Others say...
"Easy to Use" Easy to use and works great. I am an adult with braces and the waterpik is excellent at removing foreign substances from my mouth. "Want to keep your teeth?" Aside from a very good toothbrush (one of the various makes of "sonic" style electric brush), the best thing you can do to keep your teeth is clean between them. Flossing does a good job, but strong enough waterpick does an excellent job. Use all three and your dentist will be amazed. The waterpick device is a vibration style pump that pushes spurts of water through an small nozzle you hold. The water is used to clean between the teeth, and between the teeth and gum line. This removes debris, plaque, and bacteria, and helps keep your teeth and gums healthy. Depending on the pressure, it can do a much more thorough job than flossing. This particular device has enough pressure so as to be able to cause discomfort. I highly suggest starting at a low pressure and turning it up, until you know where "your" pressure is. It is not a device for everyone, children (etc) should not use it without supervision. A good dentist will caution you that though it can remove debris, if misused, it can also cause debris to become wedged, and possibly damage the gums and other soft tissues. I consider it to be essential, along with my electric tooth brush and floss. "great product" This is my 4th water pik. Has helped stopped and even reversed my gingival problems. Only problem is when you grip the handle you sometimes disconnect the rinse head and get a shower. "Works Great" I have been using this product lately and it works great. The Water Jet has various speed settings which increase pressure gradually and helps in cleaning the gum tissue. I am very happy with this overall. "yet another leakage in the handle after only a few months of use" We are very disappointed with this device. We bought it only a few months ago and have been using it regularly, two adults, once a day, but recently the top bit of the handle started to leak big time and the waterpik has since become unusable. This is very disappointing. We are going to have to trash it and find an alternative product. Personally I find it simply scandalous to market such rubbish products. Yet another consequence of nonsensical outsourcing and frenetic globalization. I'd much rather spend twice the price for a reliable product, rather than one that lasts four months and will end up polluting the planet a bit more.

What our customer's say! "Pik vs. Floss", After my new dentist badgered me to get a Waterpik, she obviously knew I just wasn't the type to get my big hands in my small mouth with some dumb old string, I finally ordered one. It really has been worth every penny. Even convinced my wife to start using it and some gum problems she has had are starting to go away. We can't understand why her dentist hasn't been bugging her like mine did. About the only complaint I have is it works counterintuitively. I would have thought when you push the button on the hand held head that it would pump but it is the opposite. Turn the switch and you better have it in your mouth ready to go and only push the button when you need to remove the head from your mouth. I've done my share of washing the mirror in our bathroom. Otherwise works super. "Health Hazard", I purchased "Waterpik Ultra Dental Jet 100WP" in Sept. I used the small toothbrush that came w/it one time when 1st got it, put it aside, then several weeks later I decided to use it again..As I used it The small bristles came out in my mouth, the toothbrush had broken into 2 pieces, one large piece & one small section. I was concerned that was a definite HEALTH HAZARD, I emailed the company with my concerns they didn't respond so I called the company spoke to a Secretary she said will pass it along to her superior "if he is concerned he will contact me" He NEVER returned my call I would NOT/do-NOT recommend this product & to add to that it leaks. Am satisified that it does preform well but the health hazard & lack of concern of the company bigwig bothers me greatly. "Waterpik Ultra Dental Water Jet--Excellent!", My husband and I are extremely satisfied with our purchase of the Waterpik! The jet attachments are wonderful for our needs, the only complaint is the basin isn't large enough to run it longer! "Waterpik Ultra", Works as advertised and definitely leaves my mouth and gums feeling much better than flossing ever did. Would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a way to have healthier teeth and gums...Thanks "Does what it should!", My dentist suggested I get one of these. I have had it for a month and it works great and does the job. I still use floss, but I love the way my gums feel after using the Waterpik. ![]()
Read this reviews before You buy... "Outstanding product", Recently bought the WaterPik Ultra and must say I am exceedingly pleased with the design, construction, and performance of the unit. From a design standpoint, Waterpik has chucked the outdated prevous models which were bulky, awkward, unattractive and underpowered. This unit has been trimed and refined like something from Apple -- attractive, functional, and with a healthy dose of visual appeal. Construction seems solid and well fitted, right down to a permanent coil in the hose to the handpiece that nestles nicely back into the body out of the way and with no tangles. As for performance, I am just short of amazed. With a mouthful of old fillings and repairs that have now outlived their useful life, I was skeptical that the WaterPik could deliver on its 14-day money back guarantee, especially since I had owned a unit many years ago that was not worth the money and time expended on it. But this little beauty delivers a strong water pulse that really cleans in hard to reach places. If this product saves the cost of just one filling, it will more than have paid for itself. "Wow!", Totally amazed by what a great job this product does. I have not had any of the problems I have seen listed here. All I can tell you is that I feel as though I have just walked out of the dentist's office every day. I am less inclined to eat food that is bad for my teeth (and for me) because I love the sparkly clean feeling to last all day. I use the Sonicare Elite and the Waterpik Ultra at least twice a day. I do floss with the Reach battery opperated flosser once a day but I feel this is probably over-kill. I feel great when I go to bed and I wake up with squeaky clean teeth in the morning. I WANT TO BRUSH MY TEETH AND USE THE WATERPIK!! It gives you a very comfortable, fresh feeling. Try it, I guarantee you won't be sorry! I did not have trouble adjusting to the settings and I vary between high and low just because sometimes that is what I want. "Works great but can be too powerful", This works as advertised but the I cannot use it past a 1 or 2 setting. The higher settings made my gums bleed - and they don't bleed otherwise. The tank is the perfect size. I'm sure my hygienist will appreciate it! "WaterpikUltra Review", This product is absolutely the BEST! I love all the features and the variable water pressures. Great for the teeth and gums! Waterpik Ultra Dental Water Jet "Waterpik", A well designed product. Compact, efficient, water capacity sufficient to cover both upper and lower teeth completely without needing to refill. Noise is kept to a minimum while operating. The Pause button is a very desirable and often used feature. A drawback is length of the connective hose. Another 10" to 18" would be a welcomed addition. The ease in which this hose retracts makes for easy clean up. There are no regrets in having made this purchase for the purpose of improving dental health. ![]() |
