"Wow it's quiet!", We just had our new disposal installed and we are absolutely amazed at how quiet and smooth it is. We had it installed with a 604 stainless steel Blanco sink and quartz counter tops. The 604 stainless sink is much heavier and thicker than our previous sink and the quartz tops are also much heavier than our previous laminate tops so this may help some as well to dampen the sound but I think most of the credit has to go to Insinkerator. What ever they did to make this quiet definitely paid off. No more rattling and shaking of the counter and sink. Don't even consider a lesser model. We paid $249.95 through Amazon plus $17.29 shipping.

"Excellent product", This procuct was recommended by a friend for our new kitchen. It was easy to install, my wife and I installed it, quiet and very heavy duty. Very pleased and looks like it's built to last a lifetime.

"Not a Great Disposer!", This disposer seems like a dream, but doesn't live upto it. I've had one for 6 months now. For "easy" waste it is quiet and works well. For "tough" waste (which is why you would buy this one) it sucks. Banana peels, onion skins, chicken fat, and other "tough" materials just don't go away, they sit while the unit just spins and spins. Recently, I even had the whole unit fall (become unattached from my sink).

I have complained to insinkerator about the fact that food doesn't go away, and even spoken to an authorized repair rep. The rep said that the newer units grind the food smaller and take longer. Well, forever is alot longer than I expected. Even a 3-4 minute spin isn't enough for tough foods.



"Great product, great price, prompt shipping, poor packaging.", Product arrived promptly, but in its original packaging, no outer box, its only handle opening torn, corners dented, and the stainless steel disposer easily visible through that opening. The sellers website states: "Professional Packaging
Every item shipped by eSpot is packaged in a brand new, high-quality box and cushioned with industrial-strength air pillows. While we spend more than the average eBay seller on packaging, we take pride in having every item we ship arrive safely to the buyer. " I had no way to assess who was responsible for the condition of the package, UPS or eSpot.
I returned the product at their expense, and the second one came in a new box with air pillows, but the disposer in its original packaging was in even worse shape than the previous one, causing us some concern that after the expense of installing it, it wouldn't work.

I spoke with customer service, which assured me that they sell a lot of these items and have never had any problem with them, but could not offer any further assurances regarding the condition of the packaging, etc. They are new to Amazon, so I checked their eBay ratings and they are very good. I had the disposal installed and it is working well so far.

eSpot was courteous, prompt, and the price was great. The transaction would have been perfect if they had used the promised packaging in the first place, and had inserted a note to the effect that sometimes packaging gets damaged in the warehouse, as customer service told me, but they checked and the item itself is not damaged. It would have saved me a lot of time.

"Silence is golden!", Damn! That was fast and perfect. Ordered on Friday and arrived the following monday! Amazon Prime is really great! The price was not substantially less than the local market, but the Amazon service was extraordinary.
