Others say...
"Worth the investment" I have owned, loved, and used a Senseo everyday for almost two years. It's perfect for a single person. But I missed spoiling myself with 100% Kona coffee from Hawaii. That's the reason I invested in the Perfect Pod. It came with a good supply of filters and is so easy to use--it takes maybe a minute to make a pod. It looked intimidating at first, but it's simple. Other reviewers have said to experiment with the grind and/or amount of coffee, so here are my suggestions: The Perfect Pod filter is the larger two-pod size. For one cup, fill the filter almost full with regular grind and use your two-pod holder (the one cup option was a challenge because I thought the one-pod holder made the coffee weak). For two cups, stuff the filter full with regular grind and use your two-pod holder. "EASY AS 1 2 3" Easy to use no need for directions. experiment till you find the right amount of coffee and proper grind. I feel these need a finer grind and more than your normal spoonful of coffee. they are plenty big enough. I have a Gourmet coffee cafe that use to be sold by Lexxus International a type of Amway company that got out of the business due to low sales. This unit fits perfect. Like I said experiment with your grind and amount of coffee you will find that this device is great for people that are tired of trying box after box of pods to find one they like. "make the coffee to your taste" with this machine, you can make coffee pods to your liking. i am thankful that someone made this kind of machine "Incredible!" Easy to use, coffee is great, and I get my FOAM with the Senseo cradle. Senseo stopped making Killarney pods after I became hopelessly addicted, so I sprang for the perfect pod machine and got a bag of Irish Creme coffee from the local supermarket. First pod was perfect, I make a batch every weekend for the next week and I can use whatever coffee I want! Saves money because I don't need to buy expensive pods. I tend to gravitate towards Kenya and Columbia, which the supermarket doesn't carry in Senseo pods, so now I can just buy the beans off the shelf without having to locate and order my favorite blends online. Today I'll be whipping up a batch of Irish creme with a touch of espresso in my perfect pods! Don't hesitate for a second about buying this product, it's great and you'll love it! "Best customer service ever...." We purchased a Perfect Pod Maker about 3 months ago and made many a great pod with Starbuck's espresso coffee beans. One day, however, we woke up to find that, despite our best efforts, we could not encourage the Maker to heat up. I called the company's phone number listed on the instructions and described the problem. I fully expected to have to ship back our Maker, and pay the postage on the new one, if the company was good enough to exchange. I was very surprised and pleased when the service rep (owner?) said he would ship a replacement out immediately, free of charge, and that we didn't need to return the original at all. The replacement unit arrived 4 days later. You can't beat that kind of service. Thanks, Y'all!!

What our customer's say! "Kaldi's In My Senseo !!!", I am one of the morons that likes Medium Roast for its consistency. I use the Dark Roast on weekend. However, with the Perfect Pod I am now able to manage my family's coffee needs. I use Medium Roast for my drive to work, for my wife she (shamefully) likes Folders Hazelnut. However, she would make a eight cup pot of Hazelnut each morning. Now I make the Pods on Sunday for the week (I make 10 to give her a few extra cups) and she makes one cup at a time. My brother lives in St. Louis and sends me Kaldi's blends and coffee all the time, so I have made Pods from Kaldi's and have really enjoyed Kaldis as a single serve. Well made, reasonably priced product that gives you the option to plan your week of coffee. Sunday nights are fun and shopping for coffee is too. "A "prayer" answered", I was thrilled to find this gem - and even more thrilled that it works exactly as advertised. I was ordering my pods from Holland and it was just too expensive. This is a dream come true! It works, it uses your coffee, it's incredibly easy!! I just couldn't be more pleased. (For those who buy one and have the same initial question I did - the lid doesn't close completely when the unit is off. I thought mine might be defective. Not quite as easy for storage, but I just sat it on top of the toaster oven and it's out of the way.) "A MUST HAVE ITEM if you own a Senseo Coffee Maker! ", I recently purchased a Senseo Coffee Maker and I had used the PRO version at work several years ago and loved them, convincing my husband was another story! But I knew if he tried it, he would love it and I was right. I purchased the pod maker at the same time as many others had recommended this item, and they were right! Its fabulous, takes five seconds to make a pod and you can virtually put any of your favorite coffee's and tea's in it. I definitely recommend purchasing this if you own a pod maker, it couldn't be faster or easier and it's small enough to keep right there with you coffee maker if you wish to. Well worth the money! "Well worth the money!", It's a great little machine! Like most of the other reviewers, I was really put off by the cost and quality of the pods available for my machine (a Senseo). The Perfect Pod Maker allows me to use the coffee of my own choosing. It's easy to use and fast. It takes less than two minutes to make a pod and the average pod-making time goes down to mere seconds if you're making more than one pod at a time. (If you're a freak about having absolutely the freshest ground coffee every single time, you could make your pod each time you use your coffee maker. I find it's simplest to just make a week's worth of pods at a time.) A singe Perfect Pod fits...well... perfectly! ... in my Senseo's "2 cup" pod holder and the coffee tastes so much better! "Perfect Podmaker", If you enjoy your own freshly ground coffee, purchase this podmaker for the Senseo machine. It works quickly, seals the filters tightly, and is easy to operate. Watch the video review on the Amazon website to see how it works! ![]()
Read this reviews before You buy... "Nice idea.", Yet another product made in China. Seems every time I buy a product, I find out it's from China ... only after I buy it. There is no escape. So how do I like it? Actually, I think it's a nifty device. It looks like it is built pretty well. I was surprised that it was bigger than I thought it would be (not that it is all that large, it isn't). And the blinking light telling you it's ready (stops blinking when ready) is on the lid. No big deal (since that is where the heating element is), just thought it odd since the on/off switch in the front lights up and felt it would be more appropriate there. For those who have a Senseo coffee maker (or other pod maker) you should enjoy this product. I don't care that much for Senseo coffee. Oh, a couple grinds are pretty decent, but I tire of them quickly. Enter the Pod Maker. I now can buy any type or brand of coffee I want, from inexpensive 3 pound cans to expensive brands. It's given a new lease on life for my Senseo coffee maker. As far as how it works, see Mark Husson's video review below (nicely done, Mark). And yes, it's as simple as it looks. Obviously, one will waste a few pods trying to gage the correct amount of coffee to use (depends upon the brand, grind and personal taste), but that's a small price to pay to get a better tasting mug of coffee. So how do I rate it? Between 1 and 10, I give this device a solid 7 (or a marginal 4-star rating). It works as advertised (it seals the pods quickly and effectively, and is cool to the touch). However, the filters are expensive and not available at the grocery store where I shop (there is always a catch). To lessen the cost, it's better to buy in bulk (obviously), but even then, $15 plus shipping for 120 filters is about 5 to 10 times more expensive than standard filters. While Senseo coffee is very expensive (for what you get), one isn't saving all that much money going this route, but at least you can now purchase a variety of coffee and experiment, instead of being at the mercy of Senseo. Edit: After using the Pod Maker for over a month now, I think I might have short changed its value. I have found several coffees I really enjoy, and this wouldn't have happened without the Pod Maker. As I stated before, it's given a new lease on life to my Senseo coffee maker. Unfortunately, my Senseo just bit the dust and I was in a quandary of which coffee maker to buy. I really wanted the Breville, and also considered the Keurig B60 or B70 (I could still use the Pod Maker for these K-cup machines, so that told me right then and there how important this little device has become to me in a relatively short time). Well, I ended up purchasing another Senseo and saved myself a couple hundred bucks). Without the Pod Maker, I wouldn't have even considered another Senseo. Because of this fact, I will now up my rating from a solid 7 to a 9 (or a 5-star rating -- unfortunately one cannot change the actual star rating). It took a blown coffee maker for me to realize just how indispensable the Pod Maker is. "Brilliant!", Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R2K38NNMWJX0BX I started into this world of pods and k-cups when my expensive espresso machine died and they wanted $600 to fix it. I bought a Breville K-cup brewer (uses Keurig cups). I started spending lots of money on k-cups and feeling S.O.L. if I didn't order on time and I ran out of luck. So I bought a Pod Holster to fit into the machine so that I could use any pod I wanted. I noticed that they were sold as a set so based on the reviews I set out to see if the Perfect Pod maker could really hold its own. I love seeing a product in action so I decided to give you what I look for-a video review. "Coffee pod maker", I really like this product because you can use the coffee you like. The pods you buy are very expensive plus the ones I tried are not that good. It did take me awhile to learn how much to put in for two cups at one time and of course that depends upon how strong you like it. "Used with Keurig, Makes a decent cup of coffee", I use this to make pods for use with the "Perfect Pod Holster" with a Keurig B50. The coffee it makes is pretty good. It took a few pods before I got the coffee the way I wanted and I have found that filling the pod to the top with coffee and sealing it for about 8 seconds (not the recommended 2-3 seconds) works best. A pound of coffee makes about 40 pods. Depending on how expensive the coffee is, I am betting the average cost per pod will be 25 - 40 cents a pod. Better than individual K-Cups and less waste. The unit appears to be pretty solid and well built although it did appear that my box was re-packaged. Didn't have that "new packaged" look when I opened it. The unit itself was clean and did look new. Overall, very satisfied so far. "Handy little gadget!", I got a free Senseo, and reallllly didn't like their coffee. After trying to make my own pod with a regular coffee filter, I did a bit of searching and ran across this little gadget. While I shied away from it initially due to the price, the cost of pre-made pods made me reconsider. I cannot believe how quick and easy it is to make my own pods, using whatever coffee I want. I generally like darker roasts, but on occasion I enjoy a cup of flavored coffee. I use the larger Senseo pod holder, and put two full scoops of coffee in each Perfect Pod; I get a double cup from each. Do buy the refills in bulk, it's much cheaper. It doesn't take long to make the pods; I store them in a glass jar. ![]() |
