Others say...

"happy with product"
Product is very accurate. Shipped fast. Really like it. It's easy to use and gives accurate measurements. Will buy again.

"great price"
The scale does exactly what it says it does and seems not only accurate but consistent. I can even weigh my toddler on it and it matches the doctor's scale pretty accurately. I have even used it for mailing books etc to calculate postage. Can't beat that for the price.

"Good scale, not good for body fat"
It performs well as a digital scale and seems to be pretty accurate and consistent. I ditched my cheaper digital scale because I could step on 3 times in a row and get 3 readings varying by 5 lbs in either direction. For the price, this scale is worth it just as a solid digital scale.

As a body fat calculator, however, it's ridiculously inaccurate and inconsistent. If you want body fat (to measure body fat, that is; not that you actually want more body fat), forget this thing. You'll have to pay more for that if you want it to work, I guess.

If you're just looking for a reliable and consistent digital scale, however, I think this one is pretty good.

"Excellent Weight Scale - Terrible Fat Monitor"
As a weighing scale, this product is excellent. Readings are consistent and accurate. However, as a body fat monitor, it is not great. The body fat readings are way different from the ones done at my gym (using calipers). If you need to monitor body fat in terms of whether you are making progress or not, then buy this scale. But if you are looking for accurate body fat / BMI readings, then this scale is not worth buying.

"Compares well to the doctor's office scales"
We purchased this scale, because we are very closely monitoring our weight as part of a physician-monitored diet program. This scale is proving to be right in line with the scales at the doctor's office -- very accurate.

What our customer's say!

"Okay.", I don't consider this scale to be a good value. For this price, it should always register the same weight. I like that it is easy to read my weight, but I hate that I can step on the scale 3 different times and get 3 different weights. It's SO annoying! I find myself averaging the weights - it usually can't decide between 3...so I'll step on like 6 times...resulting in 3 different weights...which I'll average. It's annoying. I have to believe there's a less expensive scale out there that is consistent. Also, the body fat function is rubbish. If you're an athlete, don't even think about buying this scale for that purpose. I'd find a different scale full stop. It does actually get really close to the scale at my gym...but the weight changing thing gets on my last precision-loving nerve.

"Not for anyone even remotely in shape.", I have recently lost 30 lbs and bought this to check my progress in my fat loss. When I got it I was dissapointed in myself because of the high fat content. I thought I had made more progress, but this rated me at 28.1% fat. I used a skin fold caliper from the gym and it said I was 26.1% fat. Not too far off. I thought I could use it to track my progress. I started lifting weights 4 days a week for an hour and a half a session. I monitored my intake of protein, carbs, and fat. I drank 2 protein shakes with creatine and glutamine a day. I hit the treadmill for at least 30 minutes a day, 6 days a week. My weight dropped 4 pounds in a month, but the scale said I was losing muscle and fat. I was pretty upset with my progress. I was hoping it was the scale. I decided to read some of the negative reviews here at amazon and saw other people have similar experiences. One reveiwer did an experiment holding weights while standing on the scale and I thought I would try that. With no weights I was 27.1% fat, holding 10 lbs I was 28.6% fat, 20 lb weights = 29.9% fat, 30 lbs = 31.6% fat. This scale apparently just takes your weight, height, and age and gives you an average fat percentage.
The scale said I was 27.1% fat. A loss of 1% body fat that month(loss of 3 lbs of fat and loss of 1 lb of muscle). I got the caliper from the gym again and found I had actually dropped to 22.6% fat in that month (lost 8 lbs of fat and gained 4 lbs of muscle). This scale almost made me give up on trying to get in better shape. I know it says its not for athletes, but they didn't give their definition of athlete. I certainly don't consider myself an athlete, but I guess the manufacturer of this scale does.
If you workout at all, this scale is not for you. If your just on a diet, it's probably OK.

"Excellent product", I purchased this scale the end of August and I absolutely love it.
My other scale would give you different readings each time I stepped on the scale. This one is very accurate. I know you will be pleased with it also. Another nice feature is that you can program different users in it and track the progress.

"Excellent product", Omron HBF 500 works through bio impedence and i really enjoyed knowing my body fat+ visceral fat,Resting metabolism and muscle mass.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Easy to use and to the point.", Like this review, the Omron Body Fat Monitor and Scale is simple to set up, easy to use, and accurate. I use it to monitor my weight and body fat, and don't have to worry about my settings getting changed because Boyfriend set his own profile on the machine - and it only took a few moments.

It's a good scale and monitor. I recommend it.

"A sufficient scale", I've had my scale for a few weeks now, and it works like a charm. It displays weight, body fat %, skeletal muscle %, BMI, and metabolism (amount of calories your body needs in a day). It supports up to 4 users (you have to enter some personal information like age and gender for the body fat %, etc, to work). It supports anonymous users, but for weight measurements only.

All in all, I'm quite happy with it.

"good for dieting", Since I like to weigh myself daily and see my progress on my diet, this is great. I was a little hesitant about having some sort of electrical pulse sent through me to check my body fat, but it can't be felt and I only do that about twice a month anyway. I probably get more exposure using my cell phone and standing near my microwave. I wonder if all this adds to cumulative exposure like radiation???hmmmmm. I think I'll google that. Anyways, the scale looks great, very high tech, and does exactly as advertised and has helped me stay on my diet. So you have to ask yourself...what's worse for your health a little battery electrical charge or staying overweight and getting diabetes, heart disease, osteoarthritis, no love life, etc.

"love it!!", I love it.. it does just what it says.. read the directions and you will have no problems. easy to read, I weighed myself by two other scales ad it was a 1/4 pound difference. not to bad on accuracy in my opinion. not sure about teh body fat and bmi yet, but as long as I can see a downward trend Im happy.its not all about numbers anyway.

"boo", I've had this product for almost a year and I keep using it because I'm cheap, but it really doesn't work. The scale is consistent only if I put my feet in the exact same position and stand the exact same way every time. I even have to keep my arms in the same place every time to keep it from changing the reading. If I haphazardly step on and off, the reading can change by up to 5 pounds! What good is the tenth of a pound reading when it's five pounds off? Even with all that effort it is still only a consistent weight, not an accurate one. I have weighed myself all over town to compare and the Omron is always off. As far as the body fat monitor, I am 5'3" and weigh 128 pounds and it often tells me that I am 32% body fat, which would make me obese. I'd have to be a skin bag of blubber with no bones or organs to be 32% fat at my height and weight. I'm pretty disappointed after having read so many good reviews before I bought it.
