"I plan to get another one soon"
I love this pot it is great. Why didn't someone think sooner to make a deep skillet like this. I make Pasta sauce, Cramilize onions, Fry chicken, anything you can think of. It is soooooo good I am getting another one. When it come to pots and pans Rachael Ray beats Martha Stewart hands down. Great Quailty for a great price. It is sooooo easy to clean. Try that with Martha Stewart people....

What our customer's say!

"An everyday workhorse", If you're looking for an everyday workhorse of a pan, then look no further. This pan goes from stovetop to table with ease and is just the right size to handle many different types of meals. From scrambled eggs to casseroles to spaghetti sauce to taco meat, you'll find yourself using this wonderful kitchen tool almost every day, like I do.

There are a number of features that give this pan its appeal, but here's some of my favorite ones:

High Sides - I can "slop" food around in this pan without fear of sloshing over the top (and, in the process, incurring the wrath of my wife who is the stovetop cleaner).

Handles - The rubberized material on the handles will get slightly warm, but not too hot, making this pan comfortable to move around without aid of a pot holder. The helper handle is a HUGE plus when transferring to the table and this pan is oven safe to 400 degrees.

Glass Top - I cook a lot of things that need to be watched (red beans and rice), but don't want to remove the cover to inspect (loss of heat and steam, sometimes important to a recipe). The glass top is a godsend when keeping track of your creation.

Heat Transfer - I am an admitted 18/10 stainless steel snob. Our main cookware set is all stainless and I absolutely love it for all the characteristics that make stainless a serious cook's choice (braising and lack of hot spots, for example). The most important feature, in my mind, is even and fast heat transfer; stainless "responds" to changes in heat quickly. I was surprised to find this pan did very well with changes in heat.

A few notes on care and cleaning: This pan does have a non-stick surface, so don't use metal utensils when cooking; you will invariably scratch the coating and ruin it. In addition, soak the pan with water and a mild diswashing liquid like Joy, then scrub with a sponge. I prefer to immediately hand dry with a dish towel, but that last step may not be necessary.

This pan will give you many years of service if cared for properly (we use ours almost daily and it looks almost new). When both of us are cooking, we fight over this pan so you may need 2!

"excellent product", I have used this unusually shaped oval Rachel Ray pot about 4 times and each time I am so happy with the results. It fits perfectly over two burners, it cooks evenly; it holds a large quantity of food so it is perfect for stews and braising. I recommend it highly. It is well worth the price. It seems to me that it is an answer to stovetops that only have one large burner because it fits so well on two small burners with the same and perhaps better results than using just the large burner. Every cook should have at least one of these pots.

"Practical AND Unpractical", This pan is great for making a large skillet meal and even for boiling or roasting things on top of the stove. I do, however, find it hard to store because of its length and it doesn't quite fit on any burner on my stove. It has plenty of uses, but it's the non-cooking aspects that are unpractical. Also, just like the full set of RR Hard Anodized pots and pans, it has bolts on the interior of the pan where the handles are. Food likes to get up in there and stick. Nothing that can't be handled, but you need to put attention into cleaning that area.

"wonderful, very pleased", This is a nice pot with many applications. Wonderful for all dishes-especially rice with cranberries, etc. Clean-up is easy, maintains new appearance. The orange handles are cheerful. The oval shape fits nicely on one burner.

We had misgivings about the clean-up & utility of the glass lid. It is well-tempered, metal-rimmed & we like it, for you can see the inside of the pot. It is not heavy.

This is a healthy cooking tool as one does not need much oil on the base-nothing sticks. We also really like the extra high rim. We agree with the other reviewer-this is fast becoming one of our favorite pots/pans & is very useful. We are pleased with our purchase.

"Saute pan 5qt", This is a great pan. The handles are a big help. Like the depth of the pan too. Only down side is the heat distribution on my cooktop but not much of a problem...unless I'm using both the saute pan and the pasta pot, but I make it work, love both.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"I truly love this pan!", I have always owned Revere Ware pans with the copper bottoms but after my daughter raved about the entire set of Rachael Ray cookware she was given for Christmas last year, I decided to try this pan. I absolutely love it! I thought it might be too big for just 2 people but it isn't. I have arthritis and can still work with this pan. I love the way it cooks, the easy clean up, the glass lid so you can see how things are coming along and those fabulous easy grip handles. I now want the whole set.

"This pan can do anything!", I bought this saute pan at the same time as the Rachael Ray Pasta Pot (which I also love). For a brief moment, I thought I made a mistake buying this because I thought that I could use the pasta pot for everything. That thought passed quickly once I realized that I needed to be able to cook pasta simultaneously with a sauce, or whatever, in the saute pan. The saute pan is also not as deep and makes it easier to cook certain things and use different utensils that would be more difficult to use in the pasta pot (like a spatula to turn things).

And why do I say this pan can do anything? Last week I volunteered to make fried rice for a work function, so I began to cook the rice in my rice cooker. The problem? Apparently my rice cooker decided it didn't want to work, and I had given away my backup rice cooker! After some thought, I decided to throw the rice and water in the saute pan, and lo and behold, it worked! In fact, the rice cooked much faster than it would have in the rice cooker, probably because of the large, yet shallow, area of the pan, and the texture was fine. You wouldn't be able to tell the difference! For me, this pan works miracles.

"Rachael Ray pots", The very best..I love this oval shaped cookware. Cook food evenly and nothing sticks to the bottom. Easy to clean ...

"Great pan", This is a great pan. The first thing I like about this pan is that its oval shape saves space on the stove. And it is super easy to clean, and the size is good. I use it everyday. You can cook all kinds of dishes in this pan.

"Love this pan!", I am so glad I got this pan. It works perfectly on my electric stove! The shape allows for more room for other pans on the stove! I loved it so much I just ordered the pasta pot in the same shape!
