"Good product" I had researched other products for much more $$$. I found that this product is quite good for what is was designed for. If you are half way mechanically inclined, you should have no trouble at all. The instructions are easily understood and written for the backyard mechanic. "Great product" Easy to setup (as long as you have a ladder). It effectively clears the floor of my garage so that I can still park my cars and move around in the garage. I plan on using more when I get more bikes that need to be put in a secure place. "Great inexpensive Bike Storage Mount" Great price, fast delivery, easy to install. I order 3 of these and mounted all 3 bike right next to each other. But, I did take the advice of several previous purchasers reviews and replace the cord on all 3 right away. Paid $8 for 100' cord at Lowes. Looks like rock climbers cord. Used it all since we have 11' ceilings in our garage. "Great and the price is right." 1/2 the cost of another model - but totally functional. I do wish the two flat "hooks" on each side looked like this "L". Instead they are more like an Arial "L"s (without the hook). That means you need to get them mounted directly above where they hook and be more careful about moving the bike as you hoist it. The anti-drop rope stops work well enough to be the sole clamp when hoisted. I tie off the rope to the provided cleats but without tension. I have a wheelbarrow hanging from one of them. "good value" this bicycle hoist works well. I used the center holes for the screw to screw to the joist. Though I don't think those holes were intended for the screw. I don't think screwing into the sheetrock is adequate

What our customer's say! "Good product", This product works great for my bike and I also bought one for the bike trailer. I found the ceiling studs to mount the device. Unfortunately, the screws that came with the kit were not long enough when I mounted it directly into the ceiling. I had to get longer screws at the hardward store. It is a good value for the inexpensive price. "Excellent value!", I purchased four of these hoists for a small adult road bike, a large adult mountain bike, a small adult mountain bike, and a child's bike. They easily lift and store all sizes of our bikes. Even my 10-year old can get his bike up and down using the hoist. They have a great locking mechanism so you don't have to tied the rope down to secure the bike in the up position, and you can use it to securely "hold" the bike on the way up or down if you need to. The rope seems a bit skimpy, but as other reviewers said, can be easily replaced if it starts to fray. Phenomenal value at $14.95. "This Really is RAD", I never have space for anything anymore, especially my bike. I know me and plenty of other people can find a place to put these things, they just take up so much space. Well now that I I got this item, my day is actually brighter. I don't know why I'm so happy with this product, but it worked great for me and is lasting very well. I've got to recommend this to all, because I'm sure you'll be happy with it too. It even comes with a lifetime warranty, isn't that sweet. Even the heavy bikes can by hung by this, trust me I know. "Here are some helpful suggestions as you mount this great product...", We researched a lot of similar products via online reviews, settling on this one as having the greatest likelihood of highest quality / best price and WE ARE VERY PLEASED :) Here are some key things we'd like you to know: 1. It takes some time to get these things mounted right, so just plan on it... you need to string the rope through the 4 pieces and pulleys just so, mount them on joists just so, and ensure the distance between the two pieces is just right for your bike. We recommend at least two people, chips and salsa, and perhaps a coors light. 2. You can mount several bikes fairly close together if you offset the handlebars a bit forward and back among the mounts so that the handlebars never "share the same space." Our mounts run parallel to the joists spaced at 24" and we mounted 5 bikes, one on each joist side-by-side. Darling husband used long screws from the hardware store rather than the hardware included in the package. 3. It is important that the BACK tire go against the wall where the rope coming out of the brake will be cleated. The whole rope and braking mechanism works so well this way ... if you put the handlebars on the wall side like the picture for this product, then the handlebars block you moving the rope to operate the brake (trust, trust, trust me on this). If you put the back tire to the wall, the rope moves freely :) 4. The distance between the ceiling and the bike will not be related to how far up the handlebars or the seat stick up ... it will be the length of the hardware above where it hooks on -- this may be important to you if you are mounting above a car and top-to-bottom distance matters. We mounted three of our bikes above a mini-van roof (the other two in front) and it was important to choose the lower profile bikes as not all of the bikes would have fit directly above the van. 5. On arrival, the instructions said the mounts would hold 100 pounds (which is more than we had read here online). Our tandem bike fully equipped is just under 50 pounds and seems very secure and happy. 6. These are designed for the top rounded section of the lower hook assembly to fit into the rounded-out section of the ceiling mounted pulleys. The hook assembly will only fit into the ceiling assembly if the two pieces mounted on the ceiling are spaced EXACTLY to fit the specific bike where the hooks will grab the seat and handlebars. You'll be much more pleased if you take the time to get this spacing right (you can tell by letting the hooks hang down while you are choosing the mounting position ~ gravity will allow the ropes to work as a plumb line :) 7. If you are going to cut the rope shorter, only do so when the bike is in the down position ... once the bike is lowered, this cool contraption uses a lot of the rope! Bon Appetit! "Bike Hoist", Excellent product and well worth the money. Virtually identical to a more expensive model offered by another manufacturer. Fairly easy to install once you find the ceiling joists. Recommend NOT cutting the extra rope until you lower it to the ground the first time. It makes putting the bike back up a little challenging if the rope is too short! If you need extra room in your garage this product is a must have! ![]()
Read this reviews before You buy... "Great storage solution", I have three of these in the garage and they are an excellent storage solution. It can be a hassle to move the car in order to get the bike down but its a small price to pay for the floor space that is freed up. I use the hoist for our bikes as well as the child trailer, it works great. "very good!!", I'm very happy with my purchase, and for sure would continue to shop here thanks amazon. "Perfect for high ceilings, love them", We bought 2 of these, now I wish I had gotten more. We have high ceilings in the garage, so I can see how if your ceiling is low, they may not work for you. However, once up, which was easy to do, they free up SO much floor space in our crowded garage. With 2 cars, 3 kids' bikes and ours off the floor now, it has made the space easier to use. "Very well made and works as expected", I bought three of these units to help eliminate the clutter in the garage. I have them installed and they all work very well. I looked at more expensive units from other companies but these units are just as good and much cheaper. They do take some time to install but there they are worth it because they really do free up space in the garage. You will not be disappointed with these units and I highly recommend them. "Excellent bike hoist", I'm really into efficiency, and this definitely is a good way to take advantage of vertical empty space. I live in an apartment and it's a nice way to get the bike out of the way. ![]() |
