Others say...

"Not going to a landfill anytime soon!"
Too many companies make flimsy junk that lasts long enough for them to collect their money, then the product breaks and goes to the landfill. That's definitely not what this world needs. This product is made to last. Refreshing!

"Can Crusher"
The pre-drilled mounting locations at the top are difficult to use as the screws interfere with the structure. Otherwise, it crushes cans quite compactly, but you need to dent and hold the base of the can while crushing.

"Very Solid"
It was very important to me to get a can crusher that could take a licking and keep on ticking. This model is solid, very sturdy construction, all steel and no flex while you use it. I am very happy with this purchase.

"does the job with some modifications"
We replaced our previous can crusher because it was shooting the cans at people. I thought this one would solve the problem because the lever actually comes down over the can. After installation we discovered that that the cans would try to escape at the bottom, while it doesn't shoot directly at the person it still pops out the bottom. After we scratched up the bottom for some gripping texture and used a hammer to dent the base so that it's not flat, we haven't had a problem.

"Great product but do something before you start using it."
Many people have complained about this product in terms of the handle. They say the white medal side slips over the steel bar. Well,....what I did was drill a small hole just inside of silver medal bar where you hold your hand. After I drilled the holes I placed a cotter pin in each and twisted them in place. The white part of the main piece will stay inside but it should never 'fall off' because of the cotter pin. If it breaks the cotter pin, replace the pin instead of having to bend the white piece closer to the middle. Use a strong bit and be careful. It will also take a while to drill through the steel bar. One other tidbit is I touch the can about an inch from the bottom and it seems to make a perfect squished can. Good luck and happy crushing.

What our customer's say!

"Works Great", I have used this product for several weeks and have crushed over 10 pounds of cans with it and have had no problems whatsoever.

I have read in other reviews about how the can sometimes pops out and this is true, but it doesn't happen much and when it does, it is easy to put the can back in and get completely crushed on the second try. After you get the hang of it it shouldn't be a problem.

It also has a very heavy, sturdy design and has no "give" at all when used.

"Great can crusher", Well, this thing curhses cans just like it says and its great. Just soda cans tho.

"Great Can Crusher", Pacific Precision Metals 77701 Steel Can Crusher is a solid product that is easy to use.

"smashing", I like the product. It seems well built. I have only used it a short while and it has done well so far... couple hundred cans. Only thing I dislike is the occasional spit out of the cans even with the dent in the can to start. If there were some sort of guard to prevent that would be great. Has happened to me about one in every 25-30 cans.

"love the can crusher", We had bought one several months ago and were the envy of the family. Now we are buying them as gifts to family members. Gotta love this can crusher!

"Terrific can crusher", This crusher is very sturdy and works like a charm. I had my last one like it for over 15 years before I had to replace it.

"Good Product", Works great, seems much stronger than another style that I used to have. I crush quite a few cans with it, and I haven't had a problem yet. The included screws are plenty strong to hold it steady.

"great crusher except handle", We have mounted this can crusher to studs in the wall of our garage. It's very sturdy except that the handle kept coming off. My husband added heavy screws to the sides of it, and now it's perfect.

"Great Product", This product works great. It is very sturdy and I believe it will be around for a long time.

"Good Tool", I have used this tool for almost a year and have crushed hundreds of cans. My only suggestion is that you dent the bottom of the can when you place it in the crusher. Put the can in the crusher, push on the bottom of the can until you form a dent then pull down on the handle to crush the can. Otherwise the can has a tendancy to slip out from the crusher thereby causing you to start over again. Other than that the tool works very well.
