Others say...
"How cool is this?" I stumbled across this pan while shopping Amazon for something else. It caught my eye immediately! Edge pieces are the best! I have only made one batch of brownies in it so far, and I think I need to experiment with the cooking time some more. All of my friends are excited to try these. Thank you to whoever invented this pan. "Incredible!!!" I was a little skeptical about this pan. But WOW!!!! I can't believe how GREAT it is. I tell everyone about it. It's easy to clean, easy to get brownies out of. It even comes with this tine Teflon spatula (so it wont scratch the pan) the same size of pan to get the brownies out with. My brownies never came out so good. It's a great gift. All I can say is you got to Buy it!!! "What a great product" What a great product. This thing is built like a tank. The description says "heavy gauge aluminum" and they mean it. This is not a flimsy piece of bakeware. Very nice look, no sharp edges, and it works as advertised. I've baked brownies and blondies in it. In addition to have at least 2 edges on every piece, I like the fact that you can basically cut a piece of as big or small as you like. The pan comes with a small plastic spatula that's sized perfectly this shape. I had read an earlier review saying that it was kind of a pain to get the batter into this pan. I was a bit leery when I read that, but decided to try it anyways. It does take a little extra time to pour the batter in, we're talking about maybe an extra minute. Using a spatula, it's really not that difficult. It's a fair tradeoff if you really like edges. "Love this pan!" We bought this pan on a whim and are absolutely thrilled with the results! We have used it more times than we would like to admit and have shared it with family and friends...(we even convinced others to buy it with our free "samples") The biggest (and only) problem we have had with the pan is always wanting to make more brownies! Great idea, very well made, and makes perfect brownies! "I love this pan!" This is the best invention ever! I only eat edge brownies. My husband then has to eat the inside brownies. He loves the edges, too, but he's sweet and lets me have them. This pan allows him to eat the edges, too. The little spatula that comes with it works perfectly. The non-stick surface just takes a little Pam before pouring in the batter, then it cleans out easily and completely. We love it!

What our customer's say! "Overseas Transaction", I bought this pan after reading a recommendation for it on someone's blog. I don't regret making this purchase, even though it took a little more organisation from England. I only regret not buying two pans. The brownies come up beautifully. I can highly recommend the marbled brownies (brownie with cheesecake topping) that come as one of the suggested recipes in the packaging. "yummo", AWESOME PAN!!!! If you love brownie edges then you'll love this pan because that's all you get are edges. May seem a little pricey but well worth the investment because you'll have it forever. "Happy brownie eater", Very happy! Non stick, perfect edges, evenly baked... Need i say more? "Awesome!", I bought this pan for my mom's birthday this year because she likes the crunchy corners. She was so excited when she got this pan! There are definitely more crunchy pieces but there are also plenty of softer pieces for those of us that like the not-so-crunchy edges. The little spatula that comes with the pan works wonderfully and the brownies don't stick at all. I even caught my mom pouring muffin mix in the pan and making muffin bars. This is a great pan!! "Amazing Pan", I am very pleased with the product. It is a very heavy duty cast aluminum, bakes like a dream, and is very easy to clean. If you like the edge pieces on brownies, this is the pan you want to bake in. ![]()
Read this reviews before You buy... "Wonderful Product! I Wish I'd Bought it Sooner!", For those that don't care for the gooey brownies, or any type of bar cookie, this pan is for you! Querying my sister, she told me that the brownies usually get thrown out in her house, because they eat the first edge, then end up with nothing but brownies that are gooey from the center of the pan. It comes with a plastic spatula, and each brownie has at least two edges! I've even baked brownies which would normally fit in a 8-inch square pan, but putting in an aluminum foil wedge to make the pan "smaller." Not only do you get more edges on each brownie, the unique construction of the pan makes it easier to serve. The nonstick coating probably helps with serving. For those that say they already have a brownie pan, all I can say is that I took so long to purchase the pan, because I also had a pan that would work for baking brownies. It may have been an 8-inch square or a 9 x 13-inch pan, but it wasn't a brownie pan. I worried about cleaning the pan, but it's really not a problem. I simply soak it in soapy water, then wipe it clean. I liked it so much, I purchased another for my sister. And I'll consider it for a wedding gift too! "Very hard to tell if batter is evenly leveled and hard to put batter in pan", I read lots and lots of reviews before buying this pan (including many websites other than Amazon.com). For the price of this pan, I wanted to be sure it was something I was going to like before ordering. I have only tried it twice -- the 1st time with a Betty Crocker Traditional/Original Brownie mix and the 2nd time using a Betty Crocker Chocolate Chunk Brownie mix. The first time, I found it a little difficult to pour the batter into the channels of the pan without getting it onto other parts of the pan. The batter was thin enough that I thought I would be able to shake the pan and get it leveled out. I eyeballed it and, very carefully (so as not to get batter up the sides of the pan), moved some of the thicker areas of batter into the thinner areas. Although I thought I had it level, as it was baking and rising, I could see that I did not. When testing for doneness, I chose to bake long enough to get the thickest section done, with the end result being that the thinner sections were too dry. Even my husband, who thinks anything chocolate can't be bad, thought they were too dry. I removed them from the oven 2 minutes before the minimum baking time (per directions on brownie mix box). The mix I used the 2nd time was far thicker than the Traditional mix, so everything that I found "a little difficult" before was 3 times more difficult. I worked and worked at getting it spread into all the channels, determined to get the batter level this time. I checked for doneness 6 minutes before the minimum recommended baking time, but they were not done until the exact minimum baking time (per box directions). This time they were not dry, but the thicker sections were too gooey and underdone for my taste. After reading all the good reviews and ordering it, I had planned on buying 2 more later to give as gifts to my daughter and my daughter-in-law. Now that I have used the pan a couple times and am finding it difficult to level the batter, I have decided not to. I don't really want to give a gift that requires warning the recipients of the problems they are likely to have with it. Right now, I DO think this pan bakes more evenly than traditional 8 x 8 or 9 x 9 pans (I never use 13 x 9 pans for brownies), but spreading the batter evenly IS a pain. I don't understand why none of the other reviews mention the problem of getting the batter even. I WILL say the quality/construction/material of this pan is excellent. I didn't grease the pan or use any cooking spray the 2nd time I used it, and the brownies still came out of the pan very easily--more easily than the other (greased) pans/baking dishes I used to use. Also, you would think this pan might be hard to wash with all the channels, but not so. It only takes about 15 seconds (no pre-soaking necessary) and it's completely clean. "WOW", This has to be the greatest invention for baking. Not only did this pan allow me to have an entire batch of my favorite brownies, but I took my first batch to work and the brownies flew out of the pan. Everyone thought the pan was the greatest idea. "HOT PAN! Brownies may seem underbaked but are done!", This Bakers Edge brownie (or bars) pan is a heavy duty nonstick wonder, but it needs far LESS time to bake than other pans! Using the "metal pan" directions on the box, bake 1/3 less time - they'e probably done! This pan overbakes easily. For instance the Ghirardelli brownie box says 45 min (at 325) for metal pans, and 30 minutes was plenty! Remember: "fresh baked brownies appear underbaked but cool to doneness." Wash this pan by hand - is not dishwasher safe - and use no metal utensils, then it'll stay good as new. PS: best brownie cookbook Amazon carries is "Brownie Points: " by Lisa Slater. Combined, pan & book make a great gift! "GREAT EDGES~DIFFICULT TO FILL", This pan produced excellent edge pieces as expected. The narrow channels are difficult to fill with batter without some of the batter ending up where you don't want it. Cooking time is difficult to predict because it might not be the same time you use for your old pan. For example: Directions on boxes of brownies do not have cooking time for this pan. You will definitely have to use the toothpick test. I recommend taking notes of your baking times the first time you make each of your recipes. I found that brownies took 2-4 minutes longer in this pan than they would in a normal pan with the same dimensions. This pan is well made and easy to clean. Overall I do recommend this pan for edge lovers. The negatives do not out weigh the positives. I think I will make some Brownies right now! ![]() |
