Others say...

"calphalon pan"
Was given as a Christmas present to my brother-in-law and he just loves it. Thanks for making my purchase easy and successful.

"Great Pan"
I bought this for my husband for Christmas and he has used it several times and not had anything bad to say about it not being a good buy. He has requested more of the cookware and utensils for future use.

"Calphalon 5qt saute w\ cover"
WE BOUGHT THIS AS A GIFT FOR MY MOTHER-IN-LAW FOR CHRISTMAS. SHE LOVES IT. IT IS A VERY HEAVY SKILLET. SHE LOVED THE HELPER HANDLE, AND THE DEPTH OF THE PAN ITSELF. WELL WORTH THE MONEY.

"anothe piece of Calphalon for my collection"
I just used this skillet for the first time. It is fabulous. Just like all my other Calphalon cookware, it evenly dispersed the heat. The lid fits perfectly and clean up was a breeze.
A great addition to my kitchen!

"Great pan for stews and frying"
This is now one of our most used pans. It is deep enough to cook stews and shallow enough to fry pancakes or eggs. The non-stick seems pretty solid. Very good heat distribution.

What our customer's say!

"Disappointing at best!!!!!!", I bought this thinking I would get a quality piece that would serve me well.
HA! Less than a year later the base had warped for some reason despite my taking care not to abuse it.
About a year into it, the "nonstick" feature started to fail. I babied this pan and got nothing in return.
I sincerely doubt I will buy Calphalon ever again.
Save your money. Don't bother.

"Great pan!", What a great pan! I bought it to replace the skillet that came with my set and I'm so glad I spent the money. This thing is versatile. I can make stir frys, omelets, grilled cheese, and I've even made a casserole on the cooktop with it. The very best thing is that it cleans up very easily. I am now working on replacing all of my cookware with Calphalon products.

"12 inch covered skillet", Pan works ok, very large and heat does not conduct well. Lid is awkward, handle sticks up too high to stack. Overall not a bad pan for the money.

"Great pan!", Wish i had found this pan years ago! It's extremely versatile, not too heavy to lift with one hand if necessary, and cleans so easily! Love the glass lid, and it is also ovensafe to 375 degrees. For this price, you just can't go wrong.

"Not a bad pan - and quite good, for the price", After reading others' reviews, I decided this was the saute pan I wanted to try. The price was hard to pass up. After using it for a while, I am quite happy with it, but I do wish it had a heavier/thicker bottom. On my smooth-top cooktop, it can "wobble" a little when I use it, and not lay completely flat - but not nearly as badly as some other cookware I've used. Overall, I'm quite glad I got it.

"Fabuloso", Husband wanted this so he could go stove top to oven. Loves it!! Really wants another one.

"Calphalon 5 Quart Saute", This is an excellent pan for browning foods and then going straight into the oven. Big enough for just about any application. It is a favorite in my kitchen.

"Too large for burner", The pan and lid look very nice, however, its circumference is so large I was afraid it would not heat evenly on my burners. Perhaps since I have a smooth top electric stove, that is the issue. It would probably be perfect if I had larger burners. I returned it for that reason

"Pan--great, lid--not so much", The pan itself is great, nice flat bottom. I'm not happy with the lid, however, because the handle for the lid is very tall. I invert my lids into pots when storing so I can stack the pots without any scratching concerns. Because the handle on the lid is overly tall, it hits the bottom of the pot, so it's not flush against the pot and unstable. This is only an issue when the lid is inverted, it fits fine during normal use. There is no reason for the handle to be so tall, it's just a design feature. Even 1/4" less would have been enough. It's tough to dedicate that much horizontal storage space to one pan, which why it gets only 3 stars.

"Love this pan!", This pan is fantastic, it's deep and large, and the nonstick surface is great. The glass lid also lets you check your food without lifting the lid. The pan is heavy, but the small handle lets you lift it easily. Great for frying, stewing, and braising. Catch it for $24.99 on the Friday sale.
