"Best Thermos Ever"
This is not the first thermos i've used, but it is the best. It's design is great, fits into most car cup holders. It also allows for one handed operation. Best of all, this thermos delivers on what it promises, it is leak-proof, perfect for being bounced around in a backpack, and it keeps your hot drinks hot, cold drinks cold. But do follow the directions, and dont over fill.

"excellent thermos flask"
I've used Thermos-Nissan insulated mugs and bottles for years. This one is innovative because of its unique flip-top dispenser top---makes getting a sip of ice cold water a snap. (Literally). I was also pleased that among other Nissan products, this one seems to have quite excellent insulative properties. I can't comment upon hot substances, since mine is relegated to cold water, mostly. Recommended! The slender size makes it easy to carry and to hold in one hand. The capacity, I wish, were a little greater, but I knew what I was getting.

"Leakproof if used right, keeps liquids cold well"
As long as you do not fill it beyond the sealing ring it is leakproof.

It keeps liquids cold well, better than other thermos choices I have tried.

It's diameter is small enough to fit in most if not all cupholders.

I like the one hand operation for opening and closing it although after you have taken a drink if you are not careful the flip action will throw droplets.

It is easy to open it one handed without this happening though by moderating the spring action by the way you hold it when triggering it open.

When open, it fits my mouth well for direct drinking.

It's mostly metal construction would appear to make it pretty impervious to incidental damage from minor dropping, etc.

I like it.

"A family favorite, and interestingly, like drinking from a fountain"
So the fundamentals first: the bottle is attractive, with a brownish red glossy exterior. It's easy to drink from for kids and adults alike, which I had not expected of a Thermos bottle for some reason. We used it extensively on a trip and it's easy to drink from, while a car is in rush hour traffic, while walking, while on a bumpy tractor pulled cart. Drinking from it is interesting in a good way - the water comes out maybe a centimeter above the edge of the thermos. The net effect is that the water has a nice texture as it flows into your mouth. Similar to when one drinks water from a fountain, but without the water getting all over the place. A good solid purchase!

"Amazing product---you will not believe how good it is!"
I needed a thermos that was compact enough not to add too much weight and bulk to my bookbag, and that would NOT leak all over my papers while it was in there. This thermos works like a charm! It carries the equivalent of a Starbuck's tall cup of coffee plus a little more, and never ever leaks. It's easy to flip open and drink from, because it has a push-button opening instead of a screw cap.

I did not expect it to insulate all that well. But boy, was I wrong! In fact, I do NOT recommend preheating the thermos with hot water before filling it with coffee---the thermos retains heat so well that your coffee will still be piping hot four hours after you fill it even if you don't preheat it. (The one time I preheated the bottle, it was so hot four hours later that I actually burned myself).

In a world of products that overpromise and underdeliver, the Nissan thermos is something wonderful: a product that quietly and modestly performs so well that it knocks the socks off of any of its competitors.

What our customer's say!

"This is the best thermos ever", I use this thermos every day. It never spills, is easy open and close, is smart looking and just a pleasure to have. Highly recommend it.

"Great for long trips and commuting", Keeps coffee hot all day. Would buy again even though I now have four.

"Extremely well made", The thermos works extremely well. Too many other "insulated" bottles allow heat to escape (or enter) in a fairly short time, this bottle kept the contents cold in high heat for 10 hours. It is also easy to use and the lid is well-designed to avoid leaks and spills. Highly Recommended.

"Thirsty for a thermos", I bought this thermos to replace the plastic water bottles I bring to the gym. I bought it because it received excellent reviews. Although I am overall satisfied with the product, I do have one complaint - you cannot "chug" from this thermos as others have claimed. During a strenous workout, I want cold water and I want it fast. This product releases the beverage rather slowly - thereby making it great for hot beverages.

The product seals tight and has a locking ring. It is great for throwing in your gym bag and not having to worry about it leaking. It keeps my water ice cold, even after 4 hours.

"Awesome thermos for home and day travel...", This Thermos stands above others. I made my tea in the morning and later in the afternoon it was still hot. It's awesome!!!

Read this reviews before You buy...

"okay, this is the real deal", I have been looking for years for this bottle. It is truly leak proof, truly convenient, in that you can drink from it without unscrewing the cap and pouring it into a cup. Good size, though I wish they were still making the 350 ml one (I'm always looking for ways to shave ounces from my pack - biking is my only mode of transport). Retains heat as well as the best, absolutely. I find myself having to cool down my coffee before putting it in, because if it's too hot to sip when it goes in, you won't be able to drink it comfortably for hours. Buy this - you won't regret it. Oh, and I had read that the lid blocks your field of vision: not a problem, really.

"A Good Companion for the Morning Commute", This is a great thermos: easy to open and close, but won't open by accident in your bag. Keeps drinks cold for many hours. My only minor complaint is that there is no max fill line on the inside. If you fill it above that level, some liquid squeezes around the seal and can leak out.

"Thank you thermos", Okay I was expecting quality merchandise because of previous reviews and the fact that it was a thermos but this is ridiculous. When they say your beverage will stay warm they aren't kidding. I put my hot, hot (hotter than I would normally be able to drink it) tea in the thermos at 7:00 am and went to work. At 9:00 I took a sip and almost took the top of my mouth off. I left the lip open to cool it a bit and at 10:00 took another sip. Wow was that hot. I then took the top completely off and left it open. (I know, why didn't I put it in the cup. We are not allowed open cups near our computers. Leaving the lip off was pushing it enough and besides because of the thermos' size I wanted it for a travel mug). I figured with no top on it, it has to cool off. Well it didn't. By 3:00 it was manageable but still hotter than I would like. By the time I got home at 6:00 it was the right temp and that's with the lid off most of the day. I also want to say I drink tea with milk in it and other thermos type containers usually make the milk in the tea taste funny after a while. This did not (if you're a tea drinker you know what I mean). So what I recommend to anyone out there using this thermos. Put your beverage in at the temperature you want. It's not going to cool off on you. Believe me.

"Nissan Thermos", This thermos keeps my coffee warm all day and doesn't leak! The only problem I have with it is that the lid is hard to clean well because of the way it is built. The area under the lid is almost impossible to get to, even with a brush and you can't put it in the dishwasher. Otherwise, it would get 5 stars but I can only give it 4 because of this.

"Not commuter-friendly design", Forgive me for being blunt, but this mug is in no way friendly to drinking your joe on a commute to work. In fact, I can't see it being useful as a "backpack" bottle, unless you're carrying a shot of something really fancy, because it just doesn't hold much of anything. But I digress.

The lid on this thing is ridiculous. It is a hinged pop-top, like what you'd find on a breadmaker, and it's nearly 2 inches thick. I'm a small girl, and I can hardly fit my face into the tiny, deeply recessed drinking trough; my nose bumps against the dang top contraption. If you're sitting on a bus, you have to open and close this thing every time you want a sip, which means flipping the little metal lock off, pushing the button, and spronging the top open. When the top is open, the whole cap of the thing is 5.5 inches across. If you were driving in your car and wanted to sip your coffee, you'd have to pull over, because you cannot see around the breadmaker top. Funny too, it boasts the canister is shaped to fit the average vehicle's cup-holder, but they neglected to mention that it likely would not (or would probably tip itself over) with the top open. Talk about top-heavy.

I would not have bought this mug had there been photos of it with the top open. I'll post some of my own.

-disgruntled.
