"Excellent Brand Name Product at a Great Price", Greetings,

At the usual great price point of Amazon.com, this brand name lock box is everything it is purported to be!

In order to limit access, I utilized the Honeywell Digital Locking Steel Box, in a commercial establishment, to house a volume control, an audio input selector, an audio input jack, as well as an MP-3 player.
I drilled the back of the unit, mounted it on a wall, and ducted wiring from a remote audio system rack, into the interior.

It is versatile! .....Use your imagination!
When I received the shipment, I told my wife, the "Cookie Monster", that it was a goodie box for our home! She wasn't too amused.

It is easy to program the unlocking code.

"Great for locking up stuff", My wife is an ex-drug user so we use this to keep pills in. The keys stay hidden, and the five digit combination is more than sufficient. I don't know what anybody else wants locked up, but the great thing about this safe is that you can leave it in plain sight and easily access it without having to dig up a key. Performance of the keypad is flawless, and the led fades when the battery runs low and needs replacing. This indication is especially useful because we use the safe every day

"The Portable Safe!", Jeff Foxworthy used to tell a joke about his wife buying him a portable safe. He said that it was a great innovation which allowed thieves to break into your safe at their leisure from the comfort and security of their den. He should have used a picture of this product.

This unit is sturdy enough to avoid cursory break-ins. But it is so small and light, anyone can just steal the box with your valuables in it. There is no cable lock to secure it to something larger or heavier (like a desk or bed). The handle is flimsy, so there is no way to add one without drilling holes. If you buy this, you are only buying the illusion of security.

"Great way to secure your stuff", This product is very strong and easy to use. I wouldn't look to it to be a very high-temp firebox but for light duty in a dorm room or around snooping roomates or others it should be great.

"Amazingly convenient", We use this safe to keep pills away from the children. It is amazingly convenient, although I had a difficult time setting the combination because I did not realize you had to enter it twice to set it. D'oh! Well worth the money. There are keys that bypass the combination if you forget the combination or the battery runs out.

"Bulky, Weak metal , and Electronic lock doesn't work", I got this safe for my truck. I wanted it to be a bit smaller, but it is what it is.

So it sits in the back seat on the floor. After being in there 2 weeks, the electronic lock function no longer works - I have to carry the key all the time. I reset the lock code, and it accepts the code, but it won't let the lock turn anyhow.


It also seems to me the lock or the lid are mighty thin. Overall a huge disappointment.

On the plus side, it does hold a lot of stuff.

"Safe with keypad", This little safe is perfect for storing medicines! No key needed, just a self-programmed code (like an ATM code). When batteries weaken or die, use key to bypass the code, change the batteries, no need to re-program code. Works very well.

"Great solution for a nosey roommate! ", I bought this freshmen year in college after some dorms in my building were broken into and wallets hidden in draws were taken along with prescription pill bottles.

But it really came in handy when I got a roommate who had no perception of personal space. Its large enough to put things like a large wallet your passport and prescription bottles in. Yet small enough to hide in a large draw or throw in an overnight bag.

I have two problems with it. One, the key lock looks like it could be easily broken with a screw driver. Two it looks like it would melt in any sorta of heat.

"don't bother", I purchased this safe and found the lock to be very cheap.The digital lock would not set and would only open if you hit star button or used the key.

"Easy to use, no fumbleing with keys.", I've been using this daily and have no complaints. It is as secure as your average lock box. Key pad is easier to use than keys. Has a key back up should the battery fail.
