"Excellent value!" Very pleased with this pot. Bottom is very thick & it looks nice! Would recommend for anyone. "Love It!" I purchased a set of these pans from Amazon over a year ago and I still love them. With the use of a little Bar Keepers Friend to clean them they still look fantastic. I highly recommend these pans. I just purchased this pan when I got a new oven and it's the perfect size for soups, chili, boiling noodles, etc. "Deep Multi purpose pot" Have only used this pot for popcorn! It happens to make perfect popcorn. Just cover the bottom with one layer of kernels and just enough oil. Watch the pot, shake it a few times while cooking, when popping slows, turn off the heat. All kernels pop and none are burned. Used on a gas stove. "Great Pot!" I started purchasing the Cuisinart Chef's Classic series last year because I purchased a parrot companion to live with me and I read from several sources that fumes released from cooking with non-stick coated cookware was extremely toxic, actually causes death, to birds although undetected by humans. I am so glad to find such a wonderful line of cookware at a very affordable price, especially since I was replacing all of my new non-stick (brand to remain undisclosed, but I will say not cheap)cookware I had purchased only 2 months prior to my parrot. I'm glad I read Cuisinart's care instructions because it is very easy to clean and it's a year later and all of the pieces I have purchased still look like new. My only regret is that I didn't buy the complete set like the 17 pc one to start with.Cuisinart Chef's Classic Stainless 17-Piece Cookware Set And now my bird and I are healthy and happy thanks to Cuisinart. ""Multi-Purpose Pot" for every day cooking" I could not tell from the product image but the pot is actually very shiny both inside and out. (I thought it had frosted outer surface.) It is also a very light-weight pot. I am using it to cook soup, rice, stew, etc. and it just works perfect. As it is stated in the product features, this pot heats very quickly and it is easy to clean. To my surprise, the product package had a pitcture of Lidia Bastianich (my favorite Italian cooking show hostess), meaning she recommends it too. Lastly, the price was good so I am very happy with this pot!

What our customer's say! "Love This All Purpose Pan!", Where has this pan been all my life? Easy to clean (dishwasher safe also) ..heats up quickly and evenly..lid is just the right weight and is glass so you can watch what you are cooking...Great size for just about anything. I have made everything from a potfull of jambalya to corn on the cob and this pan has made me look like I know what I am doing. Perfect gift at a great price. Buy this as a nice treat for yourself...you won't be disappointed. "Amazon is turning into a bargain hunter's paradise. ", And this pot is a great example. Size is perfect for my family. I love the glass lid so I can keep an eye on things without having to lift the lid. And to top it all off, it is really beautiful. It is also light weight. Which, as an aging wimp I find to be a plus. Although I think that those who equate quality with heaviness in cookware would reject this pot out of hand, but weight aside it seems to be very well made. I have already used it for soups and beans, but I wouldn't use it for something like making candy. Something which requires a fairly high heat but with a bottom thick enough to keep from scorching. But for the kind of cooking I do the pot is excellent and the price cannot be beat. "Great multi-purpose pot", I own a lot of Cuisinart cookware, and am consistently pleased with the combination of quality and value. I bought this in lieu of another large, cast-iron Dutch oven, because I can't easily handle really heavy cookware. I use this for deep frying and making smaller batches of homemade soups, when I don't want to drag out my large stock pot. I'll try the stovetop popcorn idea suggested by another reviewer -- it's a strong and resilient pot that I could probably use for any number of other things. As noted, the high-shine finish is featured both inside and out, and as with all Cuisinart cookware, the glass lid fits nicely. I hand wash all my pots and pans, but this is listed as dishwasher safe, too. "Neat Pot", This is a great pot. It is lighweight but looks great. No complaints over here. "Poor Quality and definitely not a 5 * product as the other reviews", I bought this product and wanted to rate it because this is DEFINITELY NOT a 5 * rated product as the other reviewers have given. I own a Chef's Classic Stainless 14-Piece set and the quality of this set is worse that the 14-Piece set. The attached aluminum plate in the bottom for even heating is thinner. The overall product is made of thinner stainless steel. I'm giving a 1 * to bring the overall rating down however it can be a 2* product.
