"Looks nice" I tried it once and then realized I had lost ten bucks. Filled it up with my tea and that worked but I noticed the locking mechanism was flimsy. After I stuck the infuser in my cup of hot water, the water didn't enter the infuser chamber! The holes are too small. I waited to no avail. Finally, to get water into the chamber, I had to swish it around and bang it on the side of the cup and that's when the flimsy locking mechanism opened up. What a mess. My $2 wire-mesh ball infuser is much better. It does look cool though. "For Serious Tea Lovers!" I know this product may look a little too 2001 Space Odyssey for some folks, but the Tovolo tea infuser (I have the green one) works really well. You only need to use a scant teaspoon, if that, of your favorite loose leaves. The extra room in the bulb allows the leaves to expand completely, unlike a regular spoon or small ball infuser. I've found that those compact the leaves too much and the tea in the middle of the resulting half-soggy mass goes to waste. Not with this infuser, though! Water permeates all of the leaves, giving you the perfect cuppa!

What our customer's say! "This is the best infuser I've ever owned", I just replaced the one I had been using for something like 6 years, no kidding. I've tried all the other spoons and balls, and this one beats them all because the leaves stay put inside and you can stir your tea with it as well. With the holder, no more leaving wet teabags lying around or in the sink. "Good, but could be improved", Others have mentioned the flaws in this product. For me, it was easy to improve the product by drilling four small (1/16th inch) holes in the upper plastic part of the tea cavity: this allows air to bubble out of the infuser when it is first immersed in water. Without these holes, the infuser traps air and -- to be Biblical -- my cup runneth over. With the holes, this product works perfectly. "An Excellent New Tea Infuser", Just got my Tovolo tea infuser this weekend and I absolutely love it! Was very easy to use, very easy to clean up, and best of all, it infused the tea properly without letting debris from the tea leaves into the cup. A+ infuser! What I do like is the little holder which effectively eliminates drips. I also like the fact that you can stir with the unit--something you may need to do, because it doesn't infuse all that well. The top is solid, so that should have come as no surprise. "Nice Aethetics poorly designed product ", Being a product designer I was really attracted to the look of the Tovolo tea infuser. Unfortunately the holes are made way too small and the water has a very hard time infusing with the tea leaves. This product basically doesn't work! The designer should have paid more attention to the most important detail, function! It was $10 poorly spent, don't waste your time.
