"iTouchless Fresh Sealer - Very Easy to Use!" I just received mine from Amazon, and I was very pleased at how easy it is to set up and use. It can run on batteries, but I used the included AC adapter. Simply plug in the unit, place your items inside, close the lid, and snap the clasp closed. The machine immediately starts humming as it creats a vacuum: about two minutes to complete the process. I was able to fit in a loaf of bread, several muffins and 6 bananas. To open, simply undo the clasp and wait a few seconds. Only time will tell, of course, if the iTouchless fresh sealer will hold up to constant use. I shall update in a few months. UPDATE: Update sooner than I thought: the machine works well. However, a brief word about bananas. If you place a green banana inside the iTouchless, vacuum seal, then let it be for a week, at the end of the week the banana will still be green (or slightly yellowing). However, open the banana and it will be well-ripen. The banana simply ripens as if it were out on the counter for the week. All you do is keep the skin looking newish. The 'green' banana I had this morning had the inside of an almost blackened banana: very mushy. It is obvious that the 'meat' of a banana cares nothing for our feeble attempts to prolong its life. The iTouchless does work well with bread and apples, to date. Again, very easy to use. I still recommend, just do not purchase for the sole purpose of keeping bananas fresh longer. UPDATE FEBRUARY 15, 2008: I agree with the 'one star' reviewer: the unit does generate some heat. Not enough to melt chocolate or such, but noticeable. I would not try to keep items like cherries, grapes, etc., inside this iTouchless. When I tried items that have a high moisture content there would soon be moisture inside the bubble top, and leads to spoilage. After a year of usage I would downgrade my recommendation to 3 stars. It is good within its narrow range, but the heat it generates does, as the one-star reviewer noted, actually speed up molding in some fruits. Pity.

What our customer's say! "Does work !!!!", Still playing with it but it does work !!! I did the experiment where I put most of the things in the sealer and one of each out on the counter and the stuff in side the sealer was fresh. I just found out though that you should not put in there real juicy things (ie. plums and peaches) if not eaten right away!!!! "Very good for preserving hard textured fruit", This sealer works very well with fruit such as Apples and Oranges. I've eaten oranges as late as 2 weeks and it was still very tasty. Sometimes condensation does form inside the unit, especially if it is left in the sunlight. All you have to do is use a paper towel and wipe up the condesation, then reseal the container. The unit is not going to produce miracles, but it will preserve the fruit at least 2 to 3 times longer than if it were sitting out in a bowl on the counter. Enjoy! (I've had my unit for almost a year now). "iTouchless Fresh Sealer Fully Automatic disappointment", My wife was trilled when she saw this product thinking that the fruit and vegetables that we don't eat right away would stay fresh until we consumed them. After purchasing this item we put some bananas in it and let the machine do its thing. After three days we noticed that the bananas were not fairing well. There was also moisture condensation on the inside of the lid. We remove the bananas and ate maybe two and pitched the rest. We cleaned the machine and let it dry over night. We next purchased some "fresh" tomatoes still on the vine and place them in the machine and turned it on. After 4-5 days the tomatoes were fuzzy and one had a pimple. After giving some thought to the problem my solution for the manufacture is to market this product where the humidity levels exceed the temperature level and use it for a dehumidifier for cameras and film. It will not work for us in Arizona where humidity levels are 10% and the temperature is all ways higher. I am looking for the customer service link now. "iTouchless Fresh Sealer, NOT Recommended", I was very enthused about this purchase, and after reading the 2 positive reviews, I was convinced this would be a good buy. After receiving the item, reading the directions in the booklet that comes with it, I put fruit in it, and was then very disappointed in the results. Food spoiled very quickly for me in the sealer, I was very frequently opening it to dry out moisture that accumulated. Also, there seemed to be quite a bit of heat inside the sealer. The only food that seemed to do well in it was tomatoes. Cherries and grapes molded very quickly, as did bell peppers. We talked w/the manufacturers about the product, got a fax with a few additional instructions but were still not happy w/the product. I am pleased w/Amazon's great customer service and return policy. That part of the transaction went well. "Love It", I got mine about a month ago and I just love it. I bake my bread and slice it and put it in there and all anybody has to do is open and get their piece. I also but roma tomatoes and put them in there and they last so long I was shocked. I used to put them on the counter and within a few days I seen bad spots form and fur. I will try more things and update.
