Others say...

"a little large"
I am sure this is a exceptional product. However, I should have measured my cooktop before ordering the grill. It is just too big.

"Do not buy this Product"
Has no Company Logo on Grill and paper placed w/Company name in side package. I have other product made by Calphalon and all have Company Logo on prodcut. I think this product is no good & chip. Not worth $15.00

"Deceiving advertising"
The marketing for this pan is deceiving. I thought it was from Caphalon when I ordered it from Amazon. When I got the box it was shipped in a gigantic box with no Caphalon logo engraved on the handle nor the bottom of the pan. I am very disappointed. Now I am going to have to return this darn thing which will waste time and money.

"Grill"
I don't know which was better the burgers or this pans performance. I used this with a ceramic sove top and it did not bend or warp during heat up. I even removed the pan from the stove as the grease and juices from the burgers started to fill the pan, and dumped in a disposal, the pan still retained the heat.
Also the burgers I used were frozen and I had no problems with the meat sticking to the pan.
I lightly brushed the non stick surface with EVOO prior to using and clean up was a snap.
I would highly recommend this pan, and also give as a gift.

"Better than other grill pans I've used, but not Calphalon quality"
I was very surprised that Calphalon put this pan out. There are not Calphalon markings on the pan or box, and there is not a steel bottom. Because there is not a steel bottom this pan will warp slightly under high heat. However, I own 2 other grill pans, both of which warp with heat due to the missing steel bottom. The pan is extremely large, much larger than I had expected. The hard-anodized surface is only mediocre quality. I've certainly used better, especially the pans put out by Anolon. Overall, I would recommend paying a lot more for a better quality pan, you'll probably be happier in the long run. However, since I only paid $15 for this, I can't complain too much.

What our customer's say!

"Calphalon Always Quality", I love Calphalon products. I already had the square nonstick grill pan and bought this to keep at another house for breakfast bacon making. Keeps bacon nice and non-curled, easy to clean-up, can even take a fair amount of oven heat.

"Great for Meat and Fish", This is the best Pan Grill I have ever used to day. Highly recommend. Steak, chops, fish come out amazing. Even heat distribution, heats up very quickly!

"Great", Heats up, cooks food, puts lines on food, easy to clean- what more could you want?

"Great pan", This pan is wonderful! Great price. I use this pan as often as I can. Burgers, steak, chicken, and what ever else I can grill. Clean up is quick and easy.

"Large surface - doesn't tip or lift while cooking!", All my cookware is Calphalon and this is a great addition for anyone. I like the grill lines on the steaks and this is great for indoor grilling. It also catches any fat at the bottom for easy draining. It's non-stick so it has easy cleanup. Great large size can cook up to 4 medium-large size steaks. Good purchase decision and good price. Fast shipping too!

Read this reviews before You buy...

"too big", i found the pan to big.(it takes 2 burners of my stove) the best part is nonstick and not too heavy. i like it

"Great product", This product is great. I was going to get a George Foreman grill but didnt want to have to deal with the messy cleanup. The Calphalon Grill is easy to use and easy to clean.

"Pan is Thin. Comes in Unmarked Box & bizarrely shipped", I wanted this pan to replace my well-worn Circulon grill pan.
But this is disappointing. The pan is thin and light (compared to other Calphalon pans ... and to Circulon ones, too). It does not conduct heat as well as my Circulon pan (so it doesn't cook food well). And it warps under heat.

The pan came in an unmarked, white box: not like other Calphalon plans are sold. Nor is it engraved or marked Calphalon. I think it is a grey-market product and not geniune Calphalon. B/c Calphalon comes in a box marked "Calphalon" and is engraved Calphalon on the handle and/or pan bottom. Calphalon is also better quality.

The shipping was also bizarre. It came in a HUGE box. 15% of the box contained this product: the balance was empty. It is very wasteful shipping.

I returned the pan (in a box 1/3 the size). Not recommended.

"Meatballs", My family loves meatballs. When I cook them, however, the meatballs have this bad habit of sticking to the bottom of the pan and tearing off the nice, crispy browned portion. This pan does a great job solving that problem.

First of all because of the wavy bottom very little surface area of the meatball actually touches the pan. The meatballs don't stick. When you roll the meatballs around to cook different sides the wavy bottom holds them nicely in position to cook all sides evenly. Plus the grease has a place to go so the meatballs don't soak in it.

I really don't think this is equal to a top of the line Calphalon pan. The build quality is not up there with their better pans. But for this price it really is quite a nice pan and works beautifully for meatballs and other foods that require grill marks.

"Not Usual Calphalon Quality", Quite a bit thinner than the rest of my Calphalon. Came in a plain white box, with the name Calphalon nowhere on the box or the item. If I saw it in the Dollar Store, I'd think it was just a piece of junk. I checked it out on the Calphalon website, though, and it's apparently theirs.
UPDATE: 1/4/08: Well, I have to admit it makes nice grill marks, which is the point, after all. Maybe an extra 1/2 star.
