"love these" I hate the plastic utensils. These were buy one get one free I think, so worth the money, so cute and both my 3yr old & 18month old use them all the time. Would highly reccommend. "Oneida Flatware is great for my toddler" The Oneida toddler silverware is great for my toddler, turning three years old next month. The pieces are not too small. He can grasp the utensils easier than the grown up pieces, but can still stab and scoop like a big kid. "It Works, But Not Perfect! " It works for my 17 month old, but for the price, I will expect it to be made a bit heavier. The fork doesn't have much weight, it could bend pretty easily. The knife and the spoon are better made than the fork. Would I buy the set again? Probably not. "Wonderful flatware" I bought four sets, one for each of my four grandchildren (ages 2 through 5) and they absolutely love them. The utensils are easy for them to hold and look like "adult" flatware (which makes them feel quite grown-up). The first time I washed them in the dishwasher, I used a removable upper level basket made for baby items; however, the utensils ended up with a "pattern" mark caused by the basket. The next time, I put them in the regular silverware basket and have had no problems since. I highly recommend this set. "Nice set" This is the best kid's flatware set that I've found. The knife is somewhat disappointing as it does not have a serrated edge and is not sharp at all. It's fine for spreading butter and cutting very soft foods though. Another disappointment is that it is made in Vietnam. Good points are that it has a knife, it is very nicely proportioned - the fork and spoon are small enough to fit in their mouths, nice length of handle, easy grip, nice finish.

What our customer's say! "Great set for kids", My daughter is 2, and she loves her special 'big-girl silverware'. She outgrew the very small baby set we had, and the adult size is still to big for her. This is just perfect. "Price is too high", I purchased an Oneida youth set from the Oneida website (fork, spoon & knife) for approximately $13.00 and am very pleased with it. "Nicely Made But Wish They Were Bigger", Many years ago (in the early to middle 70's) when saving Betty Crocker coupons you could get good silverware cheaply. I ordered a child's set of cutlery that was sized for 6-9 year olds that included a knife that could really cut. I have been looking for that size in the recent years and can not find anything. This set will work well up to perhaps 6 years. My granddaughter will be turning 5 shortly and loves the size of them and they aren't babyish. However she does struggle using the knife to cut. I did buy two sets for the grandkids but wish they were just an inch longer. "This is the BEST!", Received this set several months ago for my now 5-year old granddaughter. After years of "alternative" flatware, this set has caught her permanent attention. It's so "grown-up" and she takes great care of its place in the flatware drawer. It makes me wish Oneida would sell these in flatware sets, say for four, with extended pieces. A family gathering may have many children, and children have friends. My granddaughter has both enjoyed and happily shared this set. For me, the care is so easy, it simply goes into the dishwasher with the adult stainless and comes out looking new. These pieces seem to tell you they will last, and last and last. I'll be getting additional sets as it fits my needs and have alerted Oneida to the possibilities. After years of expense with "alternative" flatware, I now see a flatware set she will still be able to look at as an adult. Hey, with good cooking and good eating, we're talking about looking at good memories here! I highly recommend this set. I also recommend requesting and using reasonably priced good quality flatware for children. "Great set!!", I think that this is a wonderful set to have for small children. Perfect size for their little hands. Also, it lets them have a nice set of utensils like adult pieces, not plastic sets. 
Read this reviews before You buy... "Excellent for toddlers", My sons loves his new flatware set. The knife is not sharp (so it's safe) but useful to help him learn how to cut food. The size is just right for his little hands(my son is 2). I love that I can throw it in the dishwasher. It's a much better alternative than any plastic-ware out there (don't have to worry about harmful chemicals). I am planning on buying more sets! "Ordering another...", Great and sturdy child's set!!!! Just like mom and dad's but sized for small hands...my dd is 2 yrs old and can manage them perfectly. Knife is not even sharp so great to teach with! "Super Toddler Flatware!", My daughter received a stainless steel toddler flatware set upon her arrival. We have held onto it until she was old enough to use it. It became the "shiny" set among her functional plastic sets. Over time, though, she began insisting on using the "shiny" ones so that she could have pieces just like Mommy and Daddy. With only one set, we knew that we were in trouble. I ordered four of these sets and hid the knives. My two year old loves them so much and actually eats better with these "grown up" pieces! We now need to buy a few more because even four spoons are not enough! Great investment for good quality flatware that can be used just like adult flatware! Cheaper "character" flatware do not have the same level of durability nor flexibility in washing! Most cannot be put in the dishwasher. These sets can! "Oneida Child Set Silverware", The only "true" silverware that my child could use when learning to use silverware. The fork & spoon are very appropriate for little hands & they actually scoop & pick up food! "Children's Cutlery", It was exactly what I wanted for my 5-7 year olds who like to have the "own" place setting. |
