"CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN"
I BOUGHT THIS FOR A FUN FAMILY DAY. IT WAS A HIT!!!! EASY TO PUT TOGETHER, EASY TO CLEAN. WE HAD A BALL. !! I HAVE THE KIDS ON VIDEO. I SHOULD BOUGHT MORE.
THANKS

"Yummy"
We've enjoyed this product so much as a family. We've even have taken it on vacation with us and it's been a huge hit every where we go.

"Yummy!"
Overall, I loved my chocolate fountain. It was alot of fun and was quite delicious! Also I got my chocolate fountain for only $15 on Amazon when I could have payed $40 in a store. : ) One think that was a little bit of a disappointment was that it was a little bit challenging to clean up, but it does go in the dishwasher!

"Totally Disappointed"
I thought of this at the last minute when I was trying to help my daughter think of things to do for her teenage sleepover. I thought I was getting a good deal at my local target. It was on sale for 39.99 (from 49.99) -- then I read all these reviews that some only paid 10.00 for it! Well ... that isn't the reason I am disappointed but it dosen't help either.
I brought this home and put it together fairly easy. Then I looked for the book so that we could melt the chocolate and start dipping. No book. I bought the only one at our local Target too so I knew there was no use going back. I called Rival and the person told me they would e-mail it to me within 15 minutes. I waited 30 minutes and called them back. A second person who answered the phone there told me she would email the booklet via pdf file within a few minutes. I asked her if she was sure -- yes she says. Still waiting... I called back 15 minutes later (the guests were due to arrive any minute). I get a recording telling me to please call back again because they were now closed! I never did get anything sent to me.
After researching for an hour on the internet, I knew I had to melt the chocolate first and add oil. I added approx 1/8 cup of oil to 1.5 lbs of chocolate and I never could get it to go up the middle and flow down. I don't even have any idea if I came close to doing it right or not. I'm so disappointed that I'm taking it back in the morning...

"Chocolate coating food = Mmmm!"
What is there to say - it works, use good chocolate and you won't be disappointed! Great for cozy nights with you and the wife watching a good movie together.

What our customer's say!

"It was a big hit!", We ordered this just in time for a surprise birthday party, which featured several fondues. It was a hit! Everyone loved it. We kept it running for the entire time, well over five hours, and it kept the chocolate hot and at the right consistency. Of course, we had to add more chocolate as the night went on.
We will definitely use this a lot. Great product.

"Disappointing Flow but Fun Nevertheless", 1st one didn't work....no functional motor

2nd one...even after melting good quality chocolate and mixing the oil as recommended the appearance of the "flow" of the fountain left a lot to be desired. I added more oil, a little at a time while mixing and it finally began to come out over the top but seemed to plop rather than flow and did not give the "fountain" effect. only the edges of the levels were covered in chocolate....leaving the black plastic to show. It almost seemed like the chocolate cooled off too much from the base to the top and needed to have the other parts heated as well....

Also, you need to know to allow MUCH MORE TIME to get the fountain going. Allow an hour...not the 10-15 minutes in the directions.

This is a slightly noisy product, and did not have the pretty fountain appearance of flowing chocolate but we still had a ball with the novelty of the whole thing. As a self described "party perfectionist" I was disappointed in the way this looked.

Since most of the reviews are glowing...you should also know these things before you decide to buy....love the chocolate though!

"Great Product!!!", My 6yo daughter wanted a fountain for her birthday party. I researched different products and found this one was the best for the money. I used simi-sweet chocolate chips and it worked perfectly. The kids dipped marshmellows, strawberries, bananas, pretzels and animal cookies. The adults found this a hit more then the kids did. The set up and clean up was eazy, the motor is not noisy and the flow of the chocolate worked the way it was supposed to once I got it leveled. I am so glad I bought this product.

"Use Chocoley chocolate in your fountain", I also love my fountain and have used it mostly for holiday gatherings over the last few years. I have discovered that using chocolate sold by Chocoley is the best way to keep the chocolate flowing smoothly. [...] It melts easily and flows well with the fountain's auger-style pump. It's slower to harden as well, which helps with the clean-up after all the guests have gone. We have really enjoyed our Rival fountain.

"New Year's Eve tradition", My husband bought this for me for Christmas a few years ago after I commented on one at an event at a local banquet center. It has been a staple of our New Year's Eve parties since. I love how easy this chocolate fountain is to assemble and use. Even though I only use it a couple of times a year it takes less than two minutes to put together. The instructions include ratios for chocolate to oil and recipes for some things to dip (like shortbread cookies). I have a double boiler which makes melting the chocolate mixture and adding it to the preheated fountain super easy. I use milk chocolate morsels and everyone comments on how the fountain looks and the chocolate tastes. It is a nice touch that the forks have different colored ends to tell them apart and 8 is plenty. Cleanup is easy too, there is rarely much left!

"amazing value and fun", Don't hesitate to buy this. Simple to assemble and use, it's great for I'd guess up to 10 people. Melting chocolate chips with canola oil was child's play. Turn the fountain on and voila - practically instant party. Even this small version looks classy. Taste and consistency of the fondue was outstanding. Everyone ate too much. Clean up was easier than you might imagine, just soak in soapy water to get the majority of the chocolate off, then into the dishwasher. What a blast! Can't wait to do it again.

"Kids had a great time", My daughter (12) had eight of her of girl friends over for a party, and for dessert we tried the Fondue Fountain for the first time. Instructions for assembly and use were clear and the fountain went together very easily. We melted two pounds of chocolate, poured it into the fountain and it worked fine. I never saw two pounds of chocolate go so fast. Clean up was a snap, all the components (except for the motor and the girls) go right into the dishwasher. For the price, $10.99 on sale, I would definitely recommend it.

"works great for the price", This is a great small appliance that I grown to l with only two uses. Though it says that it has a 2-pound capacity, I found that I needed maybe a pound more to get the flow right - more might be needed still. Clean up is a little tedious as there's more oils in the chocolate used, but a silicon spatula and a sink full of a good dishwashing soap did the trick. Also, I noticed that it does shake/vibrate a little once the motor turns on, could be out of balance. Great for small parties. I can understand why some fountains have stainless-steel 'trees' - the chocolate will stay warmed throughout the whole process of falling and being pushed back up. Apparently, it can be used for cold sauces (motor with no heat) and without the fountain attachment as a warming basin (heat only) - I have yet to try these options. I would recommend this product.

"Good Fondue Fountain for the price", I saw this on Amazon for $10.99 so I couldn't resist buying it. Overall it works fairly well. I have only used it once but so far it works well. I saw this same product at Target for $50 so I love that I got this on such a great deal. I think Amazon even increased the price of this unit after I purchased it. I have a few issues with the fountain. First, it only does chocolate so no cheese fondue. Second, you need a lot of chocolate to make this thing flow well. I had to use 4 small sized bag of chocolate chips to make it flow well and I still think that was still not enough chocolate. That means that this will mainly be used when you have a large number of people over. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with it.

"Easy and fun ", I received my fountain and the kids couldnt wait til I plugged it in. A little assembly was required but didnt take long. I followed directions and used a bit of oil with the chocolate. The fountain flowed very well and the kids and I had a great time dipping things into the chocolate. I actually plan to buy another as a gift.
