"So far an excellent product." I haven't had this very long, so any durability issues will have to wait and if it craps out on us I will update the review. So far it seems a fine kettle. It is lighter than I thought it would be, yet it is obviously well made, very sturdy. It is fast, it shuts off when the water is boiling, doesn't leak anywhere, easy to pour, no drips at the spout when pouring. The only reason I gave it a 4 and not a five is that the water level marks are hard to see. Not only is the lettering really really small, they are directly behind the handle and the level gets steamed. Not a huge problem and not one that can't be worked around easily. The opening is a little small and will be hard for me to clean, but again a workable problem. I boiled and discarded two pots before I used it and the water tasted fine. I have filtered water and I don't expect much of a scaling problem. I really didn't realize what a convenience this would be, leaving a burner free for other things. Really happy I bought it, and I do recommend it highly. And of course Amazon's packing and shipping was excellent, no damage, and it came several days before the due date. "Fast and accurate" We are very pleased with our recent purchase and particularly with the speed in which we received it. We received it within 3 days of ordering! Chef's Choice 678 Cordless Electric Kettle "Great water boiler" Works like it should. Shuts off automatically. My wife uses is everyday and has nothing but praise for the electric kettle. "Countertop Kettle Boils Efficiently!", Excellent electric appliance addition to our kitchen countertop boils 2 quarts of water in about 7 minutes in the attractive easy fill and easy pour kettle. "Water Boils Fast", I had the Braun electric kettle for a number of years loved it. On kettle, switch finally stoped working. Was going to get same model, but saw the Chef's Choice. I remembered my neighbor had this brand, so thought what the heck i'll try it. Was very impressed with the way it looked out of the box, all stainless steel, easy to set up too, and use. What impressed me the most was how fast the water boiled, even faster than my other kettle. It holds a nice amount of water too, best of all no pots of water to boil on stove, that takes forever. I highly recomend the Chef's Choice for ease of use, fast reliable boiling time, especialy when you are making a pot of tea. I was lucky to get free shipping too, best of all I got it fast. Amazon is great with shipping and they shipped on holiday too, how cool is that. I purchased my V-tech phones from them as well. Cheryl "Nice product", I like this kettle for its design and function. I just wish that it was a little lighter for lifting. "Not perfect, but still great", I haven't been without an electric kettle since we received one as a wedding present, and wasn't about to try, after our last kettle bit the dust very prematurely. There's nothing better for heating water for tea, among other things. This kettle is hugh, and because of that it's heavy when full (but you don't have to fill it to the gills). Unfortunately, the handle has no balance point, and there's no other good place to get a grasp on it to make it easier to carry. So far, those are the only downsides I've found. "good value", looks good on the counter,heats water quickly and keeps it tea warm for about 45 mins to an hour, very pleased with it. a lot more efficient than my stovetop kettle and good value for the price. 
Read this reviews before You buy... "as necessary as my toaster", This is a great, reliable product. It heats water speedily, and has easy access for filling and pouring. It looks good, too. I have one and just bought another for my mother. "Easy and nice capacity", I read the reviews, good and bad and did some comparisons, and chose this kettle. I have been very pleased so far. It holds a good bit of water, heats fast and is quiet. It makes a click sound when it shuts off, and I must say the shut off feature is wonderful. The stainless steel looks nice, and so far it's been easy to keep clean and use. I have not noticed any kind of weird or nasty taste as some other kettles seem to have. I have never owned an electric kettle before, but use one at work. We are very pleased with this purchase. "extremely happy", Reviewed many kettles and picked this one. I am very happy with my choice. My sister has a T-Fal kettle that is rated for 1750 KWATT power, its heats up water a little quicker, but it is plastic. I was fearful to use a plastic kettle. Does show fingerprints. Like the auto-off feature too. "Shiny Kettle", Great shiny kettle. Two improvements over the older one: metal cap, opens wider. The water readout is wider and easier to read also. "Safe and convenient", I use this teapot multiple times a day. It is fast and I love the fact that it shuts off after boiling if I walk away and forget that I turned it on. |
