Others say...
"Love it!!!!!" I ordered this item to keep at my boyfriends apt. because he never has any sharp knives and I cook alot. I ended up stealing it and taking it home it worked so well. I chop carrots, onions, celery, potatoes, and everything comes out perfect and the same shape. LOVE IT!!!! "thank you for additional blade" For the customer it is a good way to chop the vegetables without any problem, however, if your potato is bigger than average, do not be lazy and cut it in half before chopping. For Manufacturer I would recommend to use metal screws instead of plastic, it increases durability of the product, drives the price up and customer satisfaction will be higher, thus, customer retention rate, that is what you want "LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!" It is the quickest, easiest chopper I've ever had! I like it so much I've ordered it for others! "Best Gadget Ever!" I LOVE this thing, and I don't even like "kitchen gadgets"! I got this as a joke "gag-gift" for my husband who always complained that I cut up the vegetables too big. Now I can't live without it. Satisfies my OCD nature by easily turning out piles of perfectly cut, uniform sized pieces. You would be amazed at the variety of veggies you can shove into an omelette using the smaller dicing blade. Makes your soups and salads look professionally prepared. Easy to clean, too. I plan to get one for all of my girls for Christmas (just so I can have one available when I cook during visits!)Very sturdy. Only tip is to be sure that the chunk of vegetable placed on the grid for cutting does NOT over-lap the edges of the metal grid. Having pieces sticking out beyond the cutting grid suface is what makes it hard to cut. "BETTER THAN WHITE BREAD...." MY WIFE AND I BOUGHT THIS CHOPPER FOR THE SOUL PURPOSE OF MAKING SALSA THIS WEEKEND. MY WIFE CLEANED AND CUT THE ONION, TOMATOES, AND PEPPERS WHILE I RAN THE CHOPPER. SHE COULD NOT KEEP UP WITH ME AND THE RESULTS WERE TERRIFIC. LAST WEEK WE CHOPPED BY HAND AND MADE A SINGLE BATCH IN THE MORE TIME THAN IT TOOK TO MAKE TWO BATCHES THIS WEEKEMND. CLEANUP WAS A SNAP AND I WAS TOTALLY IMPRESSED. I USED THE LARGE CUTTER FOR THE TOMATOES AND THE SMALL CUTTER FOR THE PEPPERS AND ONIONS. THE SECRET TO CHOPPING YOUR ITEMS IS NOT TO USE TOO BIG OF A CHUNK. IT IS SO QUICK, WHAT ARE A FEW EXTRA STROKES WITH THE CHOP WIZARD. WHEN THIS ONE BREAKS, IF IT SHOULD, I WILL BUY ANOTHER FOR OUR KITCHEN.

What our customer's say! "FANTASTIC CHOPPER", I've purchased at least a dozen of these choppers. Nothing else delivers better for the money. Easy to use; easy to clean and a great gift. Amazon provided this product at the lowest price and delivered very quickly. All my experiences with Amazon have been very satisfactory. "Fantastic Chopper", The Videlia Çhopper is wonderful. Thanks to my daughter-in-law for introducing me to it. Get your name out there so more people buy and appreciate. I use it for Gazpacho soup, other soups, chopping onion for frying, for salads. I wrote to a food columnist to alert their readers to this easy easy to chop carrots, peppers. onion. The designer thought of everything--ease in chopping with a whack, ease in cleaning, comes apart for easy cleaning, has the tool for cleaning the small areas. Wonderfully thought through product. "Works well but with some cautionary notes", I admit that this chopper is a bit flimsy because of the plastic. But compared to its steel counterparts, it is much much cheaper. The first few times I used it, I was a bit taken aback by the loud noise it made towards the finishing motion of bringing the chopping mechanism down. I was afraid that the plastic part holding the lid would break as it had for some of the other reviewers. One of the ways I was able to avoid this was to slice whatever I was chopping a bit thinner. I have chopped onions, carrots, celery with no problems. You should not put the whole half onion on it or else it requires too much force and you run into the risk of breaking the chopper. By slicing thinner, I would not recommend anything over 1/2 inch in thickness. By doing this I avoided the large amount of resistance of pushing the lid down towards the end of the motion and hence no loud sound. This also helps to have nicer cubes, anyways. if you are chopping something with different density, then place the object soft side down. It is very quick and is good for someone who doesn't have expert knife skills. It has saved me countless amounts of time in the prep portion of cooking. "favorite new gadget", This is my favorite new cooking gadget. I like to cook with tomatoes but it takes forever to chop them, and the other chopper I have would just crush them. It took maybe 30 seconds to chop a tomato (cut it in half, carve out the inedible part, chop both halves) and I was ready to cook. I already used it again today for lunch. I love this thing!!! "Vidalia Chop Wizard", This makes short work of veggies in the kitchen! An awesome thing to have!! ![]()
Read this reviews before You buy... "Love It!", I can't believe how awesome this tool works. I noticed some of the other reviewers saying it would not cut an onion. It is true it will not cut a whole onion - you have to slice it into first! Then it does take some pressure to close the cover and dice the onion. However, it's much easier than cutting it while crying. I use it to cut green peppers, apples, and other veggies and fruits that have some "body" to them. My salads look so pretty. "GREAT ITEM ++++++++++++++++", I don't understand what all the bad reviews are about. My 73 year old Mother uses hers all the time & she has never had a problem with it. I use mine all the time. You have to cut your veggies to fit the grate. I love this product. I've had mine for several years & it's never broke. If the veggies are old they will not work. They have to be fresh. When I make potato salad I chop all my veggies with it. It's a great product!!!! Don't listen to all the bad reviews! Listen to the 5 star reviews because they are right!!! For the ones that the item broke..I don't know what you were chopping!! As for the cleaning, When I get ready to clean mine, I tap it against the sink & anything that's stuck to the blades comes right out. The little fork the cleans the cover works great. You just scrape it as you run water over it & it cleans right up. NO PROBLEM HERE!!!! "OMG I love it!!!!!!!!!!", my husband likes his veggies for salad chopped and this is awesome its fast and sturdy and easy to clean everything chops nice and even and the cleaning tool is great, this has without a doubt restored my faith in as seen on tv products. way to go chop wizzard!!!!!!!! "Great but don't lose that cleaning tool!", I had a different version of this type of thing and it broke on me - I literally bent the steel grid trying to chop a piece of onion that was too big. The reviews I read about the Vidalia Chop Wizard remind me of what I would have written for that machine - that is - don't really waste your time. But this type of gadget really did speed things up when I had a lot of small chopping to do so I went ahead and bought the vidalia chop wizard, and it is GREAT! The sturdy rubber grips, the huge bottom container, the sturdy construction, etc. It's all true. It's also true that if you're not strong - don't buy one of these things. I am small so usually find myself putting my entire weight on the gadget to get it to chop (but at least this one can handle it.) The reason I didn't give this a 5 star rating, and this is serious, is because if you lose that little finger cleaning tool they provide, the tool is useless. It's almost impossible to clean the thing. If you soak it, the food just absorbs water and expands to fill the slots and you can not get the food out. If you dry it, the food is dried to the inside. Now I've lost that little finger tool and don't see how to buy a replacement. If the tool came with 4 of those things and a repeat order form, I'd buy another one. But with 5 cooks in my kitchen, it's tough to keep track of little things like that. I highly recommend for someone who does a lot of chopping (I do carrots, celery, peppers, mushrooms, apples, onions of course, etc.) is very strong, and who doesn't have anyone else in their kitchen who can lose the cleaner tool. "No more tears!", Vidalia Chop Wizard---I never buy TV gadgets, but my sister-in-law raved about hers. I bought one with the idea that if it just did a good job chopping onions I'd be happy. Well, it does that and more. I'm good with chopping, but even after cutting vegetables in pieces to fit the chopper, it's still faster...and the vegetables are diced so evenly. It even dices walnuts! Food processors usually leave some large chunks along with over-chopped food. The Vidalia chops evenly. Firm pressure is needed, but even with arthritis, I can manage. I am concerned about the plastic hinge breaking, and agree with the others who say they would pay more for a metal box and perhaps reasonably priced replacement blades. ![]() |
