when it is running. Clean up is easy. This will be great for when my nieces and nephews visit. "Great Deal" This dehydrator is probably the most fool-proof one available. It works great and the price is excelent. My favorite thing to make is dried kiwi! "NEAT MACHINE" DID A GOOD (FIRST) JOB WITH TOMATO SLICES AND BANANA CHIPS. NEXT TIME I WILL ALLOW 10 HOURS FOR PROCESS. START EARLY IN AM. ITEMS DO STICK A LITTLE. I RECOMMEND IT. "Best Deal for your money" I bought this dehydrator based on all the good reviews here on Amazon. I have not been disappointed. At this point, the only thing I wish is that I had the money to buy more trays! I have had my dehydrator running almost constantly since it got here 2 weeks ago. I have dried an abundance of fruit. My sugar-fanatic husband munches on the dried fruit like candy. I have also put the fruit chips in my morning oatmeal with great success. Fruit leathers are the best! I love that I have an alternative to high sugar, high preservatives fruit roll ups. After fruit season is over, I am looking forward to trying my hand at drying whole meals to use for those "I don't want to cook" days or for backpacking.The possibilities on this one are endless.

What our customer's say! "LOVE NESCO DEHYDRATOR", I had a less watt for many years, and it took so much longer . Got this Nesco 700 Watt, and was so pleased with the speed compared to my old one. Love the Jerky , and the Nesco season pouches. A Great Machine. "Absolutely love it", I never owned a dehydrator before but this one is great. I've had it less than a months and have already made beef jerky, cantaloupe, a box of bartlett pears, apples, zucchini and bananas. My kids love the snacks and so does my husband. However, I wouldn't use the seasoning packets for the beef jerky because it has MSG in it. I threw it all out and just added my own ingredients. Other than that it's wonderful and would recommend this one to anyone. "Nesco Food Dehydrator", This is a great product. I never would have believed I'd be making beef and chicken jerkey with such ease. The motor is so silent you barely know the machine is on. I would recommend this product for the price it is a bargain. "Efficient, Does the Job", Love it. The only fault I have detected is the lack of an on/off switch. This is relevant when you check on the progress of the drying process. Much faster than my old Ronco. "LOVE IT!!", I love, LOVE, LLLOOOOVVVEEEE this product. I use this every single day... really! I make fruit roll ups with little trouble (spray the insert with a little vegetable oil before using), dry fruit and even freshed up cereals and spices that get a little stale from all the dampness this fall. Next we are going to try to make some jerky... the guys can't wait! I can't wait to get another one to use for some of my crafting too! 
Read this reviews before You buy... "Nesco Dehydrator", I love this dehydrator! It dries fruit in less than 8 hours, my mom's (ronco) takes 24 hours or more. I was surprised to see the set of netting(2) and the set of fruit rollup trays (2) were included as well as packets for making beef jerky. I have had a blast drying all kinds of stuff. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. "Met expectations", This is a well designed product that met all our expectations. The noise level is astonishingly low. It looks good and is sturdy. Just what we were looking for to add to our kitchen. "Performs well but small improvement would earn it 5 stars!", We have not used our dehydrator for jerky and so, can't comment on that. We have used it to dry fruit and make roll-ups with good success. It is easy to use instructions are clear and drying times are reasonably short. Our only gripe is the lack of an on-off switch and a timer. It does not need a high tech programmed digital do-dad, just a simple mechanical timer with an off position would be perfect! "Wonderful product", Great Design with the fan on top. So far I have used it for drying beef jerky, pineapple, peach, nectarine, tomatoes, bell peppers, and onion slices. I love it!!! "Re: Misinformation", The unit is loud and not efficient. According to the Recipes & Instructions, it takes 6-10 hrs to dry grapes. I followed the pre-treatment procedure and my experience is 15-20 hrs to get the grapes done. BTW, the grapes were home-grown, medium sized ones. Very disappointed. |
