"Not for Food Cans! Limited Use"
I got this in hopes of being able to crush all the food cans so that our recycling bins wouldn't always be overflowing. What a letdown! This unit is ONLY able to handle beer and soda cans. With both my husband and I cranking on the lever together, we could not crush a normal green bean can. This should be great for soda and beer drinkers, but for those who are looking for an aid to recycling food cans, forget about it! It's useless and I'm looking for a beer drinker to give mine away to.

Husband loves it! I highly recommend the collection bin that attaches as well. Sturdy and easy to use.

"It does the job."
This can crusher does the job. It doesn't flatten a can as much as the "boot on the floor" method, but it is much easier to use. I mounted the crusher on a wall in the laundry room. I placed a garbage can with a plastic bag in it under the crusher. Pulling the handle down crushes the can; as the handle is returned to the up postion the can falls into the container. Pretty handy. I'm going to get two more: one for the office and one for a friend who uses a lot of cans. I will probably get the container that goes with this crusher for the office, since it seems a little neater than my method at home. It will take several trips to the metals recycler to pay for 3 crushers. But, I am confident the crushers will still be working when that beak-even time comes, And I will have the satisfaction that the cans are being recycled and not going to the landfill.

"Practical & Sturdy"
This is a very well made product. I have mine hanging in an outdoor area, & so far the elements have taken no toll on it. It is made well, & it is so easy to crush cans that I can even get my wife to help out! It costs a little more than the others, but the bottom line is that you usually get what you pay for. I looked around for awhile before choosing this item & I'm glad I did.

It is made of a very strong plastic, and unlike metal crushers, the pivot point on this contraption is rock solid. I've had it for almost two months now. It's easy to install, quick and fun to use, and it crushes standard size cans down to a fraction of the size. It's great. Instead of buying the collection can, I place a big plastic tote underneath the crusher - the cans automatically discharge into it.

For a moderate workout, collect a good amount of cans and then bring them to the crusher and start crushing away! It's a fun, rhythmic process that leaves you with a sense of accomplishment after you're done.
