"AWESOME"
Awesome product, if you like a latte or lots of froth, this is the easiest way to get it. It definitely works best with cold skim milk, and the longer is sits, the thicker the froth. If you use very hot coffee and add the cold milk, you got the perfect temperature! Also washes or rinses very well, I keep mine in the dish drain, so it is always readily available.

"glass is very fragile"
The frother works extremely well, however the glass of the frother is very thin and brittle and will crack and break with the slightest impact. I have broken two already while washing dishes. There is NO REPLACEMENT glass container available, so if you break it, you spend another $20.00 to buy a replacement. Bonjour makes a frother also, and they sell a replacement glass container for about $10.00. I guess I'm clumsy, so I'm going to buy a Bonjour next time.

"too hot to handle"
This product froths milk very nicely and if you like extra frothy milk it is an excellent product. And on this basis alone easily worth five (5) stars. Clean-up and maintenance is a snap as the bottom portion of the frother is easily disassembled and cleaned. I purchased this as a replacement to the previous generation of Bodum Frothers and have found the following challenges while using this product:
a) while frothing the pour spout isn't properly covered by the cap and on occasion foamy milk spills onto the kitchen counter
b) the meshing seems better suited for a French press, which means separating the foam for a pretty cup display is a bit of a challenge (hint, don't use slotted portion of the cap, just pull the entire plunger mechanism out and use a spoon to separate the foam)
c) HOT WHILE HANDLING: admittedly I like my milk as close to burnt without burning, so this sucker is very hot when coming out of the microwave and this is my primary complaint. The previous version had a nice handle connected to the glass easy for gripping the smoking hot vessel while frothing milk. I still have not found a tolerable solution to this.

Good product and does what it says it will do. But if you like really hot milk for frothing you will need to find a solution for holding the hot glass in hand. Otherwise, a really good product.

What our customer's say!

"Great product for the money", I purchased this after my rechargeable Bon Jour frother died within a couple of months--just couldn't justify another $39 to make a latte. I actually had pretty low expectations, but that was quickly corrected when I used it. It is very easy to use, makes great froth and easy to clean. I've tried it starting with cold milk, frothing and then heating as well as heating then frothing and the results are similar--although frothing cold milk then heating seems to create a little more froth. If you have a few extra minutes, let it sit after you froth and it is even better!
Although I love the product and would recommend, I thought I would note three issues: 1) milk comes up out of the top hole (where the plunger goes in and out) as you froth and can make a bit of a mess--runs down the side. 2) The froth can sometimes be too thick and essentially like a meringue. I haven't figured out whether that is something I'm doing differently or the frother (btw, I use 2% milk). 3) the glass container seems very thin and I'm on pins and needles that I'll inadvertently knock it over. That said, I'd definitely buy again.

"Very fragile glass", I used this product only a few times when I discovered what amounts to a hole at the bottom of the glass. I was very careful in handling and washing it and have absolutely no idea what caused this defect. While I was pleased with the performance for the few times I used it, I would not recommend this product due to the extreme fragility of the glass.

"Excelent way to enjoy your coffee w/o the Starbucks price", This milk frother is affordable, easy to use, easy to clean and your cappuccinos end up being and tasting even better than the Starbucks or Panera ones

"Bodum Chambord 5oz Milk Frother", This little Bodum manual frother works better than any of the battery powered "wand" frothers I've tried, and nearly as well as a steam frother. Using a microwave oven, you can warm the milk in less than a minute right in the Bodum flask. Then about ten seconds of easy pumping fills the flask to overflowing with thick froth that stays fluffy in your mug. But handle the Bodum flask with care, because the glass breaks easily. I broke my first flask after about three months. But the price is so reasonable, I didn't hesitate to order a replacement.

"Perfect for our needs", My wife and I enjoy a cup of capucchino on a Saturday morning and this frother is perfect for making the milk. Friends have an electric frother and have said they envy our simple little device.

We put the 5 oz. of milk in the beaker (there is a "fill to" line) then pop it in the microwave for 1 minute. I then froth up a bunch of milk in literary 5 or 6 seconds. The foam is very sturdy and stands up well to pouring.

One downside is that there really isn't enough milk for more than two cups of coffee, so when we have company I have to go through the process a couple of times. I was tempted, once, to use more milk than recommended and it was difficult to froth and got a bit messy. The fill line, at about 1/4 the way up the glass is about as far as I dare go now.
