"poor design", I bought one for our club. It didn't last long enough to fill one recycle can worth of aluminum. The crushing plate would bend back because the metal rod was too short to support it. It would also "jump track" and jamb. I ordered a replacement but once I looked at it I knew my problems would return so I just asked for my money back.
Great idea, poor implementation.

"use it at work", We use this product at work. The lid is difficult to get on the container, but the product works real well!

"can crusher crush & store", Great product. Great price. Works great. Best can crusher I've ever used. Crushes can perfect every time and falls in the can. All you need is a 30-31 gallon garbage can.

"screws loose", works well although it dose not attach easily to just any 32gal can, the instuctions are non existent and the screws come loose easily and are quick to lose in a pile of cans

"Best value you can get!", I looked into getting one of the self-contained crushers that cost around $100, but I'm extremely glad I went with this one for a multitude of reasons.

1. We planned on keeping whatever we bought in the garage, so aesthetics were unimportant to me. I don't need to pay for prettier design.

2. This one fits onto any 32 gallon trash can, so the capacity is a lot higher for (again) much less money. We had a 32 gallon can sitting in our garage already.

3. The fact that it acts as a lid to the can is a major bonus as far as any errant smells are concerned. We rinse our cans but unless you are rinsing them repeatedly, there's going to be syrup residue that can start to smell.

4. $40 versus $100. No brainer!

As far as performance, it's got no problems. The handle is padded for comfort. Extremely simple and easy to use. Crushes perfectly and the cans fall right through with no hang-ups or other problems. A solid investment if you recycle for money or to reduce curb clutter on recycle days!
