Others say...

"The first time I heard it in the store, I liked it!"
I like the way it felt in my hand. It looks clean and sleek. It has such an inviting sound and quite a conversation piece! I also like the easy flip cap over the spout for dispensing water. Now, I want to get one!

"not worth the $$"
I bought this kettle last year and I'm yet to find it worth the money I paid for it. I've never owned a tea kettle before, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I find that the handle is awkward (it blocks the stream of water when you pour into it ) and the "harmonica" whistle sounds more like my fire alarm. Other than that, I guess it does its job of boiling water. But so do other cheaper tea kettles.

"Crazy for Chantal!"
The Chantal 2 1/2-quart teakettle is not only aesthetically pleasing but is also energy efficient because it heats water to the boiling point in a short period of time. I bought a Chantal teakettle when it first came on the market, and I have used it on a Jenn-aire ceramic stovetop, a gas burner range, and an electric range--all with good results for heating water quickly. However, I have had to ask Chantal to replace my teakettle twice because of rust on the inside near the lid. Also the lid would become stuck in place and impossible to remove, so I would fill it with water through the pouring spout. The charming two-tone Hohner "harmonica" top of the spout has stopped playing on the one I have now. I think the reason for the problems with the Chantal teakettle have everything to do with the hardness of one's water. Yet, I love this teakettle so much that I will replace it myself if I must.

"Very, very happy with my Chantal 2-1/2 qt. Tea Kettle"
I have had my Chantal Teakettle for approximately 14 years (it is blue, however, instead of red). It has performed perfectly and still looks as new as the day it was purchased and given a home. Unlike other tea kettles I have owned, it has remained not only as beautiful but as strong as when it was new. Others I have had, have deteriorated in a short amount of time. I truly think this one will last a lifetime. I highly recommend it and how easy to be able to order it here.

What our customer's say!

"Iconic teapot", The Chantal Enamel-on-Steel teapot is a beautifully designed and "harmonious" addition to your kitchen. I just purchased my second for personal use, the first having lasted over 20 years and have made sure my children have one too. It is solid and well built kettle and the Hohner harmonica whistle makes it a lot of fun. The addition of the hotpad that fits over the curved handle is a great idea. That handle gets very hot.

"Great Teakettle", This is the best teakettle as far as performance and looks it is far superior then most others. Be careful of the enamel finish; it can chip if dropped and always use the handle holder. I just love this product!

"Ouch!", Handle really does get unbelievably hot! And who wants to fuss with that silly potholder all the time (now included and none too attractive). Plus, the whistle sounds like an air raid, or something equally ominous. So not worth a hundred clams. This baby's going back.

"teakettle", Great kettle,,looks great and is the nicest kettle I have ever owned. I really like the look and the whistle sound is cool.

"Worth The Money!", I have had my Chantal Tea Kettle for over 10 years...and love it! Yes it is a little expensive, however consider how long you will have this piece of equipment! As for the handle getting in the way, when you purchased the kettle it does come with instructions (I know, a tea kettle with instructions?) and it does say in the instruction to fill from the spout opposed to the lid. There is a seal on the lid which helps produce the beautiful (at least I think it is beautiful) harmonic whistle. When you constantly use this top to fill the kettle, you will wear out the seal and have to replace it. I am not a corporate plant writing great reviews about their product, I just happen to love my kettle and wanted to share my two sense!
