"SAVE YOUR MONEY AND FRUSTRATION!!"
I bought this iron, and it worked less than 5 minutes. I got a rude man at customer service, told me to return iron where I bought it. When I told him I got it online, he said the damage must have been caused by shipping. Warranty does NOT cover shipping damage! Told me I could pay to ship it to San Francisco, they may or may not cover it, might send it back in 6 weeks. When I tried to ask him what would make the light start blinking yellow and ticking loudly, he told me in a rude voice that he was NOT technical support. I e-mailed them, still have not gotten a response after a week. A cheap iron from Walmart would have been a better investment. Would have given 0 stars, but not an option.Oliso steam iron with Auto-Lift System and STAINLESS STEEL Soleplate Model TG-1000

"Oliso Iron"
This iron was everything it was advertised to be but just a month after purchase it no longer heats. I am waiting for a return email from Oliso Customer Service with instructions for warranty service.

"Very Disappointed"
I was very excited about this iron because I've used one in quilting class and I was looking forward to having one of my own. When I received my iron, the Auto Shutoff did not work. I called Oliso and they had me return the iron to them. They promptly replaced it. So, after the delay, I finally got my replacement iron. The iron works great for dry ironing, and I love the auto-lift. However, the steam setting does not work too well. Most of the time the steam won't come out unless I actually press the little steam button. I thought it might be confused with the Auto-lift so I tried it as a regular stand-up iron and it worked a little better, but I didn't buy the iron to use it like a regular iron. I really like the idea of not having to stand the iron up. It also leaks water - quite a bit as a matter of fact. I am very disappointed with this iron and sorry that I spent the money on it. I would not recommend it as a steam iron.

"Oliso Steam Iron"
I've only used the steam iron one time, but it worked satisfactory. I teach quilting and I'm sure we'll get a lot of use out of it.

"Efficient and SAFE"
This iron is incredible! It is heavy enough to iron well, but light enough that it doesn't trouble my gimpy shoulder! Of course, not having to do all the extra exercise of holding it up to rest on its end really helps---just move off the ironing area and let go...it automatically raises and I have even set it on a wood table and it raises and doesn't leave a mark. The stainless soleplate is very smooth and would be easy to clean if necessary---and I prefer stainless over the teflon for environmental reasons as well as had trouble with another teflon iron in the past....

What our customer's say!

"Great Product for those that iron", Touch the handle, and the supporting feet retract and the iron steams. Leave go of the handle, and the iron is automatically lifted of the ironing board and the steam stops. Saves the wrist. Great iron

"This iron is great", I am a college student and I usually cant iron in the most ideal places so in the past I was afraid of my iron falling over but with this iron I don't need to worry about that. I never like to iron before but with is iron it is actually fun to iron bottom line I would recommend this iron to anyone.

"The worst iron I've ever owned", I paid a lot of money for this iron because i liked the stability that the auto-lift would offer. Little did I know that the iron wouldn't stay hot long enough to iron one dress shirt without starting to spit water instead of steam. I have replaced it with a $30 Black & Decker that I should have bought in the first place. Don't waste your money!

"Great Quilting Iron", I couldn't wait to get the Oliso steam iron with Auto-Lift System and STAINLESS STEEL Soleplate Model TG-1000 out of the box. I was in search of this particular iron after having seen it on a quilting show. I like the stainless steel plate, the ease of ironing, great for quilting when pressing those seams sharply without distorting the cotton. It really showed its stuff when I recently made a large quilt which was made with all bias strips. I used startch and this iron and all my seams were the perfect size as I had sewn them. Oliso steam iron with Auto-Lift System and STAINLESS STEEL Soleplate Model TG-1000

"Great Iron", This iron just blew me away! It may sound silly to be in love with an iron but I am with this one. I've never had a steam iron that produced even steam without dripping and spitting on my fabric but this one works like a charm. The stainless steel soleplate glides over the fabric. It's heavy enough to press out wrinkles without additional pressure and the fact that it pop up when you release the handle is just too cool. I have three dogs and I'm always afraid they'll hit the ironing board and cause the iron to fall but this one is very stable. It also came with Amazon's free shipping option. I was reluctant to use it because that usually increases the travel time but I received it withing five days which was a pleasant surprise. If you are looking for a steam iron that lives up to it's billing, I'd recommend this one big time.

"Love my Oliso iron", I quilt and sew a lot so I need an iron that will be there when I need it. I saw it being used on Fons & Porter's quilting show and wanted it because it couldn't be knocked over.

The auto shut-off feature is not the best for quilters because it turns off and isn't there when you need it sporadically, but it hasn't been a big problem for me because the iron heats up fast. I really like this iron. Good steam and gets very hot. I don't have to worry about my cats burning themselves on this if it gets knocked over because they can't knock it over. I like the legs although I was worried about it burning my ironing board when I first got it. That hasn't happened.

It has a nice, long cord that doesn't get tangled up. It's easy to fill it with water. No water spills all over the ironing board when I go to refill it. I really like that feature. The only con I can think of is that the iron has to be set to "off" if you're not going to use it for a while, then turned back to "on" when you need it. Took me a while to figure that out and I had a problem with the legs not retracting after it automatically shut itself off. As long as I turn it off, then back on it works fine. It heats up fast so it's not a big problem.

Not having to set the iron on it's end every time I'm through with it sold me on this iron. That feature is wonderful. The only thing I have to remember is that if I'm ironing at someone else's place, I have to remember to put their iron on it's end. haha I burned my daughter's ironing board!

It's very neat. No more cracked plastic on my iron from it falling over. I recommend this iron.

"OK home iron", Like my old Rowenta better. This is heavier than many irons, the plate does not glide as smoothly at the Rowenta. The auto-lift is really just a nuisance unless you're used to leaving your iron with the heating surface down. E gad!
As a seamstress I don't recommend this iron. As a homemaker who irons clothes, it's OK.

"The Iron", This iron takes a bit of getting used to..I still find myself setting it on end occasionally, but the fact it's not prone to falling off the ironing board as easy and you can never burn anything it worth the time to get used to it. Plus lets hope it won't be leaking water as much as my previous irons, since it won't fall off the board as easily as most irons that set on end.

"Great iron", I do a lot of piecing of scraps for quilts and it has excellent steam and easily handling for this kind of work. The auto-up feature is great.

"Great Iron", Very smooth. Good pressure of steam and I love the automatic riser. The only thing I would change is having an option for the steam to be released automatically, rather than having to press the steam feature.
