"Great features, but has issues!", I purchased this mug a few months ago because of its size, the fact that it is microwaveable, and it is dishwasher safe.

I guess I should have anticipated the fact that the lid being plastic, and the mug being ceramic, there could never be a tight seal. After a few days of spilling coffee on my car, my briefcase, and my attire, I had to transport it wrapped in a plastic bag. Worse, when I microwaved it to a drinkable temperature, the mug became so hot that I couldn't pick it up without wrapping the handle in a paper towel. It would burn my lips if I didn't wait until it cooled down before drinking it, and by then, the coffee was not as hot as I prefer. And I can't count the number of times I spilled it down the front of me while drinking from it!

One morning last week when I opened the cabinet door, the mug, positioned too close to the edge of the shelf, went crashing to my granite countertop, shattering into countless pieces. Rather than getting mad at the culprit for its poor placement, I felt a sense of relief that the most high-maintenance travel mug I've ever encountered is gone from my life!


"Not a favorite", This mug is okay but not great. The size and shape are a little bulky. It doesn't quite fit into my cup holder in my car. And because it is ceramic, my hot green tea only stays hot for five minutes on my 60 minute commute in the morning. I would not purchase again.
