"Great Kettle"
I would highly recommend this product. The only thing I wish it had is a whistle to let me know that it has reached a boil when I'm in another room. I forgot to look for that feature when I purchased the electric kettle.

"Remanufactured should be different than simply used"
The kettle I recieved had a small dent and I thought, "That's probably okay." Then I noticed the deep scratch, then I noticed all the small surface scratches, and finally I noticed the hard hard water deposits all around the spout.

Being that it has a chrome finish I expected some light surface scratching, but dents, deep scratching, and hard water deposits? This item wasn't remanufactured, it was well used, returned, tested, and then sent back out. Simply put it was a used item placed in a new box and that's not what I ordered.

So if you're okay with a used item, then by all means order one, because I'm sure as beat up as it was, it probably still boiled water.

This purchase was excellent value for the money (less than half the cost of a new kettle) and the only defect was an almost-imperceptible dent on the side of the kettle that in no way influences performance.

"Buying another one!"
I bought the original 4 years ago, have loved it, and am buying the remanufactured one for our vacation home. I expect it (after reading all the other reviews) to perform exactly like my original, which is still performing beautifully. Looks great on the kitchen counter, too--very classy.
