"Jugs"
Very pleased with this product as well. Exactly as posted, wonderful in use, great price. just make sure the size is right for you.

"Bormiolo refrigerator jug set"
If you try to pour from the jugs, with the top lid in place, they drain a sizable amount of the contents down the front of the jugs and onto your counter. I remove the jug lid to pour into a glass without a mess.
I like the size of these jugs for our small family. Also the size and shape fits better in the frige than a large round jug. It's not a big deal to remove the lid to pour.

"Have had mine for years, but . . ."
I have purchased 6 of these over the years and always used and enjoyed them. Not 1 has ever broken. I did not need tight sealing lids because the variety of liquids I kept in the refrigerator disappeared quickly.

Now I am giving mine away--tendontis in my dominant hand and general muscle depletion have made them much too heavy for me any more.

I have found the same item but in the pint size (already have one) and have ordered 4. So, you can see I like these and was surprised by the low rating and varied criticism--except about the weight, especially when full. However the weight only bothered me recently.

"Crappy Lids"
As many others have said, the lids fit poorly and the liquid drbbles down the side when you pour. You have to remove the lids before pouring which is a pain when you are holding a baby! Even if you have your glass in one had and pitcher in the other, you have to put the glass down to remove the lid so you won't spill. I did use hot and cold and had no problems.

"Arrived Broken"
One of the 2 pitchers arrived broken. The company hadn't even put buble wrap or any protive wrapping around it. Nor was the package marked "fragile".

Bummer. I wouln't order another of their products.

What our customer's say!

"It met my needs.", These two glass containers were perfect for what I needed. What was that need you might ask? I wanted ice coffee during the hot summer months. The glass doesn't absorb the coffee stains or scent, easy to clean, and fits very well in the door of my refrigerator. The top lid doesn't fit snugly, but it keeps the coffee from smelling up the leftover food and it keeps the leftover food scents out of the coffee. Again, my need was to keep ice coffee in the refrigerator and I didn't want it to take up a lot of space. These containers did just that.

"glass fridg pitchers", These are the best, with all the news about the plastic water bottles my husband asked me to look for a glass pitcher (can't believe how hard to find a COVERED 1 or 2 liter pitcher)
Everyone who comes to my house wants them and I give them the link on amazon.

"Nice Jars, Not too heavy", I bought these jars because I wanted something not made of plastic to avoid that plastic taste. These work well for our family as they are not too heavy and, with two, you can have two drinks available while not taking up much space. Like others have said, the top does dribble when you do not carefully pour.

"Good glass pitchers", I bought these for my boss for his home. I have yet to hear any complaints, so I assume they work well.

"Terrible. Don't waste your money", These are beautiful glass pitchers -- but the lids are TOTAL garbage.

I wish that I hadn't thrown away the box, because I would have packed up the pitchers and returned them immediately.

So what's the beef? The lids do not seal, not one bit. I even spread plastic wrap over the mouth then put the lid over the plastic. Okay, that worked, but I shouldn't have to do it.

So what's the beef? Liquid does not poor cleanly from the pitcher. Instead the liquid drips all over the place.

Amazon, if you would be willing to accept these returned without a box, please let me know. Until then, the pitchers sit unused in a kitchen cabinet.

"Poor Pour", Great Concept, but when i pour, the liquid drizzles down the edge of the jug even when held at a 90 degree angle. This isn't a problem if i pour without the lid, but then, what's the point?
I use them for water only because otherwise it would make a mess.
pros: fine without lid, sturdy thick glass
cons: as above

"Too prone to breaking", One of the two pitchers in this set was chipped when I received it, so I threw it away. The set was about the price of a single comparable pitcher, so this didn't both me much.

After using the remaining pitcher a half-dozen times for iced tea, it shattered. It was room temperature and had no cracks or chips. I poured hot water into the pitcher, and as soon as it was full, one side of the pitcher completely cracked and shot across my kitchen, getting boiling water and glass shards everywhere.

I've used glass pitchers for iced tea for years and never had this happen before. These pitchers are not as durable as they seem.

"Terrific Refrigerator Pitcher", *****
These pitchers are very sturdy and heavy. They fit beautifully on the inside door of my refrigerator. They don't leach chemicals into my beverages, either. They take up very little space (they are squared not rounded so they fit well all lined up) and are attractive. If you are looking for a healthy option to plastic, this is it.

The lids are nice and snug keep things fresh (I bought a total of six jugs). The lid can be turned to an "open" position like many pitchers so that the lid doesn't have to be removed to pour.

The pitchers are attractive and not chinsy-looking like plastic pitchers. Buy more than one not only to save on shipping and handling, but because you'll want more for sure!

"Glass Jugs", Yes, the tops leak. They are too small to be very handy and are very heavy even when empty. I will use them for something but probably not often.

"Great", The set comes with different colors on the lids, very nice. If you hold your glass close to the jugs lip, there is no problem with pouring and spillage. These are great items for those who want a cleaner and healthier kitchen by clearing their shelves of plastic based storage containers
