"I Use It Daily" I bought this product as a desktop companion when I am working, editing, or just enjoying my computer. I use it everyday, I use it for hours and it works wonderfully. I use the headphone feature for the best sound and it plays DVD's and DVD-recordables. I am very pleased with the purchase. "Far more than adequate" Kids on a plane. What more do you really need this for? It does that job quite nicely and works as advertised. No complaints. but the cost has gone up $100. Why, when a newer model is now available? "Love this DVD player!" I have enjoyed this product. I took it on a recent trip and I watched two full-length movies on the airplane, and still had ample battery life left. I did have the settings on "moonlight" and a .5 brightness, but I thought the screen was still very clear. It is very light and portable. As someone who was looking for a quality product to pass the time in the airports and on the airplanes, this is a perfect product. "What's All the Fuss about the Moonlight Mode?" When I bought this product, I was a little wary, having read reviews about using the Moonlight mode to save on battery life. Someone said it was comparable to a dark screen. Not true! It works fine in Moonlight mode; in fact, I used the Moonlight mode to watch the screen (plugged in, not using the battery) in bed. This is a good product, and I would buy it again. "Great Device" I am a frequent traveler and bought the DVD player to use while on the road. It is great. It is light weight and small enough to fit in any size carry-on bag. The picture quality is fabulous. One of my best buys in months.

What our customer's say! "Buyer Beware : Panasonic Discontinues Batteries Making Their Players Inoperable !!", I purchase in 2004 a Panasonic DVD-LX9 portable DVD player for $800. Until recently, it worked fine. However, the built-in but detachable battery just went bad and needs replacing. Panasonic has discontinued the battery, and without it the player won't work even on mains power ! So, my expensive investment is now quite useless ! All Panasonic is prepared to do is offer a small discount to buy a much inferior unit. SO MY ADVICE IS : DON'T BUY PANASONIC LEST THEY DISCONTINUE THE BATTERY LATER !! "Great little player", I have really enjoyed this little jewel. I wanted it mainly to show digital photographs that I had put onto a dvd. I have been quite pleased. My three year old grandson loves it, he feels so grown up with the ear phones on watching his own little tv. "panasonic DVD-LS80", good product with good battery even though it is a refurbished one. I can see the whole DVD disc without recharging the battery. "Portable DVD Player", Purchased this to use on the airplane but I am a bit disappointed. The battery life is marginal. I have to increase the speed of playback to watch an entire movie of around 2 hours. I decreased the brightness as suggested but then the picture is difficult to view. Other than the battery life, the unit works great! "Great deal", Very convenenient alternative to larger DVD player connected to TV. Price was great and have enjoyed the DVD player. Read this reviews before You buy... "Marketing deceiving! Needs additional $60-100 battery", A previous reviewer is correct on all counts. Marketing is down-right lying on this packaging. This DVD player lasts only about 2.8 hours on the provided battery. The 6-hour advertising was the reason I purchased. You must purchase another long life battery to get the six-hour time. I think it's a CGR-711 battery. "this was cool ", I use this at work while folding clothes and its a great picture well worth my money and the thing that would make it better is a remote other then that I give it 5 stars "Worth the money", I bought this as a gift for someone so i briefly checked it out and it seem perfect. Its very light and the battery life is excellent. However would have been perfect to have a remote like the other little ones. Otherwise its worth the money.And the person seem to like it alot as well. "great picture, but battery is overrated", I read the reveiws on this before I bought it and most of the bad reveiws complained about the 6hr. battery life that was advertised. They were all saying it didn't last nearly that long. I just got this and tested the battery on the settings Panasonic said to (with headphones and lowest lighting) and it only lasted 4 and a half hours. I'm mainly using this on airplane trips of 3 hours of less, so it's just fine for me.....even if it doesn't last as long as advertised. "A Great Disappointment", I bought the Panasonic Portable DVD player, model DVD-LS80, for my wife as a Christmas gift on the second of December of 07. Naturally, it sat under the tree until the 25th of December. When she opened the box, she was very pleased. We followed the instructions to charge the battery, 4 hours per the manual, and then tried to watch a 1 hour DVD. the battery had not charged at all. We tried it with the power attached and the player worked beautifully. The battery was recharged 3 more times with no results. It simply would not charge. I called Panasonic on 19 January and was told I obviously had not charged the battery correctly. The person was courteous, but wouldn't let me get a word in edge-wise during his lecture. I am more than displeased with Panasonic. After spending almost 200 dollars, you would think I would have been offered a free new battery. I was told a replacement battery would cost another 70 dollars. I have decided to never buy Panasonic products after this. I hope this discourages others from buying this product. |
