"Senseo HD7820 coffee maker"
I have had one for years and love it. I bought this one for my son that is very particular of his coffee. He spends about $150 a month on Starbucks coffee, because it is good and fast. Now he has one that produces coffee on the run, in the morning to compare. He will save a ton on his coffee to go. I love the froth and the flavor of the coffee and there are a lot of variety of flavors to meet your demands. crsnhog

"Finally! An Idea whos time has come"
Remember when all those "Pod" coffee systems came out a few years back? Well I jumped on the bandwagon and purchased a Black & Decker machine. What a mistake! Then I got a Senseo machine.

If you want hot, strong, fast coffee with no fuss this is the machine for you. In my house we have a regular 12 cup drip coffeemaker, but with 2 coffee drinkers in the house we go through a pot fairly quickly. That's where the Senseo comes in handy. We use it as a add-on when we just want 1 more cup, but don't want to run it through the "big" machine. We just turn on the Senseo, add a pod, let it warm up and TaDaa!

We actually have 2 machines, one in our kitchen and the other in my workshop for when I need a quick pick-me-up. The only time I have gotten a bad cup of coffe from this machine is when I forgot to put the pod in the machine before brewing. (please note THAT important tip....)

An added bonus, is that you can get really good deals on the pods from Amazon. (as of this review date) I have done some price comparison at [...] & the Senseo web site, but the best deal is still here.

"Disappointing Discovery"
I have a strong urge to write this review even I bought this Senseo deluxe single coffee maker from another company. Senseo's mechanism that they designed is excellent. It is easy to use and keep it clean. However, the coffee did not taste good, to my expectations. I expected for the coffee to taste with more flavor, bold and robust. The Senseo coffee pods smelled delicious but did not measure up for the coffee flavor with this deluxe Senseo. At first, the Senseo Brazilian coffee flavor was used for a 4 oz cup coffee, it tasted weak with a staining aftertaste that I couldn't erase from my mouth. That burnt taste reminded me of Maxwell coffee grounds with an old stove coffee maker from 1960's and 1970's. Yuck! Then, another 4 oz cup coffee was made with a mint chocolate coffee pod that I bought separately. The flavor is a burnt old coffee with a drop of mint. This morning, the 8 oz coffee was made with the 2 mint chocolate coffee pods as directed. I hope the flavor would improve, oh boy, it tasted worse! I would rather to purchase a cup of coffee from nearby McDonald's. If you want your coffee to be high quality, this single-serve coffee-maker is not for you. If the flavor of coffee is not important to you with an ease of cleaning up afterwards, then, this machine is for you.

"Senseo Coffeemaker"
We have the standard Senseo coffeemaker and really like it. I drink decaf only and my husband drinks regular coffee and tea so it is nice to brew one cup of whatever you want at a time.

We bought a second home so bought the Deluxe Senseo because of the adjustable spout (we had to buy special shorter cups for our first Senseo) and the larger water reservoir. Kudos to Senseo for adding these features!

"Perfect for the office"
I've had my Senseo for just under a month now and I love it. I bought the 7820 model to use at work so I could use my large coffe mug and it fits just fine. Some of the Senseo coffees are a bit weak for my taste but the Brazil and Kenya blends are alright. I also found that I can use Melitta coffee pods with my Senseo, if I use the 2 pod holder. Melitta has a blend called buzzworthy and yes it is exactly what it implies. I'm able to make a 8 oz cup of coffee with one pod that is still strong enough for an old G.I. like myself. 2 pods will definately kick your eyes open in the morning. The machine is easy to use, a breeze to clean and will make any strength coffe you desire. You just have to experiment a bit with different blends. Not for the pot per day coffee drinker, but perfect for the 1-4 cup per day drinker.
