"It ain't all that", While I have had this cup for a couple of years now and it does the job it could be better. Most importantly it needs to be "lighter." I was spoiled using another cup for several years that had a more attractive design and was very light. After breaking it I could not find a replacement because it was only sold in bulk for company solicitation.

Again, this cup does the job and rides well on the dash of my car but it is just too heavy.

"A bumpy drive along a Maine country road", First off I would like to say that I have never left a review for any products online before now, but I found it necessary after my experience with this mug a couple of weeks ago.
I was on my way in to town last week to deliver some extra seedlings I had to a friend. I don't know if you have ever driven in Maine in the spring but we have some of the worst roads I have ever seen. I drive a small Honda Civic and I swear my car could fall through some of the pot holes on our back roads. I live out of town and drove these tender little seedlings about 40 miles to give them to a friend. Lots of back roads. Bumping, jumping and swerving down these roads I made my way into town. I met up with my friend, unloaded the plants and chatted for a few minutes. Said good bye and began to get in my car and drive off when my friend hollered over to me "Don't forget your coffee mug on top of your car". I couldn't believe it!! There it was just sitting on top I don't even think that it slid an inch. WOW!!!
So yeah, this is a great mug if you are involved in activities where your coffee might jump around a lot. It claims that it won't spill when tipped up to a 45 degree angle. Great for sailing, boating, golfing, etc.
I use this mug every day and since it doesn't fit in a standard cup holder in cars I have to sit it on my dashboard. It has never slid off once, and my dashboard is slanted down quite a bit too, not one of those flat dashboards. Oh, and did I mention that I drive on some terribly bumpy roads.
Just a little tip. I always put hot tap water in my mug and let it heat the mug while my coffee's brewing. This helps it stay warmer a little longer!




"The best and let me tell you why!", Yes, this is the travel mug that has been around for some time. I have even heard that this is the original travel mug. Highwave does have a history of firsts in the coffee mug arena. Why? I have to believe it is because they are thinkers, coffee drinkers, and devoted to making the coffee experience better.

The wide bottom is the big plus, albeit not for every situation. The wide bottom keeps the center of gravity much lower than other mugs. This mug will not tip over with coffee inside (okay if you roll your car, this will tip over but hey you have bigger things to worry about then!).

The handle is large enough for a man's hand, but not so large as to be unwieldy for a smaller hand.

The groves around the middle hold the lid on, but they are also instrumental in keeping coffee from sloshing out. This is the only mug I use at home (okay, I have two) and you won't find a single coffee stain on my carpet. Did you ever notice that the vast majority of carpets in most office buildings are some shade of combination of brown? This is because a lot of coffee is spilled by typical mugs and disposable cups. Take a look the next time you are in the office!

The grooves also make it easy to pick up the mug without the handle. wrapping your hand around the mug with your thumb and first finger in the groove is a very natural feeling.

The conical shape not only allows for a lower center of gravity, but keeps the flavor from escaping quickly, much like a red wine or whisky tasting glass that is smaller at the top. This also slows the heat from leaving the mug.

In short, this mug was built from the ground up by people who care about enjoying coffee, and looked at every aspect of how to make a great mug.


"The Best Travel Mug", This is the most wonderful travel mug. It is also great for an office or anywhere you want to take it. I put mine in the microwave and the dishwasher, and it has lasted for several years. Don't know if that is recommended or not, but you can do it, and the mug will do fine. The top is very secure, the handle comfortable, best insulation you can get without a special liner. Also, comes in lots of great colors. If you buy this, I don't think you will be disappointed.

"The best travel mug by far", These are the best travel mugs by far. I've used one for over 10 yrs. The only drawback is that if you wash it in the dishwasher, the pad on the bottom will wear out after 6-9 months. Very stable and it holds a large qty of beverage! They're the bomb. A great gift.
