"Pokemon Rules"
I love this game. You get to battle a ton of pokemon and fill your pokedex. The hardest part was beating the snowpoint gym leader. This game has kept me busy for over a 1 month and I have not even beat all the gym leaders. I recommend buying the guide book to help you navigate through the Sinnoh region. I think this game is good for ages 4 to 10.

"pokemon rocks"
This game is super fun for pokemon fans. I think you should buy it so you can see how much fun the battles are. You are able to battle lots of pokemon. I think anyone 5 and older would love this game.

"too logn shipping"
Pruchase was ok but the shipping was all of ten days they used USPS book rate I would say need to ship by priority shipping just a couple of dollars more then 2.50 they paid.. Carl

"5 stars!"
This game is so fun! It's not too challenging but it's not too easy either. There are tons of things to discover. Cheats are nice for this game but they are not absolutely necessary. You can get all kinds of things in this game and catch all different kinds of Pokemon and it's not hard to fill up your Pokedex.

"Guilty Pleasure"
Boy oh boy, back to this series again eh? Now as you may or may not have guessed the last few installments in the Pokemon series have been nothing but attempts to cash in on the craze. Now with this being the first Pokemon on their new system, Nintendo knew they had to make a good one again. This is by far the most colorful and easy on the eyes of the series. The sound still hasn't been improved since the original Blue/Red versions unfortunately. The amount of Pokemon to collect in this version is ridiculous. I had a hard time even finding my old favorites from the early games in the series. The story line is very long and should keep you entertained for a good amount of time. There are a lot of little details they put into this version that don't really matter but its adding to the game I guess. I'd say this is a good step forward in the series and I hope they continue this way.

Why I buy this one ?
- Worldwide battles and trading using WiFi.
- Real-time clock feature changes the time of day based on the DS clock. The Pokemon you can catch vary based on the region and the time of day. Also, certain Pokemon moves' power changes based on time.
- More elaborate Pokemon Contests. Players can use the accessories and dress up their Pokemon. Players make "Poffin" out of Berries to rasie their Pokemon's contest stats.
- New dual-type Pokemon, new/altered moves, and new special abilities add to the already deep strategy of Pokemon battling.
- 3-D enviornments and updated graphics.

It's better to buy this one too...

What our customer's say!

"Back to basics in a big way...", This game has all of the fun of the original Pokemon Red and Blue, while adding some of the features that worked in the last few games, and taking out some of the things that didn't. At other times things have been simplified, or made better through the use of the Pokeatch in game.

If you like pokemon at all, get this game.

"months worth of fun!", I got this game a year ago. While it only took me about a week to beat the Elite Four and become the champion of Sinnoh, I continued to play the game for months afterward.

A high school senior at the time, I played my cartridge of Pokemon Pearl for (according to the game log) almost 400 hours. There's a TON to do in this game and it kept me busy and interested for all the 380+ hours I spent playing it.

There are many, many different aspects to this game. As your ambitious pokemon trainer travels and trains their pokemon to be strong, they also meet and battle new and different trainers whose pokemon get stronger and harder to battle. All while challenging gym leaders, participating in super contests and thwarting the evil plans of Team Galactic.

The game play seldom gets stale and there's always more pokemon to find and capture. One of the most rewarding aspects of the game is filling up your pokedex with all the species of pokemon you've caught.

Pokemon games were fun for me when I started to play them when I was 8 and they're still fun for me at 18.

"Father-Daughter bond", I bought my daughter the nintendo ds lite with the pokemon diamond version, unfortunately, not to many people in our country share the pasion for potable video games, so i bought a nintendo ds lite and pokemon pearl for me, now we sare at least 2 hours a day of game play, and she has never been so happy. I recommend parents to do the same, let your child take you to their world and learn about pokemon, you wont regret it.

"Best Pokemon Game Ever!", Now, I know what you will be thinking, I am thinking like Hannah Montana is better than Even Stevens, Kim Possible, and Rugrats. And that I don't understand "traditional" games like Ocarina of Time and Pokemon Red. I'm 18, I was in that generation. However, I can't help but say that this game is truly amazing.

The graphics are amazingly intense. I couldn't think you could make a better game than Pokemon Red/Blue/Gold/Silver. However the additional features, including the Global Trading, are what makes this game amazing! I like the Team Galactic story doesn't focus on Team Rocket or anything too unoriginal.

Then when I'm done, I can go to the other games, with the same DS with the GBA Slot, and expand on my 450 pokemon national dex. There was also the extra features after you beat the game to continue the story and then get even more legendary pokemon, that was amazing.

Overall, I hate to say it, but this game is the best generation game. 5 out of 5.

"zz", Please be careful with this seller. My credit account was charged the day I put the order in. Now it has already been a month and my game have never come.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Pokemon Pearl Is Great!", Well, I don't own Pokemon Pearl. But don't avoid this review! I've played it before at my friend's house. It is fun! Catch Pokemon and train them. In order to beat the game you beat the Elite Four.
Fun: 5 out of 5. It is fun! Battle trainers to get badges!
Graphics: Er um... 3 out of 5. Don't get me wrong! The game's great but the graphics aren't great... But, hey when you battle the Pokemon are somewhat 3D!

If you liked Pearl or Pokemon try Diamond or the good old GBA versions.

"Lives up to most of the hype", For starters, this game is definitely worth buying, there is no doubt about that. However, I can't help but compare it to Pokemon Emerald because that was my first Pokemon game, and because of that I am only giving it 4 stars (not that that's bad). I also haven't FULLY beaten this game in the sense that I'm sure there are extra things to do after you've defeated the elite 4 (which i just did). So I guess I've completed the storyline aspect of it, but there are some extra things I need to experience.

PROS:
* I really loved the new set of Pokemon due to it's variety. There were plenty of "cute" Pokemon, as well as "cool" ones and "tough" ones, etc. They also had some of the old classics that most of us love to see again.
* The graphics were amazing and I honestly can't think of a way to improve them. It most certainly put the old games to shame in this regard.
* Wireless connection. omg... I despise cords with a passion and being able to just jump into the union room and having all my friends appear in there made my life SO much easier.
* Had a lot of new features that were very fun and creative. Like creating poffins for example. I found this to be much more enjoyable then Pokeblocks from the Sapphire / Ruby set. I also really enjoyed the underground area where you can make a secret base and find / plant spheres.
* Aside from the Ice Gym, the little puzzles you had to complete before you could fight the actual Leader were all very fun, and at the perfect difficulty level. They weren't hard but they weren't outright easy either. They were set up so that you could complete it in a few minutes without much stress, and I feel that's the way it should be.

CONS:
* Not enough fire Pokemon! It just seem very ridiculous to me that unless you pick the fire starting Pokemon (Chimchar), the ONLY fire Pokemon you can get is Ponyta. Now, there may be more fire options after you've defeated the elite 4 that I don't know of, but if this is the case then it just seems a bit stupid to have all your fire Pokemon open up after you've completed most of the game.
* Although the underground is very fun, I found it a bit annoying that your secret base starts out filled with rocks and you have to spend a bunch of unwanted time getting flags to destroy them.
* Overall storyline. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it was bad. It just didn't compare in the slightest to the storyline from Emerald. Team Galactic, though a cool team in itself, didn't have the kind of personality I felt from team Magma and Aqua. I really liked that in a sense, they weren't completely bad guys. They just had a skewed idea on what would help the planet, and realized their mistake in the end. The Galactic leader however was just a very cliche bad guy overall, and honestly a bit boring. Also, all the issues that were presented to me were easily overcome and never seemed to stay very serious. So I was pretty disappointed in this aspect.
* The game just seemed to be really short. I played Emerald non stop for months and am STILL playing it, and after only a few weeks I'm pretty much done with Pearl.
* Once you beat a random trainer on the road, that's pretty much it. You CAN re-fight them, but you have to take like 1,000 steps or some crap before you can fight only ONE over again. That is just REALLY lame and far more trouble then it should be.

OVERALL REVIEW:
This game was very enjoyable and I am really glad I bought it. It was well worth the money! However, because of my natural inclination to compare newer versions of a game with the older ones, this game was not as enjoyable as it could have been. There were many things that I loved from Emerald that Pearl was lacking, and it disappointed me greatly. Although there were also many new features that were quite fun, I didn't feel they completely made up for the losses. So because of that, I give this game 4 stars.

"best game ever", Its a great game that is so fun i won almost the whole game so buy pearl instead of dimond cause the legendary in pearl is so much stronger and better than the one in dimond so get this ds game and have as much fun as i did and yeah i almost forgot if i were you i would pick the leaf pokemon i know at the beginig it is not good but later on it will be the most powerful pokemon and will be unstopable so please take this fantastic advice and please do so to win the game ok!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"It is okay...", Its a great game really, but inorder to acully win, you must buy an Action Replay to catch the legendaries like Shaymin, Darakri, or Arcues. I did like it, but having to buy a thirty dollar prduct for a game with not even a majority of the pokemon in it was not to my likeing.

"A teen's review: for shame pokemon, surely we can do better...", I've played Pokemon since the games first appeared in America starting out with the old school, but still awesome, red version. And since then I have played most games, or at least one version of that generation of Pokemon. I've loved every single one, and have never gotten bored with them.
And naive as I was I thought, perhaps, this game would be just as enjoyable as the others. I was mistaken.
Though it did bring back memories of the older games, it lacked in many areas. I was most vexed when it came to the Pokemon themselves. They were either horribly grotesque, new models of the older species or one's that appeared as though a three year old had conceived them. There were a few cute or interesting one's spread through out, but they were very few in number.
But there's more. It almost seemed like the game was more focused on all the new things you can do and the spiffy new gadgets. Trading with people across the world, Pokemon contests (which I will note has been altered since the last game, and now features dancing as part of the rotuine. Why yes, yes I did say dancing as absurd as it sounds.), you can now go underground where you can not only build a secret base, but also dig for evolutions stones, jewels and fossils (it's rather annoying if you ask me, having to find the evolution stones. There's no other way to do it unless you've beat the game and can get them from your other game boy advanced games.)
I'm sorry, but what happened to the old game where all you worried about was raising you Pokemon and beating both the gym leaders and elite four?
However, I will admit that the game did have some pluses. The gyms were more than just running in a beating the gym leader and some of his lackeys. They were puzzles that in some cases you had to think about. I've seen some reviewers stating that they disliked the new feature. However I did not. Also, I like the fact that you're not limited to which Pokemon you can get because you chose one game over another. Being able to trade worldwide is quite handy. As is being able to battle people around the globe once you defeat the elite four.
And so I give this game a solid three. It was o.k. But seriously, the creators of Pokemon could have done so much better.
