"My Kids Love It!" This product is wonderful. My kids have a million Nintendo games, and this device allows them to play games they have previously played with the ability to get more points and explore different parts of the games they were unable to achieve before. It has added new life to some older, forgotten games and excitement to newer games. "poor quality" I purchased 2 of these for my children (ages 9 & 10). One did not work at all, the other was disappointing. It did not provide cheats for many of the games the kids were expecting. I think there is another "Action Replay" model that if more reliable. Don't bother with this one! "Bleargh" This action replay is more brittle then glass. It breaks easily, and is very hard to use if you have windows vista. The code manager only works for windows xp. Meh. "good while it lasted" Bought it. Arrived fine. Worked fine for about 3 days. Then all the game cheat codes on the unit somehow erased themselves. Link to internet software installed fine, but didn't get a chance to use it. rh "No problems here on Vista" I understand that there have been problems with some using Vista. Here is what I did: 1- Install program and check the box to put a shortcut on desktop. 2- Right click on desktop icon and choose properties 3- Click COMPTABILITY tab and click box to choose "Run in compatibility mode for:" and choose "Windows XP (service pack 2" in drop down box. 4- Click box to choose "Run as administrator" and ckick on OK. 5- Run program, after windows ask for permission to run program choose update and driver will install. 6- Close program, connect and start AR and restart AR Manager You should be good then. Just restart DS if pc still doesn't read it. Hope this helped.

What our customer's say! "Just what we hoped for", My son had his eye on this product for a long time. I resisted, arguing that loading cheats onto your game seems counterproductive. Isn't part of the fun and satisfaction of playing knowing that you figured things out on your own? Obviously, I don't fully understand the frustrations of Pokemon. He came up with his own money and I ordered the Action Replay for him. He is 100% satisfied and has had absolutely no troubles with using it. From a mom's perspective, I don't really "get it", but he was so happy to be able to catch "shiny Pokemon". I'm just glad it did what it was supposed to do, easily, the way it was supposed to. "the kids loved it - a good value", They were waiting for it and when it got here it was immediately put into action. They have been using it since delivery day and continue to put it to good use. "Bad customer service.", As other people have encountered. My little 10 yr old brother had the whole list of the cheats wiped out. And it happened suddenly! What the hell? I'm very tech savy and no matter what the device or technology, I always naturally figure out how to make things work out. I read manuals. Trouble shoot alot on my own before contacting customer service. For me calling tech support is A LAST RESORT. So what do you know after spending a few hours of timeless trouble shoot I call these "code junkies" people and they're automated voicemail keeps hanging up on me. This thing is useless. Customer service non existant. Throw this away and spend your money else where. Save your money. Forget this. Seriously. "Really cool!", The DS Action Replay is really cool. You put it into the DS, pick the game and the "cheat" you'd like and then take it out. Next you just plug in your game and play. My kids (ages 8 & 11) love this. It helped them get past where they were previously stuck in their games. The best part is that you only need one since you only need a minute to choose the cheat before you play. No fighting and I only had to buy one! "Not great", I bought this for my son. He LOVED it. It worked great for a few weeks, then just stopped working at all. 
Read this reviews before You buy... "Destroyer or Helper Screw Up v.s.Help alot", An Action Replay is pretty cool!! Once I had so many weeds in Animal Crossing W.W. and the action replay turned every weed into 100 or 500 bells(money). And another time I had to pay off the mortgage on Animal Crossing the action replay turned into 1 bell i had to pay off!! But be careful beacause if you use it too much it will screw up your d.s. and your games but the a.p. really helps your games too!!! In nintendogs the a.p. gave me a million dollars and gave me a seaside house and now I can go inside the dog cafe and swim at the beach!!! Is'nt that awesome!!!!!!!!!! You should TOTALLY get this awesome action replay! I also recommend the DS accesorie packet! It comes with a car charger,regular charger, a double colored stylus, a stylus cover, 4 screen covers to keep it clean, and 4 d.s. cleaners to keep it from getting dirty and oily!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great, huh?! "Super Cool!!", This little gadget is awesome!! My son loves it!! Super easy to use, and he is now playing games that he was bored with before. "Gamebusting is the word for it.", For those who have had problems with this AR Device, it's probably because they were using the codes that came with it. Code Junkies is known for its "Quantity over Quality". What I did to help prevent such problems was create my own codes. Since I was using this primarily for Pokemon Pearl version, I downloaded this handy tool called Pokesav. Which allows a person to create codes that are perfect and problem free. Although, when I first used it it kind of for some reason put 95 Explorer kits in my mail bag. So, to fix the problem I created a code to delete those and replace them with 995 Letters. I recommend if someone were to buy this to try to find a good source for codes because when Code Junkies say that this device is "gamebusting" it's true. "junk", Daughter saved her own money to purchase this. It worked for 3 days. If it were available, I would give it 0 stars. "Awesomest game in History (according to my son)", Greatest game ever for DS. It helps you get ahead in your DS games by giving you cheats/pointers to win. |
