"Easy to use, Save your receipt and warranty!" Love this unit, easy to use. Stopped pumping water after about 6 months of use. Found warranty and receipt I had fortunately saved, warranty states 1 year replacement at no cost to consumer. Great, called the 800 number provided. No problem, cut the cord off and send with copy of receipt and check for $10.00. Whoaaaaaaa, warranty says no cost to consumer, after several being put on holds was informed they would wave this time only, HUH??? I guess consumers interpretation of no cost and Hamilton Beach is not the same. This was 2 weeks ago. Called this morning and was told it should arrive tomorrow, good thing Starbucks near, but could have purchased a new unit for what I spent there on coffee over last 2 weeks waiting for my (fast ship) replacement. Summation, I would buy again, but probably 2 units so as to not be out of my beverage for 2 weeks when one of them breaks again. "Great coffee!" Hamilton Beach 47686 Brewstation Plus Coffeemaker We love this coffee maker! No leaks , perfect piping hot coffee every time. This is the one that has the Flavor plus button and you get that extra strong coffee that we prefer. It will also brew 1-4 cups, but we haven't tried that, since we are avid coffe drinkers. Be sure to read all the directions before brewing. I added 1/2 cup of vinegar to the water for cleaning purposes before brewing coffee and never got the funny taste others have mentioned. Just hope it lasts more than a few months. "Love this coffee maker" This keeps coffee so fresh tasting with no burner to burn the coffee. I have not had any problems with it . This one is my second purchase was a gift for my in-laws, mine has worked so well and I have used it daily for over one year. "Fantastic Product" I have owned an older version of this product now for almost two years and have been Very pleased with it. It brews great coffee and it is wonderful not having to pour / spill coffee from a traditional coffee pot. What little cleanup is required is easy. This product is absolutely fantastic. I will never own an old style coffee pot again. "Update on my "no leak" coffeemaker" 2/14/08 UPDATE- My coffeemaker stopped working last month...just upped and quit. Lights were on, timer worked, but no coffee. Am currently awaiting a replacement. I'll update this review as necessary. It was perfect while it was working... 11/22/07 My husband bought this for me after seeing it on tv. It is an amazing coffee pot for the price and does exactly what the ads claim. It brews great coffee, is programmable for 1-4 cups, decaf (keeps it at a lower temp so you don't get a bitter taste, extra strong flavor setting and you can program it the night before so that it is brewing when you get up. It also does not have a warming pad so the coffee doesn't get overdone and it shuts itself off after two hours. I also like that it has a dispenser in front for you to fill your cup and the entire back comes off so you can take the pot to the table to serve if you have a sit-down table situation.

What our customer's say! "Nonfunctioning Lights", While this coffeemaker brews great java without the need for a carafe, I found the instruction booklet vague when it came to identifying the four lighted buttons on this product, exactly what functions they perform, and whether or not they are actually supposed to light up. The only button of these four that seems to light is the On/Off" button, in red. None of the others work, and I can only tell the green "Program" is working when I hear the BrewStation brewing. Also, the booklet doesn't explain what it means by "Flavor+" - do you press it before or after "Program"? It also doesn't explain exactly what the "1-4 Cups" option means. Is this button supposed to light up when only 1-4 cups remain in the tank, or when you want to brew 1-4 cups? I don't know whether or not these last two options are even working, since their buttons don't light up. Other than the buttons not lighting up and the basically useless instruction booklet, I do like this machine. By the way, this a replacement BrewStation. I returned the first one since I was having the very same problems with the lights that I'm having now, figuring it was defective. Apparently they all work (or don't work) like this!!! "A great improvement", We have owned an older model of the HB for a while and were disappointed when it finally died on us. But after getting this current model, we found it has been significantly redesigned and improved upon. It is nice to not have to fool around with the glass carafes. The updated Brewstation has taken on a new high tech design, while keeping the basic functions intact. All the controls and the clock have been relocated to the side. It is easier to fill the tank without spilling water than on the old model, although still not perfect in that respect. The new model keeps the coffee warm for just 2 hours., instead of the 2-3-4 hr. feature of the old model. But often, if I want to keep the coffee warm after 2 hrs., I hit the on button and I have found that the coffee still tastes good after another hour or so. This machine is an absolute breeze to program. The coffee has a wonderful flavor to it. We are very satisfied with the machine. The only real negative is that they have just a very narrow slit in the front to see how much coffee is in the tank. Very difficult to see. Maybe on the next version they can correct that problem. But despite that small drawback, I rate this as an excellent coffee maker. "Great coffeemaker", I have had this product for about a month now and so far it's fabulous. It's fast, easy to clean and has a water filter in it that you change out periodically. The only thing I don't like about it is that it is a bit bulky, I have cabinets over all my counter space so can not open and close it without pulling the machine way out. I would probably have that problem with many machines tho unless I went with a 2-4 cup coffee machine. I am happy with my purchase and have been enjoying some great coffee :) "Makes decent coffee but heat timer too short", I bought this coffee maker for the office and while it works fine, the heat timer is too short (2 hours). As far as I can tell, there is no way to extend the timer. I have to hit the "On" button again when I notice that it has automatically turned off. The coffee is fine and the temperature of the brewed coffee seems hot enough. So far, no leaks and it has worked flawlessly otherwise. I would recommend it to others. I bought it to alleviate handling a glass carafe as well as prevent the "bitterness" that is common with the coffee cooking for hours on the hot plate. Plus, it saves on electricity since according to the promos, it uses less electricity to keep it warm in the self contained unit. I gave it four stars because its not outstanding but its a good buy for the price. Its a good coffee maker that met my needs. "Excellent cup of Joe", I work at home and I make coffee everyday so having a good cup of coffee each day was important. So, this Christmas I went hunting for a coffee maker - one that made 1 cup when I worked or all the way to 12 for when we entertained. I checked out the reviews and settled on this one. I liked the no carafe and obviously liked what I read online....and I couldn't be happier. It makes a terrific cup of coffee!! My husband and I have used this almost every single day since Christmas, and I have never had a bad cup of coffee or even an average one. It is easy to use, easy to clean, and it looks great (of course my kitchen is black and stainless steel so everything matches well). It also keeps the coffee steaming hot for at least 2 hours. PS I have never had a problem with leaking, which I read in some reviews others had. Two thumbs up! 
Read this reviews before You buy... "Very happy with no problems", I read all the reviews that stated that this coffee maker leaks... it doesn't. I have had no problems with it leaking. Perhaps a few were sent out from the factory that had quality problems, but I haven't found any problems with mine so far. I like this coffee maker very much. I've never had a programmable one before, so I'm enjoying that feature along with the 1-4 cup choice and flavor+ buttons. I'm very happy with my purchase. "Amazing!", This is amazing. I did a review a week or so ago and cannot find it on the Amazon site. Basically, it agreed with ALL the earlier reviews of the BrewStation and BrewStation Plus that this product is faulty. I don't understand why the other reviewers haven't commented on the fact that all these products, and especially the Model 47686 - LEAK! No way to repair them! Customer service and quality assurance totally lacking! "makes great coffee", i actually don.t have this model but have the no whistles and bells one,and love it, will buy this one soon ,I am sending this ONE to my brothers family for christmas,i know that they will love it,susan from indiana "Hamilton Beach 47686 Brewstation Plus Coffemaker", This is an excellent coffeemaker. It is the first coffeemaker that actually prepares 1 to 4 cups as well as it does 12 cups. The extra taste brew works without making the coffee too strong. I highly recommend this product for home use. "So hot it's cool", It's surprising to find true innovation in such an affordable product. I was concerned that having extra features on a coffee maker would be annoying or cumbersome but, this coffee maker is very easy to program or just use. The 1-4 cup feature and the extra flavor feature seemed like fluff to me, but I find myself enjoying them too. The design team should be rewarded for comming up with the dual purpose container, it's such an easy way to fill the resevoir while also keeping the coffee hot and fresh. Every morning I start the day with a gooood cup of fresh coffee, no mess, no fuss. I like it! |
