"You can get the filters for this, but not from Amazon!!!!"
Don't get the filters that come up on this page. They're for a different size keeper.

I contacted Norpro and they said it is replacement 93F that goes with it.

Do a google search, and a few options come up.

Norpro also suggested: "Also try, Ace Hardware, True Value Hardware, Do It Best Hardware." But you would have to get them to special order it.

"Clear Kitchen Counter Clutter"
This looks so much better than that plastic compost bin we had on the kitchen counter. I only wish it was a little larger so that we wouldn't have to empty it so often. It's easy to keep clean. Just use the biobags as a liner. You just have to pull it out and place in your green bin.

"Ceramic Compost Pot"
This little container works very well. I feel much better saving my food scraps and adding them to my growing compost pile outside. The charcoal filter in the lid keeps the smell out and the fruit flies out. I empty it once a week and I notice the food has already begun to break down. Perfect for a 1 or 2 person apartment.

"Perfect size for a compost keeper!"
This compost keeper looks great on the countertop. It's the perfect size for kitchen scraps. The 'pail' design makes it easy to carry to my main compost bin outside.

"Kitchen composting"
Excellent product that surpassed my expectations. With just the two of us working a lot, not cooking every day and not producing enough scraps to empty daily, I was worried that it might smell or even possibly draw insects, but those were baseless concerns and it measures up to the job because of the filters in the top. I highly recommend this product because now we don't have smelly mixed kitchen garbage, the crock emits no odor and it is easy to keep clean. My outside composter is well-fed from this little gem!

What our customer's say!

"Does the job", Overall, I am happy with the product. It keeps the compost smell out of the kitchen and is nicer to look at than a bowl of scraps. The only negative I have is that I'm afraid I will break it because it is ceramic. Also on the inside bottom edge of the canister there is a rim, so some food always seems to get stuck inside. It looks nice though and is good for the price.

"small, but effective", I haven't used this product yet, because I have been processing lima beans, tomatoes, peaches needing a gallon bucket. I plan to use this smaller container when the August harvest is over, and I'm not making so much compost at a time. The charcoal filter will keep the garbage smells from making my kitchen smell rotten.

"Nice product but if I did it over again - Stainless", I purchased this product after already owning the stainless version for a year. I gave the stainless to someone else because this white ceramic pedestal - looking object seemed to fit with my decor better. But what I've found is, (1) I am for the first time a bit nervous about breaking it or breaking glass tea pots when I shake the loose tea into this container, (2) it is certainly heavier than the stainless when lugging it (the weight is not a deal breaker), and MOST IMPORTANTLY, (3) it does not seem to seal around the edge of the top anywhere as well as its stainless counterpart resulting in fruit flies getting attracted to it and actually inside on a regular basis - something that NEVER happened with the stainless one. So carbon filter helps a lot but the leaky cover undermines the filter.

Still compared to not having either choice and seeing how nicely made this object is, it gets the benefit of just over half credit in my scoring.

I'd go back to stainless in a heartbeat when I feel the moment has come.

"Not bad, not great either", This is a nice little compost bin until you drop it by accident. My husband recently dropped the top of it, and one huge piece broke off along with several small pieces. We have decided to buy a stainless steel bin. Other than that, we have enjoyed using it.

"Don't trust the handle.", This attractive compost pail is very effective at controlling odor and having a convenient receptacle for compost materials in the kitchen makes composting much easier. However the handle cannot be trusted. It will slip off the handle knobs, fall to the floor, shatter into sharp pieces and spill your compost everywhere on your clean kitchen floor. Put up the extra money and buy the stainless steal model.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Attractive, useful, and heavy duty.", This is an attractive item for your countertop composting convenience. It is easy to clean and has the look of professional French cookware. I bought one for my neighbor, and he absolutely LOVES it. If you aren't able to lift a heavier item, however, it may not be ideal for you.

"Little Can", It's a little bit smaller than what I thought and it would have been great if it came in colors other than white. A bit costly for what it is but it's cute.

"Pretty, but breakable. ", So I bought this container about 3 months ago and we thought it was great. I had to get one after I found out that one household composting for a year rather than trashing it is like taking 8 million cars off the road. We loved it, it decreased our trash, looks good on the counter, we can put it in the dishwasher when it gets really nasty, the size is good. But today, after emptying it in my green bin, I was holding it by the handle and it must have come unhooked at the handles because it fell and broke. So I'm back on Amazon and deciding whether to go with the stainless or this one again. It really does look good on the counter and stainless might show fingerprints.

"Great compost keeper", A good size, doesn't retain oder. carbon filter makes it so you don't even know it's there.

"Looks great on the counter", We love how this looks on our counter, and it does a great job of keeping the kitchen scraps nicely contained. The filter at the top really works-- there is NO odor, even after a week or so of collecting vegetable scraps, egg shells, coffee grounds, and the like.

My only complaint is about the handle. If I'm not careful, it will come unhinged from one side as I'm carrying it--which is not something I want to happen on my way outside to the compost pile! I have learned to be very careful when carrying it.
