"Braun Tassimo TA1200 - defective", Received this product from you and it was defective.
Called Tassimo and they did trouble shooting with me and
said it was defective. It wouldn't work. Had to return it.
Disappointed.

"So far I like it", I did a lot of research on the machines & discs/pods, & read most of the reviews, good & bad, on the Braun Tassimo, Keurig & Senseo machines, plus a few cheap ones. The only thing that held me off was the few bad reviews/complaints. But I finally ended up getting this Tassimo, even though it was more expensive, for the reason that it does everything. The other machines I looked at mainly do only coffee or coffee & tea, while this unit does coffee, latte, cappuccino, tea & hot chocolate. I didn't get it to make coffee, I got it to make everything with a single system.
There is little to no clean up (rinsing the pierce unit after a milk disc & emptying the drip cup takes only seconds), no pot to clean, no grounds, no pouring water into the unit (& all over the counter) because the clear water container snaps off for rinsing/filling, & there are 3 stores in my area (& I live in a very small town) that carry the discs plus I also ordered some from CoffeeForLess, which arrived quickly. The sound doesn't bother me either, as others have mentioned, because it lasts only a few moments, & I was already used to the coffee machine at work which grinds the beans (& sounds like an airplane taking off). I like being able to drink something different every day & have recommended this unit to friends.
The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the price (more than the others) & the size (just wish it was a little smaller).
One final note - I mentioned this machine to the Doctors where I work & they immediately decided to get one for our lounge & also considering it for the lobby out front for the patients to use to have a variety of drinks available.

"Terrible Quality - Wait For New Bosch-Designed Machines", Had the machine for almost one month when it died. Called Tassimo USA and they sent a shipping box and label (about three weeks later) for me to return coffee maker for repair. (Repair is done by a third-party in San Francisco.) Sent machine. Month later got the same machine returned to me, "repaired". Used it for two weeks when it died again. Same problem as before. Called Tassimo and they said same thing: We'll send you a shipping box and label to send it in for repair. Nope. Time to trash this machine and wait for the new Bosch-designed Tassimo machines to be available in September. These machines from Braun are just trash. Don't waste your month; wait for the new machines from Bosch.

"This product does not work at higher elevations!!", I was enthusiastic to buy this product, but it was not clear to me until I had ordered, received, unpacked, and started to use it that the machine is restricted to operation under 6200 ft. elevation. This is not a problem for most consumers, but I live at 7800 ft. I wished that Amazon had made this limitation clear in the advertisement of this product. The good news is that returning the product to Amazon was relatively painless -- facilitated by the easy-to-use online ("don't need to talk with anyone") customer support. Not so with the espresso I ordered along with it. Amazon classifies this as groceries and will not accept it back. Since it is packaged in unique pods made specially for this machine, it is my loss.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Great Machine", I got this for my husband for Christmas and it's used several times daily. I recently purchased another one for my son who loves it also! Great to have 'on demand' espresso, lattes, teas, hot chocolate, etc.!

"Some reservations about this product", I bought this from Target along with a few of the discs. I don't like the cooked taste of the UHT milk supplied with the cappuccino T discs, so have bought a separate frother from Froth au Lait, which is marvellous. It's impossible to buy the decaffeinated espresso T discs locally (I live in a large metropolitan area), and have had to buy them on line, which is very slow. They are not stocked in supermarkets. The hot chocolate is pretty ordinary, I use the frother to make a much better, richer drink. I make my tea in a pot with boiling water from a kettle, so I only use the Tassimo for espresso and regular decaf, which is easy and tastes good. The machine is very easy to use and to clean, and I find I can use a variety of sizes of cup. Only reservations are the limited choice of decaf (one type in espresso), and that it's not much use to me, because of my tastes, for any other drinks. I made the choice of this over the Nespresso product because I boycott Nestle. However, I should eventually have saved money over the Starbuck's drinks.

"I love this machine!", I just purchased the Braun Tassimo Beverage Maker tonight. It was so easy to set up! They had a quick start card in with the instruction booklet. It was a total no brainer. I did have a Keurig one cup coffeemaker, before I bought this one. It broke this morning. We've only had this for 2 years! I hope this one lasts longer. I like that Tassimo has a wide variety of T-Discs to by at Target. I bought the Maxwell House Cappucino, Seattle's Best Breakfast Blend, Suchard's Hot Chocolate, and Starbuck's Breakfast Blend. I tried the Maxwell House Cappucino first. I loved it! I love also that if you don't want a real strong flavor of espresso, that you can just push the button and add more water. Then, I tried the Hot Chocolate. It's got a rich, creamy flavor, but I think next time, I'll try adding one of the milk discs with it. I think it would taste less sweet, and even more creamy. I'm afraid to try any more coffee tonight, as it would keep me up all night, but I can't wait until tomorrow morning! I love all the varieties of hot drinks you can make with this machine. The discs are also less expensive then the Keurig K Cups. I really liked that!
The unit is also easy to clean! The piercing unit comes right out and rinses off easily. I can't wait til the hubby sees this! You gotta buy one of these!

"Hot Beverages should be Hot", I purchased this coffee maker on the recommendation of a friend. I received it in early January and had a very difficult time finding coffee anywhere here in Florida. I ended up having to go to the internet. Amazon to be specific. That was a problem I didn't expect. Then when I started using the machine (it was easy to use) I noticed that the coffee was hot to start with but in less than a minute it had cooled off dramatically. I have done numerous things trying to improve the situation, letting the water heat longer etc. but nothing keeps the beverage hot except to reheat it. I will donate it to a local charity along with all the coffee and hope someone else likes lukewarm coffee.

"Loving it!", I've had the Tassimo for a few weeks now, and I'm loving being able to get good coffee at the push of a button. Part of the reason I chose Tassimo is because of the selection of the coffee. I bought a bunch of different types and am enjoying trying them out. Also, the mail-direct program keeps me well-stocked.
