"Pot Cleaner" Works great. Takes out all the deposits and gunk from the bottom. Easy to use, too. "pot cleaner" This product is a ripoff. Each bag of this product can only clean a one qt. pot. A 3 qt. pot requires 3 bags, which amounts to $6 bucks per cleaning. You don't find this out until you get the product and read the instructions. "exceeded expectations" I've had my Zojirushi hot water pot for many years. I've rinsed and tried to clean it periodically but over time the hard water residue and scaling really built up to a disgusting level. My boyfriend got these powdered packs for me to try, I was a bit skeptical that they could do too much. But I followed the instructions written on the package and was amazed when my hot water pot came out clean as can be! It looks practically new again on the inside and I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend this product for anyone who owns a hot water pot and I will be ordering more for the next time I need to clean mine again. "worked like a charm" worked on my zojirushi hot water dispenser like a charm. After about one year of use, my zojirushi electric water dispenser was covered by hard calcified deposits. I tried to scrub it off, but it was so calcified nothing would come off. Then I got these, and I couldn't be happier with how easy and effective this product is, all it took was 15 minutes, and it disolved the deposits without harming my electric pot. "Work like a charm" I would recommend it to everyone who uses the hot water dispenser. It's very easy to use. Even if you don't see any scald build up, give it a try and you will not believe what is there. You will need one package per one liter size of pot. I only has the stubborn scald at the bottom of the pot so I figure I can put one liter of water just to cover the problem area and only use one package of powder. After the cleansing process is done, the bottom of the pot is cleaned just like the first day I got them. I then spot the ring where the water level was and realized how dirty the rest of the pot actually is. Invisible scald, I would call them. Anyway, I ended up using the rest of cleansing powder for the second cleansing batch. I'm using the pot to boil water for the baby formular. It's important that it's kept clean. This product delivers the result I hope for.

What our customer's say! "Expensive citric acid", This is just citric acid. 1oz of citric acid for 2 bucks?? - You can get citric acid at a cheaper price elsewhere! "Clean like magic - but pricey", This citirc acid cleaner cleans very well for my Zojirushi Electric Dispensing Pot, CD-JSC30, 3.0 liters. The instruction said to use 3 packs to clean a 3.0 liters pot every 6 months. That means each cleaning will cost me $6 which is not cheap. So, I only used 1 pack and it removed all the mineral built-ups. However, I've noticed the built-ups come back after a month. I wonder if I use 3 packs, will it remain clean for 6 months? "Excellent cleaner", I've just cleaned the Zojirushi boiler for the first time in the three months since purchasing it and the results were excellent. I did check with customer service first because the instructions in the manual and on the ADC-05 cleaner package are conflicting. The package says to use one pack per liter of water and since it is a 4 liter boiler that seemed like a lot of cleaner. Customer service said to disregard that information and follow the instructions in the manual which says to use just one pack of cleaner. "this product is awesome!", i just used this to clean my pot. my pot was in a sorry state, with bits of i don't know what floating down at the bottle. the instructions were simple and clear, very easy to follow. when it was all done, i had a pot that was so clean that the last time i saw it this way it must've been brand new. "Recommended! ", Unlike another reviewer, I read the product description before ordering and expected to use four packages for my 4L Zo water dispenser. Hoping that this was just worst case planning on the manufacturer's part I used only two packages for the cleaning process and it worked perfectly. Of course your results may vary but our local city water is pumped from the ground and scale starts to show in the pot after about three months. So my cleaning/descaling experiment was at the recommended six months for hard water. Some of you out there may be bristling at the idea of paying four bucks to clean a pot that just boils water but given the initial investment and what it would cost to use demineralized water I consider it a bargain. ![]()
Read this reviews before You buy... "Works Incredibly Well -- Worth It for An Annual/Biannual Cleaning", I'd tried vinegar to clean my zojirushi 3 qt device. It didn't work too well. But this stuff is great!! It only takes about 20 minutes and all that nasty junk on the bottom of the water tank comes off. (I did have to rinse the inside of the device once to get the stuff that had come off the sides, but didn't dissolve enough to go out through the dispenser.) Make sure you order enough for the size of your dispenser. 3 qts needs 3 packets. Update 7/16/08 -- I think the quantity of cleaner you need also depends on your water quality. For some people, one envelope will work. I tried one the first time I tried to clean the machine. It worked some, but wasn't enough to finish the job. I need three -- we have extremely hard water. $6 every 6 months is worth the time I'd spend chiselling the interior out. ![]() |
