"Great juicer" I bought this juicer for my husband, he loves juice so i thought he would enjoy having fresh juice. He really likes this machine. It is powerful and fast. It can do alot of juice in a short amount of time. It is alot of machine for the money. "The thrill of Breville" This machine was a great purchase. I've used other ones before and this one is fast, easy and cleans up nicely. I no longer dread the effort of making fresh juice. "Best Ever! Don't Wait to Get It!" I have used another juicer for 10 years and was tired of how hard it was to clean and how loud it was. It also left too much juice in the discarded pulp. I researched the popular brands online and found the rave reviews on the Breville. Why this Juicer is superior: 1. Large Hopper for less chopping of larger foods. 2. Multiple speeds 1 low - 5 high (grapes and citrus needs slower extraction) 3. High Grade See-Thru Plastic of upper chambers. Fun to see the processing and easier to clean. Pulp seems to slip off this plastic in short order 4. comes with wonderful accessories: Pitcher with special lid that conforms to the spout on the unit. Also has a customized rubber tip for the spout to drain directly into a juice glass. Great long handled scrubber brush to clean the metal mess grater. The manual comes with recipes for drinks, soups and also baking with the remaining pulp. 5. Clean up for ANY juicer is going to involve the same tedious process.I do not put any of the parts in the dishwasher - though they say these parts are safe for top tray of dishwasher. I would say all of my gripes of my first juicer have been remedied by buying the Breville. It looks and works like a high end professional juicer. I thought there would be more stainless steal parts (the hopper shoot is metal and the bass is metal)but the high grade lucite or acrylic plastic is a smoky grey,attractive and works out fine. This unit is BIG but if you are into juicing you will be very happy to have this Breville. It is also Not Too Loud. Once you order this item, go get your organic fruits and vegies as you will want to juice the minute you open the box and set it up on the counter!!! I sure was!!! (tip: buy one beet,and ginger root.The beets make your juice a lovely raspberry shade Use 1/3 beet and just a small amount of ginger gives your juice a healthy Zing!) "Outstanding Product!" This Breville Juicer is outstanding in every way! The design is extraordinary--resulting in ease of use, less mess, and an attractive place in one's kitchen. The juicer works as advertised--compact, powerful, quiet. It does take time to commit to juicing. Yet there is the benefit of closer contact and "bonding" with the fruits and vegetables. It's also highly advisable to clean immediately after each use, otherwise clean up can be exceptionally inefficient (even though a number of parts theoretically can fit in the top rack of the dishwasher, only the blade assembly actually fits in my dishwasher, which is a common size). Recommend, for new users, combining this purchase with The Juicer's Bible 2nd ed., by Pat Crocker. "Wonderfule Juicer!" I would highly recommend this juicer. It is very fast and efficient. This is a very high quality product that should last for years to come. It is very easy to use and to clean up! The juice from it tastes great! My favorite is carrot, apple with a quarter of a lime...delicious!

What our customer's say! "None better", I have a jack lalane powerjuicer deluxe, a mr. juiceman jr juicer and my parents have the hamilton beach juicer, I recently bought the breville bje510xl juicer and I will never look back at the other. About the breville, it is large so make sure you have counter space to keep it on but if you are serious about juicing, this is the machine to get. It is well thought out, with all the tools you need to juice right out of the box, including the pitcher that helps strain the foam from juicing. (every machine cause foaming from the nature of the way it works). It is nice and tall allowing the user to use the included pitcher or you can use our own drinking glass. The machine has variable speed from 1-5 for soft (speed 1) to hard (speed 5) vegetables/fruits. Juicing is fast and efficient, I can't say enough of this unit. In comparison to the jack lalane model, the breville would be a rolls royce vs. Lalane being a cadillac. The looks are both there but when juicing the Lalane model is no comparison. It is weak in power, really designed for softer fruits and veggies, even thought both machine has a built in neck to support throwing in small whole apples, the Lalane model bogs down and even shut down on me a couple of times. The Lalane model also requires a special tool to remove the blade to clean which can be painful if you loose the tool. I think the secret to the breville's success is that they have a built in hard blade in the center of the basket to start the cutting/chopping process as the fruit is spread to the shredder blades for juice extraction when the rest of the machine only relies on the shredding and centrifugal force of the unit to extract the juice. These machines are a classic case of you get what you pay for and yes it is a little pricier than the other units, you will never look back at the others or even have to wonder is there a better machine for the money out there. "First Juicer- Very Impressed", I have nothing to compare it to because this is my first juicer. I did my homework and read these, and other's, reviews and this product has been everything my wife and I had hoped for. There is clean-up, of course, and the trips to the store for the fresh fruit, but we think it is worth it and cost effective if you are smart about it. The speed control works great for different kinds of fruit or vegeatables. I recommend the Breville 900-Watt Juice Extractor. "Good Product", Very good product. Powerful, sexy, extracts all the juice. Only downside is that the unit leaks a little from the top at high speeds. But am definetly happy with my purchase. "Good while it works", I love the design of this juicer and the ease in assembly. I love that the feed tube is wide enough that you don't have to cut up apples and medium sized fruit. I like the different power settings so you can juice hard fruits and soft fruits at different speeds. Unfortunately, the machine stopped working after 3 juicings. The LCD lights came on but nothing happened when you pressed the on/off switch. I returned it to Amazon and got a refund. I have re-ordered it because I like the power and I hope that I just got a lemon the first time. But I will be keeeping the box this time, just in case. "Fantastic machine", This machine makes juicing fun and easy to clean up. The motor is powerful and not very loud. The juicer can go through tough vegetables/ fruits. I am very satisfied with this purchase and now make fresh vegetable juice first thing in the morning and before I go train in the evening. The combination of juicing, eating healthy and my training is helping me shed pounds and given me lot's of energy. This juicer is user friendly, not complicated and fun, be good to it and it will be good to you. 
Read this reviews before You buy... "Breville BJE510XL Ikon 900-Watt Juicer", I was disappointed to find that I could still wring out juice from the overly wet pulp when it was done. I thought I did my research but found a lower price juicer (different brand) to be better. I sent this one back. I think the screen holes that the juice is supposed to go through are too small. I tried different speed settings when juicing and that didn't make a difference. Would not recommend this product. "Excellent Design", I bought this juicer a few weeks ago and am very satisfied. It works well and looks good. I like the fact that you can adjust the speed of the juicer to fit the type of food you are juicing (e.g., #1, lowest setting, for soft fruits like ripe bananas; #5, highest setting, for hard vegetables like carrots). It's very quiet on the lower setting, but a bit noisy on the highest. It has an elegant design and a fairly small footprint. Overall, an A. "stainless steel whirling dervish", A very well designed and well made product. My wife loves it, and even our 5 year old can help. Variable speeds with helpful guides make switching between fruits a no-brainer. "The Best", I have own this juicer for two months and I am very pleased with the results. It is very easy to use. Reading instructions are simple. The parts are easy to assemble and take apart when it is time to clean. The five speed is a must compared to those of lesser speeds. I can juice all day. Your body will love you for the good nutrients and also you will start feeling great. This juicer is great for kids that don't eat their vegetables. My child never eats vegetables, but he loves to dring juice. Great way to give him all of his vegetables in a cup. This juicer is highly recommended. "Absolutely love it!", This is my second juicer, first one was by Waring and I remember it being very loud. I used it only couple of times and than got annoyed with it and it spent couple of years on my counter without being used at all. Than we had a fire and Waring was destroyed and I wasn't upset at all. Now acupuncturist suggested for my sick daughter to drink fresh juices everyday. I was petrified. After a lot of research I decided to give Breville Ikon a try. It's been a week now and I absolutely love it! From the moment my 2.5 year old said "Mommy, juice!" to the moment when she actually was drinking fresh apple juice passed only about 1 minute. I keep all my fruits cleaned on the big dish on my counter, I just grabbed 3 small apples and voila! I have to admit that I didn't core them or anything, just threw them in whole - this was faster and easier, because my daughter could change her mind any minute. Now I' using it 4-5 times a day for the whole family and it's really an enjoyable experience. Cleaning is very easy, the machine is not loud and looks just great. Don't look any further! UPDATE 9/9/2008 1. I found that it's even easier to clean all plastic parts with the baby bottle brush that has a sponge on the tip. 2. I'm experimenting with new fruits and vegetables everyday and wanted to share couple of recipes that came out really tasty. I'm also experimenting with the vegetables that don't impact the taste too much, so my kids don't refuse it. So far these combinations were a huge hit amongst them: Peach-Mango-Apple-Carrot+1 tsp of heavy cream for beta-carotene absorption Apple-Sugar Plums-Strawberry-Pumpkin+ cream Zucchini-apple-sweet potato+cream (you can spice it up with some cinnamon if you like) I will add more recipes as I come up with them. Enjoy! Ok, here's more: I also tried pineapple - carrot - apple and pineapple makes a super delicious creamy juice Also, I never could feed any kind of squash or pumpkin to my kids before, they just wouldn't it it. I decided to try and put a butternut squash into the juicer with apples and carrots and it tasted really great with a tiny beat of cream too. Kids really liked it. |
