What our customer's say!

"Not a good vacuum", Poorly designed, cumbersome, difficult to carry around (even using the strap) and poor suction. I got this as a "freebie" when I bought an Oreck upright, which is an adequate vacuum. Like another reviewer said, Oreck should nix the "freebies" and just make their regular vacuums cheaper. This thing cannot even pick up lint and pet hair. I don't know how it ever supposedly picked up a bowling ball.

"Broke and Oreck won't fix it", This little vacuum broke after a year or two. It still looks like brand new but won't even turn on. Oreck does not fix it unless you saved your receipt.

"Get a Mighty-Mite ", I ordered the upright and received this canister for "free". I even upgraded for $50. The upgrade was a ripoff -- a telescopic wand that's only about 3 feet high and a HEPA filter that I could have bought seperately. First of all, it has no wheels. I didn't think this would be a problem because I often carry my Mini-Mite around, and it comes with a shoulder strap. Well, my whole left arm went to sleep in about 2 seconds and I realized how many times I didn't carry my other one around, and missed the option. The suction is really no better than Eureka Mighty-Mite ($70) and barely better that Eureka Mini-Mite ($40). Oreck should keep their freebies and make their uprights cheaper!

Also, though I like my $500 upright, I should have gotten the $300 one. The only difference is the number of service vists and they push the better but way more expesive bags on you. (the same bags fit ALL models)

"Regret It", Well, like its taller brother, this thing is not what it should be. I am so fed up with it, I cannot even verbalize my frustration. Lots of pieces & attachments. Great. Where do you put them - either while you're cleaning or storage? I find myself having to carry every single piece into every single room in order to clean it properly. Never mind about the fact that the 'friction mehtod' of attaching said pieces (and poles and extentions) does not hold, I give it 5 minutes, if that, and then it falls apart. You have to keep checking it on it, to make sure it isn't coming loose or you could be after a cobweb & get knocked out for a pole falling on your head.
What a PITA, and a POS to boot. I will give it that it has some suck to it, most of the time. The only reason I still use it is for the stairs, as the Hoover 'motorized' attachment doesn't move very well in a house with 7 (or 8) cats.
Also, I had to make my OWN wire wrap - because there is nowhere to wrap that up to the machine. Sure, you can attach the actual plug to the wire, but how are you supposed to keep the wire wound? I fashioned a velcro wrap.
The entire thing is pitiful. Both of them this and the upright.
Don't do it, you will regret it. Maybe not immediately, but you will.

"Pretty good machine", I have six parrots and recently moved in with my parents. I've been using this little black Oreck of my mother's for about a week to vacuum the bird area daily. It's super light weight, and the shoulder strap makes it really easy to stand up, lean, and squat down in order to reach all of the corners and tight spots where bird dander falls. It does a good job at sucking up the dirt, and it's easy to change the dust bag. It's fairly quiet...well, quieter than my own plug-in handheld vac that also has 4 amps. I only wish it had a more sporty or colorful look. Also, note that it does not have a rotating deep brush for vacuuming carpets, as do some other plug-in handheld vacuums.
