"remanufactured cuisinart coffee grinder"
I bought one these from another vendor and that one literally fell apart, this one I purchased in Oct. runs but does not grind the coffee ,yes I have tried to clean it if I hold with both hands and shake it like mariachies it will grind some coffee beans , I know my money still out there and its still good and I,m left holding the bag of unground coffee beans !

"Good Value Burr Grinder"
This was a good value. The grinder works fine every time. Item comes in a plain white box marked Refurbished so may not be first choice for a gift. Great Deal though at $18

"Used and Dirty"
"Refurbished" in this case means "dirty" and "heavily scratched up". You *might* pay 3 bucks for this at a garage sale.

"Decent Grinder, but upgrading will get you vastly superior results"
I used this grinder for several years before upgrading to the Baratza Maestro Plus (which would be my recommendation if you are looking for a great home grinder). I can say that the Cuisinart is an ok machine, but not one to look to for precise results. A few things to keep in mind... The Cuisinart uses a flat burr rather than conical type burr assembly usually found on higher-end models. Also, most of the grind power of the Cuisinart comes from the speed at which the motor turns the burr. Higher-end grinders typically use higher grade motors to produce a high power grind at lower rotation speeds. This assists in producing a more uniform grind, keeps the coffee from heating up while being ground and to prevents too much static from being generated in the grinding process. Some grinders use a gear reduction method to get this slower, yet powerful grind from a high speed motor (the Baratza is an example). The Cuisinart is definitely a step up from a blade grinder, but for a little more money you can get much better results than it will offer you. Just my 2 cents.

"Quality Grind Every Time"
I bought this grinder from a mega-warehouse store recently and couldn't be happier. It produces a smooth, even grind from super-fine to chunky, which is perfect for those of us who sometimes use percolators. It also features an auto-shutoff so that you can set the number of cups you want and it will automatically shut off once it's ground the proper amount of beans. Honestly, this is so much better than a traditional coffee grinder that you're never going to want to go back.

The only downside to this grinder is that it's *extremely* loud. I'd suggest grinding your morning beans the night before, but if you don't want to you're guaranteed to wake up everyone else in your house.

"Satisfied", This is an excelent product, great apereance excelent working, it cames as new but a very low price 'cause is factory refubrished... It's a great deal. There is nothing like to grind your own coffe beans... If you really enjoy a cup of coffe you know what I mean...

"Grinds coffee", Works pretty well for standard coffee grinding. Noisy, but less annoying than most blade grinders. "Fine" setting is not-so-fine, not good for espresso.

"Good Grind - Short Lifespan", This is my second purchase of this reconditioned Cuisinart grinder. The first one lasted about a year before it stopped working, but still worth the cost. Mine gets a workout on a variety of grind settings and the grind is always excellent. I also like the large bean hopper size.

"I have been more than pleased with the reconditioned items", I have bought here at Amazon. This is the third item and it was boxed and pristine when we received it. It has worked beautifully so far and folks were right, I really needed a burr grinder for my french press. I do notice the difference and it is certainly better than trying to eyeball the correct grind for my press. I have been very pleased with my blade grinder, a Capresso Cool Grind, but this is really better for my french press. The Cuisinart supreme grind burr mill seems well made, sturdy. It is a breeze to use and the grinds have been uniform and perfect for both the drip pot and the french press. Another plus is it's size. I would have to do two batches sometimes three for a full 12 cup drip pot when using my blade grinder. Now I can grind enough for a strong 12 cup brew in less time than grinding one batch with my blade grinder. I am very satisfied with this purchase, and as always Amazon's packing was excellent and shipping was fast.

"Better than a blade grinder", Pros: cheap, large capacity, adjustable grind, stainless looks nice

Cons: some "fine coffee dust" buildup, loud

I couldn't tell that it was remanufactured, it looked new.

First use, I dumped about a cup of beans in the machine (after cleaning and drying the grinder of course) and adjusted the grind to medium. Pushed the button, and a very loud grinder started. A minute or so later, there were still beans left, but the machine stopped. Pushed the button again. Eventually there were only about 3 beans bouncing around in the bottom of the grinder. I took the catch tray out and found a bunch of caked up powdered coffee that was ground to "super fine" consistancy built-up around the top of the grinder. This was unusable, but only represented about 1 teaspoon of coffee. It fell in with the rest of my grounds and when I make coffee, it 'disolves' into the water, making the coffee taste bad near the bottom of the pot/ cup. I just dump it out or drink it anyways, but I see how that could bother people...

Overall, it's a good grinder, and a lot better than a blade grinder, and if you watch the prices, you can get it for the same price as a blade grinder (Friday sales). Recommended for not-so-picky coffee drinkers (those who can tell the difference between fresh ground beans and folgers), but not recommended to picky drinkers (those who can tell you the time and weather conditions of when the coffee was ground based upon the taste).

"It works", I have had my unit a few days now. It is really is no better at grinding coffee than a cheaper style that beats the beans with a blade like a blender's. One thing I do like about it - it grinds just the right amount beans to
make six cups of coffee (I have not adjusted the number of cups needed yet) This is a big plus as I dont have
to fiddle with measuring beans in the early morning!
